It's your boy Arc7Kuroi here, featuring my accomplice Cyberblader90, bringing you a ******* meaty ass doc. I'll post the link to the doc and then also post the sections in spoilers here, so y'all doc enjoyers can read the doc as it's meant to be read, and y'all vsbw format "fans" can read it here. Idk if this thread is more ambitious than my uni Bleach threads, it has potential to be ig. Obviously I'm buttering y'all up for when I plan to shit on the Bankai multiplier, so remember any joy you get from this thread is fleeting, HA. I'm being antagonistic here as a joke don't ban me please. In all seriousness, this is the most fun I've had preparing a Bleach thread for vsbw in a long ass time, and I hope y'all enjoy reading this regardless of if we share the same viewpoints. As always, stay civil, be respectful, and let's deliberate!

Chapter 1: Introduction

1.1 Background

Throughout much of the discussion within the online community, Bleach’s sole planetary scale has been the husk of Reio sustaining one if not all three realms. In this case, the realms are considered each their own planet, and the destruction of the planets is widely accepted to be anywhere from a one to three times baseline planetary (defined by Earth’s GBE). Following that, Bleach Movie 1 became accepted as applicable canon for scaling. During that film a small planetary feat is performed and with enough argumentation was accepted for general scaling of the highest tiers of the verse.

However, it is our belief that the oversaturation of “planetary Reio scaling” has deluded the vast majority of Bleach power scalers that “Reio level” gate keeps the rest of the verse from reaching planetary levels of power, because only Reio can be that level. The hope of this document is to not only dispel that notion, but also bring awareness to the vast and rich planetary range Bleach meta that extends far beyond Thousand Year Blood War characters scaling to Reio.

Lastly, this document will be rather lengthy, albeit there is a purpose to that. The reason this is structured to contain so much content is because the planetary range Bleach meta is not based around a single scale, rather it is a multifaceted web of scaling that all connects and links together to form a powerful argument stronger than the sum of its individual components.

1.2 Memories of Nobody

As alluded to above, in the first film Soul Society and the living world are dragged together by the power of the Blanks and eventually pushed back by an instant release of all the Blanks’ power. The Kyogoku (a dimension made from Blanks) contracts, creating a pulling force that can drag the World of the Living and Soul Society into a collision. Said collision would be so catastrophic that it could destroy up to both realms. This is possible because Blanks are souls without memories, making them pure energy as souls are composed of energy and memory; so, they provide an energy source capable of accomplishing such an impressive feat. Both the Blanks passively dragging the worlds together and Senna actively using the Blanks to push them apart have been calculated to around small planetary.

1.3 Zanka no Tachi

The first case in the manga where an actual character poses a threat to the planet comes when Yamamoto activates his Bankai, Zanka no Tachi. Unohana states that if Yamamoto doesn’t finish the fight soon, his Bankai power will destroy Soul Society. However, Yamamoto doesn’t display much large-scale destruction outside of slowly evaporating all water in Soul Society. This has caused some confusion surrounding the validity of Unohana’s claim, but further reading of Yamamoto’s fight answers this question.

In the past, Zanka no Tachi would erupt with an exploding flame every time Yamamoto attacked. In the present, Zanka no Tachi concentrates all that power into the sharp edge of the Zanpakuto, no longer emitting an explosive flame. Considering the only time Yamamoto unleashed his Bankai prior to the Thousand Year Blood War was in the past against Yhwach for the first time, Unohana has only bared witness to the Zanka no Tachi of the past. Therefore, her claim is based on a version of Yamamoto’s Bankai that did spew out massive, destructive flames, perfectly explaining why she was worried about Yamamoto destroying Soul Society. The key difference between Yamamoto’s Bankai in the now versus a thousand years ago lies with a term coined by the power scaling community, attack potency.
Attack potency describes how much energy an attack scales to, rather than an attack’s destructive capacity which describes how much the attack can destroy. While attack potency violates conservation of energy laws, it’s a common concession made when scaling fictional verses that can’t be expected to follow all physical laws to a perfect degree. To dive into an example of the difference between attack potency and destructive capacity: if a character is stated to contain the power to destroy the universe in a single punch, but their punches only destroy mountains that would amount to universal attack potency; on the other hand, if a character outright destroys the entire universe with a single attack, that would be an example of universal destructive capacity. In that example both characters scale to universal amounts of energy, but both don’t have to inherently destroy the physical universe.

To bring things back to Yamamoto’s Bankai, his past Bankai would be the destructive capacity version of the Bankai (creating massive fiery area of effect attacks), but his current Bankai is the attack potency version (condensing all the original power into just the tip of the blade). Although, we are not claiming Yamamoto doesn’t have an immense area of effect with his present Bankai. Yamamoto clearly has a wide reach as all water on the planet is evaporating, rather this was just to explain that Unohana is basing her statement on a version of Zanka no Tachi that was much more destructive capacity than attack potency based than the one we see in the manga. This is made further impressive when Yamamoto claims that his condensed Bankai is even more powerful than the Bankai he displayed in the past. To top it off, Yamamoto adds more consistency by saying he will burn Soul Society to the ground. The phrase “burn to the ground” meaning “completely destroyed by fire” as confirmed by multiple sources.

We are aware of how semantical we got with Yamamoto’s phrase; however, in the context of his other Bankai statements (completely erasing everything with the power of his reiatsu flames being repeated multiple times) it becomes a rather consistent interpretation. Furthermore, you will come to see shortly in Chapter 3 that Yamamoto has additional scaling above “planet destroying” weapons/feats that make this all the more consistent. The value when calculated comes out to casually moon level.

1.4 Reio

Reio’s scaling and feats are probably the simplest and most easy to grasp as he is the creator god figure of the Bleach verse. While there exists plenty of lore for Reio’s past, we will focus on the husk that acts as the world’s lynchpin as seen in the manga, due to his past self not having any relevant scaling (for planetary scaling) to other characters.

Without Reio’s encapsulated husk, all three realms will be entirely destroyed, and this is echoed by both Ichibe and Yhwach. Yhwach elaborates more on Reio’s scenario by explaining how Reio stabilizes Soul Society, and in turn the rest of the Bleach universe (not all too relevant to the planetary scaling). From this most would agree that the enshrined Reio has planetary scaling ranging from one to three times. However, there exists some confusion and skepticism surrounding the specifics of Reio’s stabilization which lead to questioning of the above interpretation. Funny enough, Senna and the Blanks offer a unique answer to said question.

As seen throughout the Memories of Nobody movie (among the links attached in section 1.2), the planets themselves are surrounded by these black-red shells. These shells are the dimensional barriers or boundaries for the realms, else they would be openly exposed to the chaotic reishi void of Garganta and the other realms themselves. During the movie when Senna creates a massive explosion to push the worlds apart, no visible damage is done to the boundaries. Additionally, Senna is able to perform this feat using only a small portion of the Soul Cycle; we know the amount of Blanks are an insignificant portion because they don’t cause any noticeable perturbations within the balance of souls and multiple pop in and out of existence without cause for worry. This is pertinent due to Reio not only nearly shattering the boundaries Senna couldn’t damage, but also potentially controlling the entire Soul Cycle. While Tokinada’s father withheld the entire truth from Tokinada, this statement is likely connected to the fact that the entire cycle flows through Soul Society that Reio must keep stable (as mentioned in section 1.2 souls have energy).

Point in case, Reio’s husk itself possesses power to passively keep Soul Society from collapsing and far outscales Senna’s own power with the Blanks (which is nearly planetary on its own). Soul Society’s lynchpin is easily at least planetary with even higher avenues of scaling, albeit they aren’t important to the premise of this document.

1.5 Outline

Now that the groundwork has been laid out (where Reio’s corpse scales, the supporting feat through Bleach’s first movie, and the true power of Yamamoto’s Bankai), we are going to outline the path this document will take you through what we believe to be the most consistent and supported tier 5 arguments within Bleach.

