Well idk about stuff like this, but if this is true then I need to either:
1. Remove the discussion rule regarding the novel.
2. Modify it to allow parts of the novel that don't contradict the Manga or Anime as "supporting material".

the difference is anime events are referenced in the manga, and they are far more consistent with the manga than the movie is, and was created while the manga was going on, which is why we consider the anime canon to the manga in the first place.
it's a whole different matter from what is essentially a first draft of the Momoshiki arc created before the anime or manga was even going to exist. with contradictions and a clear difference of intent in some scenes.