First, the topic of transcendence and quantifying it will be tackled and explained. Next, mention of the Sokyoku, its power, and where it falls consistently and inconsistently will be discussed. Finally, the Can’t Fear Your Own World lore and scaling will be expanded upon before wrapping this up in the conclusion. Without further adieu, please entertain us and enjoy the dive through the spiderweb that is tier 5 Bleach.

Chapter 2: Transcendence

2.1 Reiatsu Perception Inability

Throughout all of the beginning half of Bleach, characters are constantly shouting out and gawking at powerful enemies’ power levels. It is not until the introduction of second Hogyoku fusion Aizen that we learn one can become so vastly superior to their peers that their power can no longer be perceived. This amp ends up being the largest amp portrayed throughout the entire series. To quantify such an amp, we will dive into the largest stated amp that was capable of being sensed.

A few things need to be established, Uryu’s scaling and canon stated multipliers. Uryu with an explosion that required preparation time wasn’t able to put down base Szayelaporro. Meanwhile Ichigo with just his Bankai is capable of evenly matching base Grimmjow, Grimmjow being ranked six puts him vastly above Szayelaporro who is only ranked eight. To no one’s surprise, Bankai Ichigo is stronger than Uryu in this arc. Ichigo when hollowfied is able to match base Grimmjow’s Gran Rey Cero. Gran Rey Cero being the ultimate Cero places it above Cero Oscuras, which is a ten times attack potency amp, making Gran Rey Cero and thus Ichigo’s Hollow Mask at least a ten times amp as well. Resurrección Ulquiorra is able to effortlessly put down Hollow Mask Bankai Ichigo, and Uryu can sense that Ulquiorra’s Cero Oscuras. Ulquiorra then enters Segunda Etapa, surpassing anything he’s down prior, and Uryu can still sense that power. Full Hollow Ichigo proceeds to quash Segunda Etapa Ulquiorra’s Cero Oscuras, with Uryu being able to sense Full Hollow Ichigo’s power.

That leaves us with the following scaling chain: Uryu < Bankai Ichigo < Hollow Mask Bankai Ichigo (10x) < Resurrección Ulquiorra’s Cero Oscuras (10x) < Segunda Etapa Ulquiorra’s Cero Oscuras (10x) < Full Hollow Ichigo. This shows us that characters in Bleach can sense power differences that range to superior than a thousand times. All of this culminating in the fact that being unable to sense someone’s reiatsu indicates they are at least 1000 times stronger than you are. We will dive into the consistency of this amp in section 2.4.

2.2 Deicide

Manga only readers may not be aware of how powerful fourth Hogyoku fusion and God Aizen really are. Next to an image of fourth Hogyoku fusion Aizen we are given an incredible fact, that Aizen had become a suitable replacement for Reio and reached Reio’s level. By the time Aizen had achieved his fourth Hogyoku fusion (sometimes referred to as Butterfly Aizen), he had obtained power on par with Reio. Aizen then attains his final Hogyoku fusion and is stated to have surpassed Reio among transcending everything, adding further consistency and concreteness to Aizen reaching heights beyond that of Reio’s husk at the bare minimum.

As many are aware, Ichigo after training in the Dangai and accepting Zangetsu into himself was in a whole separate league of power from Aizen. Immediately after exiting the Dangai, Ichigo was already powerful enough where fourth Hogyoku fusion Aizen was unable to sense his power. Then despite obtaining another evolution, Aizen still could not feel Ichigo’s reiatsu when he unleashed the Final Getsuga Tenshou. At which point Ichigo slew Aizen with Mugetsu, far surpassing everything in the series prior.

Combining everything we’ve concluded so far in this chapter, Final Getsuga Tenshou Ichigo would scale over a thousand times above God Aizen. Placing the likes of fourth and final Hogyoku fusion Aizen at and above planetary, and Ichigo reaching large planetary.

2.3 Scaling

The scaling based on the knowledge provided in this chapter is rather simple: Reio’s husk = fourth Hogyoku fusion Aizen < God Aizen < post-Dangai training Ichigo < Final Getsuga Tenshou Ichigo.

Where Ichigo scales at least a thousand times stronger than Aizen due to Aizen being unable to perceive Ichigo’s reiatsu. Reio and Aizen scaling to or above baseline planetary, and Ichigo scaling decently into large planetary.

2.4 Narrative Consistency

The scaling itself is rather blatantly consistent. Aizen is directly stated to have reached Reio’s level and then even surpassed it with his final form, which fits his goal of being the first to sit atop the throne of the world as he proclaimed to Ukitake after the Soul Society arc. However, what we are sure people are gawking the most at is the multiplier proposed above.

The two instances where this amp may be contradicted reside with Isshin’s Getsuga against second Hogyoku fusion Aizen and God Aizen harming post-Dangai training Ichigo with Fragor. That being said, they are only surface level concerns that are better contextualized as you dive further into the scenes themselves. The third databook, Unmasked, informs us that Aizen was not hurt by Isshin’s Getsuga at all. Furthermore, not only is Aizen not taking the Bleach Sannin seriously in the slightest, the instant he exerts any effort he one shots all three of them. A rather similar case occurs with Ichigo, throughout the entire bout he isn’t taking Aizen seriously at all. We see this as when Ichigo gets serious he effortlessly shatters God Aizen’s strongest attack (Ultra Fragor which is several Fragor fused in one attack), and even states that prior to unleashing the Final Getsuga Tenshou he was merely wasting time. It is made abundantly clear that when a character’s reiatsu can’t be sensed by their opponent, they can easily defeat their opponent in a single blow.

This kind of amp is portrayed to be the absolute pinnacle of power increases within the series at this point, as Aizen uses it to ascend from “normal” Shinigami into a being that surpasses the likes of God. We see characters like Ulquiorra being capable of amping themselves over a hundred times from his base form to his strongest attacks, so for this amp to reach such levels when it is supposed to be the largest displayed yet is very consistent. Lastly, as noted above, Ichigo had far surpassed everything in the series until that point when he unleashed Mugetsu. So, Ichigo scaling so high when he vastly surpassed Aizen, who obtained power beyond reason, is extremely consistent based on showings and statements.

Chapter 3: Sokyoku

3.1 Yield

Sokyoku possesses the power to destroy the entire planet through insane thermal disruption. The spear can generate massive amounts of reiryoku that can overwhelm everything, giving further credence to the manga statement. Ichigo’s “ability” to reasonably scale to this will be discussed in section 3.4, and will be ignored until then.

Based on the information provided about the Sokyoku, it is able to destroy the entire Soul Society by means of a violent explosion. Tackling this with the simplest interpretation would imply that the halberd has planetary attack power. As shown in the above scans, Sokyoku is fueled by a million Zanpakuto, a similar weapon is powered as such. The Kido Cannon in Memories of Nobody is powered by slightly less than 200 Shinigami. This is significant because as we see all throughout Bleach, meaning that the average Zanpakuto would be a relative power source to the average Shinigami. Thus, the insight we gain is that Sokyoku should be a more powerful weapon than the Kido Cannon as it has a vastly larger energy source. This Kido Cannon can not only destroy the Kyogoku, but also the connecting dimension, and even cause damage to both worlds. This destruction would occur over the span of several minutes at most, as the hour time frame given for the collision of the worlds was nearing its end.

Consider the fact that a much weaker weapon than Sokyoku can destroy an entire Kyogoku, its connecting dimension, and deal large damage to Soul Society and the living world within a short time frame. Now couple that with the statement that Sokyoku can destroy the entire planet of Soul Society, and it becomes obvious where this halberd should scale, that being planetary.

3.2 Spirits Are Forever With You

Spirits Are Forever With You (SAFWY) is a story that takes place during the time skip between the end of Aizen’s imprisonment in Muken and the start of the Lost Agent arc. During this story, our hero (Kenpachi Zaraki of all people) fights interesting characters with even more interesting statements. Among the most impressive is his fight with prior Kenpachi, Kenpachi Azashiro.

Azashiro’s Shikai works by taking all the reishi he’s fused with in his Bankai and condensing it into a single, ultra-high power spear. Before his final bout with Zaraki, he forms a reishi spear so dense in reishi that it far exceeds the capabilities of the Sokyoku. Not only does Zaraki go on to defeat Azashiro with this reishi spear, he returns in a good mood despite being wounded by the spear. Kenpachi Zaraki was able to clash and take hits from a weapon that far surpasses the power of the Sokyoku spear.

3.3 Scaling

To summarize who scales in simple terms, those who scale to or above Sokyoku can be described as “Elite Sternritter level” characters. The reason we put it like this is because that caliber of character varies depending on who you ask, and at the cost of not desiring a complex scaling chain we will only include those who obviously scale.

As we alluded to in section 1.3, Yamamoto’s additional scale to tier 5 is through upscaling the Sokyoku. Yamamoto at the start of the Thousand Year Blood War arc is stated to remain the strongest of the Gotei 13, which would include the likes of Kenpachi Zaraki. This is what we meant by “tier 5 Bleach is made strong/consistent when observed in totality”, Yamamoto scaling to tier 5 is made immensely more consistent with multiple avenues of achieving such a scale. Other characters that would scale include the likes of Kenpachi’s opponents: possibly Cien, Yamamoto (as mentioned above), Yhwach (this was possibly Royd Loyd, albeit Yhwach scales above Royd anyhow), Gremmy, possibly Pernida, Gerard, and Hikone, among the other characters who scale to the people Kenpachi fought.

The scaling chain would begin like this: Sokyoku < Azashiro’s Shikai reishi spear ~< post-time skip Kenpachi ~< everyone who scales to or above Kenpachi. Where the Sokyoku itself scales to planetary levels of power.

3.4 Narrative Consistency

There are a few items to address: does Ichigo actually scale and is this backed by the narrative? To be as blunt as possible, we (and we’re sure many others) believe Ichigo’s feats against Sokyoku are outliers. This shouldn’t be all that surprising, Ichigo’s other feats don’t come close to this, and it makes little sense for the series to hype up nigh-end game Kenpachi reaching those levels if Shikai Ichigo did it so long ago. Furthermore, you could also claim that Zangetsu temporarily amped his offense and defense against Sokyoku so Ichigo wouldn’t have his soul entirely vaporized, considering Zangetsu wants to protect Ichigo above all else. So, it’s extremely questionable if Ichigo’s normal statistics would scale to Sokyoku regardless, even if they did it would still very much qualify for an outlier.

Azashiro being capable of surpassing the Sokyoku with his Shikai (after merging all the reishi in Seireitei’s atmosphere) is not far fetched when you discover that he is a threat so great Squad Zero came to stop him. Squad Zero being tasked with protecting the lynchpin of the entire world. Furthermore, Azashiro was a worthy match for a Zaraki that was able to defeat Cien, Cien being equivalent in power to Full Hollow Ichigo (as seen in section 2.1). Now humor us with the mention of Full Hollow Ichigo in this planetary meta document. To preface what is about to be said, we are well aware of the questionable canonicity of the fourth Bleach movie. That being said, we are not promoting an acceptance of Hell Verse as canon, but rather provide an argument diving into the mindset of those who have worked on Bleach for a vast amount of time.

Within the fourth movie, Ichigo’s Full Hollow form destroys multiple layers of Hell, where Hell (as described by Kubo) is a place of multiple worlds. This is later confirmed by the main antagonist and leads to Ichigo and Yamamoto believing Full Hollow Ichigo can destroy the world. While it is impossible to determine how much of the movie Kubo did or did not agree with, we found it worth mentioning, in terms of corporate canon, Full Hollow Ichigo tier characters are very consistently portrayed as threats to the entire planet. However, this is merely a supporting argument showing what the writers of the anime think this caliber of character is capable of, and we recognize that it does not stand alone as its own argument.

Chapter 4: Can’t Fear Your Own World

4.1 Hikone

Hikone is an artificial soul crafted as an amalgamation of all the important races within Bleach. They were created by Tokinada in order to replace the position of Soul King with someone Tokinada could easily manipulate. Throughout the events of Can’t Fear Your Own World (CFYOW), Hikone grows immensely in strength from someone who could barely fend off the three remaining Espada and surviving Sternritter (Grimmjow, Neliel, Halibel, Liltotto, Giselle, and Zombie Bambietta) to someone so powerful they were a match for the strongest of the verse. This section will detail a large variety of scaling Hikone has that puts them as one of the strongest characters in the entire series.

The first argument is that a weaker base Hikone scales to Ikomikidomoe. Ikomikidomoe is the same Hollow that in the past was able to defeat Yamamoto (prior to Yamamoto getting his Zanpakuto). This is quite impressive considering that base Yamamoto is capable of taking the full force of his amplified Shikai flames without falling unconscious, and as mentioned in prior sections, Yamamoto scales above the likes of SAFWY Kenpachi Zaraki. There is a caveat to mention, Ikomikidomoe had his name sealed by Ichibe and is implied to have been weakened by that. However, later Hikone would fuse their and Ikomikidomoe’s power and reach heights greater than the sum of their individual powers prior, and Hikone is even stronger in base by the end of the story than when they claim to be relative to Ikomikidomoe. All this means that they should be in that same realm of power regardless.

The second argument is much more obvious and blatant than the first. The second Hikone activates their Resurreccion, everyone participating at the climactic battle (which include people who have bore witness to the Soul King in one form or another) instinctively knew Hikone possessed all the qualities to become the Soul King. This is a very peculiar statement, being that the same statement was given to Ichigo Kurosaki. As is common knowledge at this point, all the Soul King is is a lynchpin who prevents the collapse of the realms through raw spiritual energy, and both Ichigo and Hikone are brute force fighters. All they have is a large amount of power at their disposal and a reiatsu mix of all the races, and as Tokinada states, someone with the power of the races and the qualities of the Soul King can destroy the world as they please. Hikone’s full power reaching Reio levels of output is not far fetched considering what the narrator and certain characters claim about their power level.

When the narrator is listing off characters who can defeat and/or fight Hikone at their peak power, they make mention that Muken Aizen could only defeat Hikone if he were serious. To put that into a scaling chain would net the following: casual Muken Aizen < Full Power Hikone < serious Muken Aizen ~ Soul King Yhwach ~ True Bankai Ichigo > True Shikai Hollow Ichigo’s strongest attack > True Shikai Hollow Ichigo > True Shikai Ichigo > Final Getsuga Tenshou Ichigo > post-Dangai training Ichigo > God Aizen > fourth Hogyoku fusion Aizen = Reio’s husk ~ planetary. The difference between True Shikai Ichigo and True Bankai Ichigo in terms of attack potency is a hundred times, and as proposed in section 2.1, the difference between Final Getsuga Tenshou Ichigo and God Aizen is a thousand times. This would put the Reio’s corpse’s spiritual power a hundred thousand times beneath a serious Muken Aizen, meanwhile Hikone’s full power is so great it would require Aizen to be serious to win. Muken Aizen needing to get serious to defeat Hikone at their peak would indicate that Hikone is somewhat relative to Muken Aizen, and it is important to understand that you can be relative to someone and still lose to them.

Furthermore, Liltotto makes a statement that adds further consistency to Hikone being above the likes of casual god tiers in the verse. When Hikone is charging up a cero, Liltotto claimed it was an extraordinary amount of reiatsu unlike any she felt before. Liltotto having fought and lost to a casual Soul King Yhwach, should have a decent awareness of Yhwach’s casual power output. This is actually significant, as Yhwach as the new Soul King is passively keeping the planets from entirely annihilating themselves. So again, this can produce two scaling chains, both placing Hikone above Reio’s husk: planetary ~ Reio’s husk ~< casual Soul King Yhwach < base Hikone’s amped Cero < Soul King Yhwach ~ True Bankai Ichigo > True Shikai Hollow Ichigo’s strongest attack > True Shikai Hollow Ichigo > True Shikai Ichigo > Final Getsuga Tenshou Ichigo > post-Dangai training Ichigo > God Aizen > fourth Hogyoku fusion Aizen = Reio’s husk ~ planetary. As said in the previous paragraph, the difference between the god tiers and Reio’s enshrined body is a hundred thousand times. Meanwhile, Hikone is able to surpass said god tiers at their casual power.

At this point, it should be abundantly obvious that Hikone is a “Soul King” level fighter. Not only are they outright stated to possess the qualities of the Soul King, but they also are so powerful that the god tiers would have to take them seriously in a fight to be capable of winning. This shouldn’t come as a surprise, as later in section 4.5 you’ll learn how the entire point of Hikone’s character was to get this strong.

4.2 Kenpachi Zaraki

Kenpachi doesn’t have much new scaling outside of fighting and matching Resurreccion Hikone in his base without his eyepatch. Which is quite impressive in and of itself after what was brought to light above. Additionally, Zaraki finally becomes a Kenpachi fitting of his title, as he is finally the strongest Shinigami as confirmed by the author. However, the most interesting feat comes from when Zaraki fights Ikomikidomoe.

After Hikone’s defeat, Ikomikidomoe can finally burst forth and he consumes fragments of the Reio to break Ichibe’s seal by gaining a vast amount of power. However, this is all for naught as Kenpachi releases Nozarashi and obliterates Ikomikidomoe. This is sneakily impressive thanks to a fight that occurs between Ichibe and Yhwach in the manga. Yhwach steals Yamamoto’s Bankai within his medallion before killing Yamamoto in the first invasion. Then during the second invasion, Ichibe is able to seal Yamamoto’s Bankai and prevent Yhwach from making use of it. Because Ikomikidomoe was able to break free from Ichibe’s seal with raw power, but Yamamoto’s Bankai could be sealed by Ichibe just fine, that would prove that Ikomikidomoe in that instant surpassed Yamamoto’s Bankai. Then Kenpachi one shot that Ikomikidomoe. Zaraki surpassing an opponent who surpassed Zanka no Tachi is quite the impressive feat.

4.3 Ginjo

Ginjo is a very interesting and underrated character within the events of CFYOW. Particularly a statement that has drawn quite the controversy is of interest here, and we shall explain why it’s actually rather consistent. Ginjo’s Getsuga Tenshou rivaled Ichigo’s strongest Getsuga as stated by the narrator. Now let’s break this down.

First thing to draw attention to is Ginjo’s state in this scene. Ginjo when he fires this attack is in his Bankai and it is outright stated that this attack was amplified by the intense emotions he was feeling at the time. Ginjo’s Bankai is a tad bit different from your average Bankai, if you pay close attention to its appearance you’ll notice it is very Hollow-like. This isn’t surprising because Ginjo stole Ichigo’s powers (containing reiatsu from all races), as indicated by the characteristic black eyes and tattoo markings even Ichigo would later adorn in the final arc with his Hollow powers. Ginjo can even fire a Cero (or Cero-like) attack in Bankai. The point here being that Ginjo is receiving Bankai and Hollow amps in this state. Furthermore, we know your emotions and state of mind can enhance your power as stated by Yoruichi, and with how Ichigo’s emotions vastly affect his power level. Ginjo was even stated to be able to possibly combat Hikone had he not been preoccupied. So, we have an emotion amped, Bankai-Hollow form that’s fused with the reiatsu of all races, Soul King candidate who can put up a fight against Resurreccion Hikone, Ginjo’s strongest Getsuga rivaling Ichigo’s strongest Getsuga (as seen in the story this would refer to this attack). Emotion amped Bankai Ginjo being able to reach a fatigued True Bankai Ichigo’s power is not only outright stated, but also backed up by other statements within CFYOW.

4.4 Scaling

There are a few scaling chains introduced within CFYOW, some of which you’ve been introduced to above. We’ll run down a simplified list of the chains. Hikone’s first scaling chain: casual Muken Aizen < Full Power Hikone < serious Muken Aizen ~ Soul King Yhwach ~ True Bankai Ichigo > True Shikai Hollow Ichigo’s strongest attack > True Shikai Hollow Ichigo > True Shikai Ichigo > Final Getsuga Tenshou Ichigo > post-Dangai training Ichigo > God Aizen > fourth Hogyoku fusion Aizen = Reio’s husk. Hikone’s second scaling chain: Reio’s husk ~< casual Soul King Yhwach < base Hikone’s amped Cero < Soul King Yhwach ~ True Bankai Ichigo > True Shikai Hollow Ichigo’s strongest attack > True Shikai Hollow Ichigo > True Shikai Ichigo > Final Getsuga Tenshou Ichigo > post-Dangai training Ichigo > God Aizen > fourth Hogyoku fusion Aizen = Reio’s husk. Kenpachi’s first scaling chain: Full Power Hikone ~ base eyepatchless Zaraki < Shikai Kenpachi < Bankai Kenpachi. Kenpachi’s second scaling chain: Bankai Yamamoto < Reio fragments consumed Ikomikidomoe < Shikai Kenpachi < Bankai Kenpachi. Ginjo’s scaling chain: Full Power Hikone likely ~ Bankai Ginjo < emotion amped Bankai Ginjo ~ fatigued True Bankai Ichigo.

Kenpachi Zaraki and Bankai Ginjo both scale relative to Hikone who far outscales the Reio’s husk. As you are well aware at this point, Reio’s husk scales to planetary levels of power. Additionally, Hikone should downscale only slightly from a serious Muken Aizen, scaling Zaraki, Ginjo, and Hikone into large planetary. Kenpachi adding further support by scaling above Zanka no Tachi.

4.5 Narrative Consistency

The upper echelon of the CFYOW cast posing threats to the entire world is rather consistent. As noted in section 4.1, Hikone’s sole purpose was to usurp the current Soul King (Yhwach’s remaining spiritual energy that was enshrined), where very early in the novels they are stated to possess the potential to become a Yhwach level threat. Hikone’s Zanpakuto being hailed as a world destroying force and a world ending threat all before they even reach the pinnacle of their power. The reason Hikone was sent on several battles throughout the entire story of the novels was to steadily increase their power level until they could become a suitable replacement for the Soul King. With this coming to fruition as Hikone by the third novel had obtained all the qualities of the Soul King, just as Ichigo had before him. Hikone at his maximum power was so strong that it would require the likes of Muken Aizen to fight seriously to win. Hikone’s character arc even revolves around them learning to think for themselves and realize the wrong in Tokinada’s manipulating them into becoming the next Soul King.

Ginjo being able to reach this “Soul King” tier with his strongest form and attacks while amped by emotions is believable as well. He can scrap with the likes of Hikone at their strongest, and even believes that he can contest with the power of Zangetsu. Furthermore, like Hikone and Ichigo, Ginjo is a mixing pot of all the races (Shinigami, Hollow, Quincy, and Fullbringer). Such hybrid characters are consistently far stronger than their peers, as they are genetically similar to the Reio, they are candidates for becoming the Soul King. To top it off, Ginjo is repetitively placed on a pedestal in comparison to his peers in combat. Ginjo possesses no anti-feats throughout the novel and is stated multiple times to be on the same plane of power as the god tiers of the verse.

Finally, it should be no shock to anyone that Kenpachi Zaraki reached this level of power. Not only has he far surpassed the power of the Sokyoku even before the war with the Quincies, he even reached a level of transcendence during the war. Kenpachi is a monster and has always been portrayed as a beast. The fact he is placed on the same stand as Ichigo and Aizen in characters who can defeat Hikone speaks volumes. Similar to the likes of Ginjo and Hikone, whenever he is on the battlefield he is touted as one of if not the strongest there. The battle hungry Zaraki having surpassed all pure Shinigami of and not of his era is truly worthy of his title of Kenpachi.

Stepping back and looking at all the “Soul King” power characters you’ll understand how reasonable it actually is. Kenpachi Zaraki at the height of his power as we’ve seen him in the story and the only character to reach levels of transcendence without being special in some way (no mixed race, no Hogyoku, no son of Reio, etc). Ginjo Kugo, Hikone Ubuginu, and Ichigo Kurosaki all containing the reiatsu of Shinigami, Hollow, Quincy, and Fullbringer, all Soul King candidates. Sosuke Aizen having stepped far beyond the realm of god after fusing with the Hogyoku and evolving over and over again. Yhwach, the son of Reio or power stripped directly from Reio, the current Soul King of the Bleach universe. All these characters are connected to the Reio directly or through their genetic makeup, and/or have reached levels of transcendence, these characters represent the absolute heights of combat power in Bleach.

Chapter 5: Conclusion

5.1 Summary

Now that you’ve finished and took the time to appreciate and digest the information presented in this document, we hope you’ve gained a new appreciation for the magnitude of power Bleach top tiers possess. We want to run through the key takeaways briefly before proposing the scaling in totality, starting with chapter 1.

In chapter 1, we discuss primarily well accepted and recognized feats such as Senna's “diet Reio” feat of moving realms with a small fraction of the Soul Cycle, and Reio himself. Then we brought up Yamamoto’s Bankai and how it can casually eviscerate the entire Soul Society by merely existing, quantified to casual moon level power. In chapter 2, we finally put a number on the gap between transcendent beings (those who cannot be sensed) and “regular” beings, with that amp reaching at least a thousand times in raw power. Then we touched up on the specifics of Aizen’s scaling to Reio. In chapter 3, the immense power of the Sokyoku and who truly scales to it was revealed, featuring new information from SAFWY. Finally in chapter 4, we detail the scarily overpowered characters that come with CFYOW and put a wrap on who can actually be considered a “god tier” within the verse.

Thank you all who went through and gave this document your time. We understand it is rather large at well over 6000 words, but as said at the start, we truly believe that all these arguments mesh well together to provide a scaling meta stronger than if the arguments presented individually. Without further adieu, let’s get into the final scaling.

5.2 Final Scaling

The scaling is going to be broken down into two sections: top tiers (they get their tier 5 scaling through Sokyoku and their own feats), and god tiers (they are the transcendent, Reio tier characters). One last thing to preface, the top tier scaling will require the most discussion as that is where the most questionability comes in terms of who scales to who, whereas the god tier scaling is rather simple.

For top tiers, the baseline will be scaling to the Sokyoku at planetary (2.487x1032 joules).
Scaling chain 1:
2.487x1032 joules = Sokyoku < Azashiro’s Shikai ~ SAFWY Kenpachi Zaraki ~ Full Power Cien ~ half shihakusho Full Hollow Ichigo < full shihakusho Full Hollow Ichigo = 4.974x1032 joules.
Now the first thing to discuss is if Segunda Etapa Ulquiorra should downscale in some way from half shihakusho Full Hollow Ichigo with his strongest attacks, considering Ulquiorra could protect himself from Ichigo’s Cero with his Cero Oscuras and Ichigo needed to amp his claws to crush Ulquiorra’s Lanza. Personally, scaling Segunda Etapa Ulquiorra’s strongest attacks to small planetary (and then his normal attacks would be 10x less) seems fine.

Scaling chain 2:
2.487x1032 joules = Sokyoku < Azashiro’s Shikai ~ SAFWY Kenpachi Zaraki ~< post-timeskip Kenpachi Zaraki < possibly Royd Loyd disguised as Yhwach < Bankai Yamamoto.
One thing to mention here, if we accept Royd Loyd as scaling or even possibly scaling, then all the Elite Sternritter (Askin, Pernida, Lille, and Gerard) would automatically scale above. This is because Liltotto states that among the Sternritter, the Elite were unparalleled among the rest, and the only exception would be Gremmy. Gremmy is excluded because he is verbatim stated to be the strongest Sternritter prior to Yhwach redistributing power with the Auswahlen. Personally, if Royd has any scaling above Zaraki, the Auswahlen amped Elite Sternritter should without a doubt scale above. This topic is fairly important, because it would scale to Shunsui, who scales to Tokinada, Yoruichi, and Byakuya in CFYOW to name a few.
Scaling chain 3:
2.487x1032 joules = Sokyoku < Azashiro’s Shikai ~ SAFWY Kenpachi Zaraki ~< post-timeskip Kenpachi Zaraki < Unohana < post-Unohana Kenpachi Zaraki ~ Gremmy < Shikai Kenpachi ~ 7 Gremmy = 1.7409x1033 joules < base Yhwach < Ichibe < Almighty Yhwach.
The only thing to discuss here is if Fullbring Bankai Ichigo should downscale from base Yhwach. Considering that Ichigo forced Yhwach to get serious and even burned Yhwach’s arm. The only people who would scale to that Ichigo are Bankai Ginjo, possibly Jugram (since we don’t know if he used the Balance or not, but considering how hax works in Bleach this may not be an issue), and Uryu scales somewhat to Jugram.
Scaling chain 4:
2.487x1032 joules = Sokyoku < Azashiro’s Shikai ~ SAFWY Kenpachi Zaraki ~< post-timeskip Kenpachi Zaraki < Unohana < post-Unohana Kenpachi Zaraki ~ Gremmy < Shikai Kenpachi ~ 7 Gremmy = 1.7409x1033 joules < Bankai Yamamoto.
Scaling chain 5:
2.487x1032 joules = Sokyoku < Azashiro’s Shikai ~ SAFWY Kenpachi Zaraki ~< post-timeskip Kenpachi Zaraki < Unohana < base Aizen ~ Kisuke ~ Isshin ~< Shikai Yamamoto.
To return to Fullbring Bankai Ichigo, I think decent discussion is warranted for scaling Fullbring Bankai above Shikai Yamamoto. Reason being, Yhwach one shot and killed Yamamoto when Yamamoto could tank his preparation Shikai flames without even passing out, but Ichigo was able to block attacks from Yhwach and even burn Yhwach’s arm. Furthermore, a similar case exists with Striped Mask Bankai Ichigo and Aizen. Considering Ichigo could harm Aizen, albeit Aizen was off guard, if Ichigo does scale it should be a downscale.
Scaling chain 6:
2.487x1032 joules = Sokyoku < Azashiro’s Shikai ~ SAFWY Kenpachi Zaraki ~< post-timeskip Kenpachi Zaraki < Unohana < base Aizen ~ Kisuke < Bankai Kisuke >~ poisoned Bankai Kisuke ~ Vollstandig Askin.
Scaling chain 7:
2.487x1032 joules = Sokyoku < Azashiro’s Shikai ~ SAFWY Kenpachi Zaraki ~< post-timeskip Kenpachi Zaraki < Unohana < post-Unohana Kenpachi Zaraki ~ Gremmy < Shikai Kenpachi ~ 7 Gremmy = 1.7409x1033 joules < Giant Gerard < Bankai Kenpachi.
Mayuri implies that towards the end of his final fight that Pernida could be approaching base post-Gremmy Kenpachi level. So, if we accept that Pernida gets relative to that Kenpachi, Mayuri, and soul shaving Nemu would scale relative to that Kenpachi as well.
Scaling chain 8:
2.487x1032 joules = Sokyoku < Azashiro’s Shikai ~ SAFWY Kenpachi Zaraki ~< post-timeskip Kenpachi Zaraki < Unohana < post-Unohana Kenpachi Zaraki ~ Gremmy < Shikai Kenpachi ~ 7 Gremmy = 1.7409x1033 joules < Giant Gerard < initial Vollstandig Gerard ~ Mature Bankai Toshiro ~ Post-Royal Guard training Byakuya’s Ikka Senjika < second Vollstandig Gerard.
That about wraps it up for all the top tier scaling, they are practically split up between 1032 to 1033 joules in terms of attack potency. Now to tackle the comparatively less complicated god tier scaling.

For the god tiers, the baseline will start above the highest top tiers, specifically the likes of Bankai Yamamoto and Ichibe. Reason being, Yamamoto’s Bankai power and Squad Zero power are seemingly common knowledge, and Aizen is stated by the narrator to have surpassed that.
Scaling chain 1:
1.7409x1033 joules = Bankai Yamamoto < fourth Hogyoku fusion Aizen < God Aizen < post-Dangai training Ichigo = 1.7409x1036 joules < Final Getsuga Tenshou Ichigo < True Shikai Ichigo < True Shikai Hollow Ichigo = 1.7409x1037 joules < True Shikai Hollow Ichigo’s Gran Rey Cero Getsuga Tenshou = 1.7409x1038 joules < True Bankai Ichigo < True Bankai Hollow Ichigo = 1.7409x1039 joules < True Bankai Hollow Ichigo’s Gran Rey Cero Getsuga Tenshou = 1.7409x1040 joules.
Scaling chain 2:
1.7409x1033 joules = Bankai Yamamoto < fourth Hogyoku fusion Aizen < God Aizen < post-Dangai training Ichigo = 1.7409x1036 joules < Final Getsuga Tenshou Ichigo < True Shikai Ichigo < True Shikai Hollow Ichigo = 1.7409x1037 joules < True Shikai Hollow Ichigo’s Gran Rey Cero Getsuga Tenshou = 1.7409x1038 joules < True Bankai Ichigo ~ Soul King Yhwach ~ serious Muken Aizen > Full Power Hikone ~ base CFYOW Kenpachi > casual Muken Aizen.
Scaling chain 3:
1.7409x1033 joules = Bankai Yamamoto < fourth Hogyoku fusion Aizen < God Aizen < post-Dangai training Ichigo = 1.7409x1036 joules < Final Getsuga Tenshou Ichigo < True Shikai Ichigo < True Shikai Hollow Ichigo = 1.7409x1037 joules < True Shikai Hollow Ichigo’s Gran Rey Cero Getsuga Tenshou = 1.7409x1038 joules < True Bankai Ichigo ~ Soul King Yhwach > Hikone’s amped Cero ~ base CFYOW Kenpachi ~ Full Power Hikone > casual Soul King Yhwach > Reio’s husk.
For scaling chains 2 and 3 the big discussion is how far should peak Hikone downscale from the well known god tiers. As far as an absolute minimum for Full Power Hikone, he should scale above Byakuya’s strongest attack, since Byakuya isn’t stated capable of even fighting Hikone. Keep in mind the author did include which characters could contend Hikone with preparation (Mayuri and Kisuke), which would put Hikone above any other character with preparation that wasn’t mentioned (Byakuya). Personally, because Aizen needs to get serious to defeat Hikone, that seems to imply some relativity between Aizen and Hikone. So, a downscale to baseline of Aizen’s tier or the absolute top of the tier right below Aizen seems quite reasonable. Also, it should be noted Shikai CFYOW Kenpachi would scale 7x above his base, we just won’t bother including it until Hikone’s scaling value gets ironed out.
Scaling chain 4:
1.7409x1033 joules = Bankai Yamamoto < fourth Hogyoku fusion Aizen < God Aizen < post-Dangai training Ichigo = 1.7409x1036 joules < Final Getsuga Tenshou Ichigo < True Shikai Ichigo ~< Almighty Yhwach.
As we said, the god tier scaling is much simpler and concluded. They really have two sections of “god tier” there’s the Deicide level god tiers and then the TYBW/CFYOW level god tiers. Thank you again for indulging in this document, we hope you enjoyed it!

I was hoping for a universal Bleach upgrade 😭.
Atleast star level Ichigo 🌝 we could have had all tiers for him.

Anyway even though i have some problem with your Inverse scaling. I agree with upgrade. It's hard to even upgrade bleach in wiki.

Just read through the doc, and I agree with the OP. Nice job putting this all together.

Although shouldn’t the transcendence multiplier be higher considering that Bankai Ichigo, at the end of the Grimmjow fight, overpowered his Desgarrón that’s stated to be his ultimate technique, putting it above Cero Oscuras

Ichigo didn't overpower the entire Desgarron, he only overpower parts of it, so I disagree with putting the reiatsu sensing inability gap higher than where I have it.

Edit: I'm heading to sleep soon so try not to run away and get too crazy here without me lel

You absolute ******* mad lad. Take my mone- I mean my agreement.

My one issue is even scaling SE Ulq anywhere close to this. Do you have the scan where Zangetsu amps his claws to crush Lanza? Cuz that’s the only way for Ulq to really scale since CO with a longer charge time (in comparison to Zangetsu’s) got negged by Zangetsu’s instant Cero which Ulq even says overpowered his CO. Cuz if Ulq scales up here then Yammy does and ……. hoo boy.

That said, I don’t really think Cien and Zangetsu should scale since Azashiro thought Kenny and Cien during that fight weren’t even worth his time iirc.

No one scales to SE Ulq is my proposal (outside characters with direct scaling to FH Ichigo). If you read the fight you’ll see the black hierro coat FH Ichigo’s fingers when he crushes Lanza. Also, you got the scan for the Cien thing?

If I remember correctly, Azashiro was defeating post-Cien fight Zaraki, but that's from a fan translation that I read in the past, and Zaraki was forced to remove some of the restraints on his power and power up in order to be able to fight back, so Cien and FH Ichigo shouldn't scale to that.

Edit: it was a fan summary

You may be right, I’ll double check that when I get the chance. If it’s too vague I’ll leave it out regardless.

Ulquiorra shouldn't scale to that IMO.
The Garganta is filled with scent of something burnt.

The Souren Soukatsui spells didn’t hit Zaraki. No, the gigai fired the spells at each other, burning them. Azashiro turns to Zaraki and bids him farewell. A hundred burnt gigai circle around Zaraki, like a merry-go-round. They chant the forbidden spell which releases an all-powerful pillar of flames in exchange for oneself — Hadou #96, Ittou Kassou.

Flames erupt with Zaraki at its centre, sacrificing the gigai’s bodies and a part of Azashiro’s soul (which was fused with the gigai) in exchange.

— Garganta

Flames are raging in the Garganta.

of 32 46

Azashiro can’t sense Zaraki’s reiatsu from the flames. It’s finally over. He turns to Yachiru behind him and asks if she plans to fight him. She says she won’t. She stares at the flames, "Ken-chan is still fine, you know?"

He thinks she’s in denial. But... a few seconds pass and Zaraki steps out of the flames. Why!? His reiatsu had disappeared! Azashiro feels... fear. He trembles. A chill runs through everything he has fused with — through all of Seireitei.

He materialises all the weapons he can and fires them at Zaraki. Die! Die! Die!

He feels another ominous reiatsu, different from Zaraki’s, well up from somewhere inside him. He turns his consciousness towards a certain place in Seireitei and a voice rings through his ears,

— "Can you hear me, Azashiro Kenpachi?"

It’s Aizen. From the Muken.

— Muken

Aizen tells Azashiro that he failed to mention one thing. Zaraki indeed lost to Ichigo once. But that’s only because, in a split second, Ichigo had grown unbelievably stronger after connecting to his Zanpakutou. Higher than Zaraki’s instinct had calculated.

~~~
Azashiro realises what Aizen’s words mean. Zaraki’s eyepatch wasn’t his only constraint. His own instincts constrain his reiatsu. Zaraki wants to fight, not to murder. He loves to fight on the brink of death. After receiving the first blow from his opponent, he’ll calculate his opponent’s strength and adjust his reiatsu to be able to fight a close fight.
If Aizen’s words are true, Zaraki merely lost to Ichigo because he couldn’t adjust his powers in time to match Ichigo’s sudden increase in power...
If he had used Ittou Kasou from the start, Zaraki would’ve probably died, but Azashiro had kept trying to kill Zaraki with as little power necessary. Causing Zaraki to adjust and release more reiatsu step by step.
Again, from a fan summary, it says Azashiro was playing at the start and that allowed Zaraki’s instincts to measure Azashiro and release more Reiatsu, after being hit by the Hado 96, he released much more Reiatsu apparently.
Zaraki (who scales to Azashiro) > Zaraki who fought Cien ~ FH Ichigo > Ulq.
So yeah they don't scale to Azashiro except for that Zaraki.
One thing to mention here, if we accept Royd Loyd as scaling or even possibly scaling, then all the Elite Sternritter (Askin, Pernida, Lille, and Gerard) would automatically scale above. This is because Liltotto states that among the Sternritter, the Elite were unparalleled among the rest, and the only exception would be Gremmy. This topic is fairly important, because it would scale to Shunsui, who scales to Tokinada, Yoruichi, and Byakuya in CFYOW to name a few.
Even if someone argued that Lil meant the elites are unparalleled compared to herself, not to the rest, you will still be able to scale almost all the elites, Gerard defeated Shikai Zaraki who is much stronger than post-SAFWY Zaraki (obviously), so he would scale, Pernida in our current accepted scaling scales to Zaraki, Meninas physically scales to post SAFWY Zaraki, Quilge is above her, Bambi as well if Im not mistaken, you might be able to scale Askin as well since he kept up with Kisuke who in CFYOW was stated that he can one-shot Tokinada who is ~ Byakuya who is > Gerard’s form who scales above Shikai Zaraki, you can also make the case that Aizen is above Retsu, and scale Kisuke to Aizen like that: Askin ~ Kisuke > Aizen > Retsu > post-SAWFY Zaraki.
So yeah Lil’s statement about the elites being unparalleled to the rest stern ritters is extremely consistent and even if you want to ignore it you will reach to the same conclusion using other scaling chains, which supports the consistency.
The only thing to discuss here is if Fullbring Bankai Ichigo should downscale from base Yhwach. Considering that Ichigo forced Yhwach to get serious and even burned Yhwach’s arm. The only people who would scale to that Ichigo are Bankai Ginjo, possibly Jugram (since we don’t know if he used the Balance or not, but considering how hax works in Bleach this may not be an issue), and Uryu scales somewhat to Jugram.
He should scale, it was implied that Ichigo is stronger than Zaraki, Byakuya, and others in the FB arc which takes place after SAFWY, so his scaling to Yhwach or to the tier itself is also consistent.
For the God tiers, I don't think there is much to discuss, but only the part where the author said Aizen can win if he wants to, I don't think it means Hikone is comparable to Aizen, it just means if Aizen doesn't fight to win, he will lose which can be interpreted in many ways as Hikone having so much potential which might boost him and makes him far stronger if Aizen is just playing and not fighting to win, but if Aizen fights to win, he will finish Hikone fast.
Hopefully, no one is going to bring that Retsu scan about Renji being a rival to Zaraki because its stupid as the same scan shows Byakuya and Ichigo as well, but we know Renji doesn't rival Byakuya nor Ichigo, the scan contradicts itself unless it means something else like you have rivals in the way that they also keep getting stronger, not like us the old soul reapers who reached our limits or something like that.
Bear in mind I haven't finished reading through the entirety of the document yet but the first thing I'll address is what is I think is the most problematic; I don't agree with a 1000 x multiplier for "Transcendent" characters.
Isshin, Yoruichi and Gin were all still able to inflict damage upon Transcendent Aizen even if they don't fully scale to him in power for obvious reasons. The gap between them is substantial but not protrayed as being in the realm of "1000x".
Likewise Aizen was capable of inflicting damage on Ichigo despite being unable to sense any power from him throughout their fight. Obviously ichigo is much stronger than Aizen, but Aizen's Fragor still inflicted damage. Ichigo shattering his latest stronger attack doesn't erase the first bit of damage he recieved from happening.
I know you've addressed this in the "Narrative Consistency" section of your document but I'm not personally convinced by it. The quote from the databook seems rather poetic but there's no denying Aizen's body was affected by Isshin's attack, and likewise he was stabbed through by Gin's Bankai.
I don't approve of stacking multipliers in the way you've described for using Ichigo's Hollofication (which I don't think should be a 10x amp anyway) plus Cero Oscuras twice, in order to justify a 1000x multiplier for the Transcendent characters. I'd rather see more direct evidence for the characters themselves than saying "This character can output this level of AP with prep, but they can sense characters under these circumstances, so the characters they can't sense must be a thousand times stronger than their explosion."
It also introduces slippery slopes like "This character wasn't portrayed as being trasncendent to this character, so they must be less than 1000 times stronger than them."
Totally understand if some people disagree with me on that. These are just my initial thoughts; may possibly change as I finish reading through more of the doc later this morning.
Tbh I also find the 1000x multiplier weird, especially because it's not directly stated, I don't usually do things like that, but here on the site I don't know if it's ok or not, but even if it's not I don't think it will affect the scaling that much because they scale above WSK and Senna (talking about transcendent Aizen and Dangai Ichigo/FGT Ichigo), So Im neutral on the 1000x multiplier, from Bleach point of view I don't see something wrong in the way Arc used to reach for that conclusion, but I still think it's weird and can understand why Damage doesn't want to accept it, so Im neutral on this point tbh, Damage mentioned a good point tho:
It also introduces slippery slopes like "This character wasn't portrayed as being trasncendent to this character, so they must be less than 1000 times stronger than them."
Hisagi could feel Hikone’s immense power after his boost (you know adding Iko’s power into his power and removing the Gentei Kaijo), would that mean Hikone is not transcendent to Hisagi? 1st fusion Aizen was transcendent to people who are stronger than that Hisagi, so that would create a problem in the scaling chain.
However, there is one point that I need to respond to:
but there's no denying Aizen's body was affected by Isshin's attack
IIRC the databook says that the shell isn't Aizen's body, it was created from the Hogyoku to cover his body, so Aizen was inside going through the evolution process, and Isshin cut the shell, not Aizen himself, at least this is how I always understood it.
Allow me to address backscaling from the multiplier I proposed. Simply it is not possible to backscale from that multiplier, because it is unquantifiably greater than the largest quantified gap that was able to be sensed. Uryu could sense the gap between himself and Full Hollow Ichigo, therefore the gap between being unable to sense would be larger, albeit unquantifiable. Hence, why I felt safe about applying the multiplier as it can only go in one direction and that is forward rather than backscaling.
As for Aizen being hit with Isshin’s Getsuga, I’ve already provided the scan stating from an omniscient narrator that Aizen did not actually receive any damage. Furthermore, in the colored scans you can clearly see it’s not blood dripping from Aizen, rather some purple goo. Lastly, we know Aizen after achieving further evolutions into transcendence can lower his reiatsu to the point where people can sense him again. Meaning Aizen can nerf himself below the gap/multiplier that takes him so high. Not only do the Bleach Sannin not actually do any damage to Aizen, but even the slightest bits of decent performance against that Aizen don’t work as anti feats as Aizen can massively nerf himself. This is consistent with his “transcendent attitude” as he often times lets his opponents attack him and power up due to his cockiness. He lets Gin stab him because he was curious as to how Gin would betray him, and he also allowed Ichigo to train and grow in power just to enjoy one last battle before conquering the world. To put the nail in the coffin, the second Aizen does exert any effort at all he no diffs the entire Bleach Sannin without breaking a sweat. Quoting Aizen himself, “I no longer have reason to be on guard”.
I’m gonna remain neutral for now, this is A LOT of information to digest
@Arc, one question I do have though, from the scaling chains for Hikone and Kenpachi, does this mean they’re comparable to HoS True Bankai Ichigo and even regular True Bankai Ichigo?
Almost everything is fine, Im just neutral on the multiplier, don't have much info to provide on that topic tho, so Im going to wait and read what both sides have in the pocket
Even a 100 times multiplier is enough to low diff anyone that you were previously on the same level heck even a 10X multiplier, I am also iffy on a 1000 times multiplier
True Bankai Ichigo
This potentially, albeit that’s something I wanted to discuss.
@Arc7Kuroi; there's another potential flaw.
Bankai Ichigo (pre-training in the Dangai) was able to sense Transcendent Aizen's spiritual energy.
Isshin states that only someone in the same state as Aizen can sense his energy. That means I don't think it's as simple as merely being so much more powerful / being as powerful as Aizen would let you sense him.
So I'm still against the 1000x multiplier.
This was due to Zangetsu nerfing Ichigo. Ichigo had that power in him but he wasn’t able to use it because Zangetsu didn’t allow it. Pseudo Bankai Ichigo AP wise is weaker than Isshin and Kisuke who couldn’t sense Aizen. Due to Ichigo’s special case with Zangetsu and how he scales below base Aizen, I don’t think he should be used as a valid contradiction.
Possibly, but that's getting to be too speculative for me personally.
I'm still not convinced.
It's your boy Arc7Kuroi here, featuring my accomplice Cyberblader90, bringing you a ******* meaty ass doc. I'll post the link to the doc and then also post the sections in spoilers here, so y'all doc enjoyers can read the doc as it's meant to be read, and y'all vsbw format "fans" can read it here. Chapter 1: Introduction
1.1 Background
Throughout much of the discussion within the online community, Bleach’s sole planetary scale has been the husk of Reio sustaining one if not all three realms. In this case, the realms are considered each their own planet, and the destruction of the planets is widely accepted to be anywhere from a one to three times baseline planetary (defined by Earth’s GBE). Following that, Bleach Movie 1 became accepted as applicable canon for scaling. During that film a small planetary feat is performed and with enough argumentation was accepted for general scaling of the highest tiers of the verse.
However, it is our belief that the oversaturation of “planetary Reio scaling” has deluded the vast majority of Bleach power scalers that “Reio level” gate keeps the rest of the verse from reaching planetary levels of power, because only Reio can be that level. The hope of this document is to not only dispel that notion, but also bring awareness to the vast and rich planetary range Bleach meta that extends far beyond Thousand Year Blood War characters scaling to Reio.
Lastly, this document will be rather lengthy, albeit there is a purpose to that. The reason this is structured to contain so much content is because the planetary range Bleach meta is not based around a single scale, rather it is a multifaceted web of scaling that all connects and links together to form a powerful argument stronger than the sum of its individual components.
1.2 Memories of Nobody
As alluded to above, in the first film Soul Society and the living world are dragged together by the power of the Blanks and eventually pushed back by an instant release of all the Blanks’ power. The Kyogoku (a dimension made from Blanks) contracts, creating a pulling force that can drag the World of the Living and Soul Society into a collision. Said collision would be so catastrophic that it could destroy up to both realms. This is possible because Blanks are souls without memories, making them pure energy as souls are composed of energy and memory; so, they provide an energy source capable of accomplishing such an impressive feat. Both the Blanks passively dragging the worlds together and Senna actively using the Blanks to push them apart have been calculated to around small planetary.
1.3 Zanka no Tachi
The first case in the manga where an actual character poses a threat to the planet comes when Yamamoto activates his Bankai, Zanka no Tachi. Unohana states that if Yamamoto doesn’t finish the fight soon, his Bankai power will destroy Soul Society. However, Yamamoto doesn’t display much large-scale destruction outside of slowly evaporating all water in Soul Society. This has caused some confusion surrounding the validity of Unohana’s claim, but further reading of Yamamoto’s fight answers this question.
In the past, Zanka no Tachi would erupt with an exploding flame every time Yamamoto attacked. In the present, Zanka no Tachi concentrates all that power into the sharp edge of the Zanpakuto, no longer emitting an explosive flame. Considering the only time Yamamoto unleashed his Bankai prior to the Thousand Year Blood War was in the past against Yhwach for the first time, Unohana has only bared witness to the Zanka no Tachi of the past. Therefore, her claim is based on a version of Yamamoto’s Bankai that did spew out massive, destructive flames, perfectly explaining why she was worried about Yamamoto destroying Soul Society. The key difference between Yamamoto’s Bankai in the now versus a thousand years ago lies with a term coined by the power scaling community, attack potency.
Attack potency describes how much energy an attack scales to, rather than an attack’s destructive capacity which describes how much the attack can destroy. While attack potency violates conservation of energy laws, it’s a common concession made when scaling fictional verses that can’t be expected to follow all physical laws to a perfect degree. To dive into an example of the difference between attack potency and destructive capacity: if a character is stated to contain the power to destroy the universe in a single punch, but their punches only destroy mountains that would amount to universal attack potency; on the other hand, if a character outright destroys the entire universe with a single attack, that would be an example of universal destructive capacity. In that example both characters scale to universal amounts of energy, but both don’t have to inherently destroy the physical universe.
To bring things back to Yamamoto’s Bankai, his past Bankai would be the destructive capacity version of the Bankai (creating massive fiery area of effect attacks), but his current Bankai is the attack potency version (condensing all the original power into just the tip of the blade). Although, we are not claiming Yamamoto doesn’t have an immense area of effect with his present Bankai. Yamamoto clearly has a wide reach as all water on the planet is evaporating, rather this was just to explain that Unohana is basing her statement on a version of Zanka no Tachi that was much more destructive capacity than attack potency based than the one we see in the manga. This is made further impressive when Yamamoto claims that his condensed Bankai is even more powerful than the Bankai he displayed in the past. To top it off, Yamamoto adds more consistency by saying he will burn Soul Society to the ground. The phrase “burn to the ground” meaning “completely destroyed by fire” as confirmed by multiple sources.
We are aware of how semantical we got with Yamamoto’s phrase; however, in the context of his other Bankai statements (completely erasing everything with the power of his reiatsu flames being repeated multiple times) it becomes a rather consistent interpretation. Furthermore, you will come to see shortly in Chapter 3 that Yamamoto has additional scaling above “planet destroying” weapons/feats that make this all the more consistent. The value when calculated comes out to casually moon level.
1.4 Reio
Reio’s scaling and feats are probably the simplest and most easy to grasp as he is the creator god figure of the Bleach verse. While there exists plenty of lore for Reio’s past, we will focus on the husk that acts as the world’s lynchpin as seen in the manga, due to his past self not having any relevant scaling (for planetary scaling) to other characters.
Without Reio’s encapsulated husk, all three realms will be entirely destroyed, and this is echoed by both Ichibe and Yhwach. Yhwach elaborates more on Reio’s scenario by explaining how Reio stabilizes Soul Society, and in turn the rest of the Bleach universe (not all too relevant to the planetary scaling). From this most would agree that the enshrined Reio has planetary scaling ranging from one to three times. However, there exists some confusion and skepticism surrounding the specifics of Reio’s stabilization which lead to questioning of the above interpretation. Funny enough, Senna and the Blanks offer a unique answer to said question.
As seen throughout the Memories of Nobody movie (among the links attached in section 1.2), the planets themselves are surrounded by these black-red shells. These shells are the dimensional barriers or boundaries for the realms, else they would be openly exposed to the chaotic reishi void of Garganta and the other realms themselves. During the movie when Senna creates a massive explosion to push the worlds apart, no visible damage is done to the boundaries. Additionally, Senna is able to perform this feat using only a small portion of the Soul Cycle; we know the amount of Blanks are an insignificant portion because they don’t cause any noticeable perturbations within the balance of souls and multiple pop in and out of existence without cause for worry. This is pertinent due to Reio not only nearly shattering the boundaries Senna couldn’t damage, but also potentially controlling the entire Soul Cycle. While Tokinada’s father withheld the entire truth from Tokinada, this statement is likely connected to the fact that the entire cycle flows through Soul Society that Reio must keep stable (as mentioned in section 1.2 souls have energy).
Point in case, Reio’s husk itself possesses power to passively keep Soul Society from collapsing and far outscales Senna’s own power with the Blanks (which is nearly planetary on its own). Soul Society’s lynchpin is easily at least planetary with even higher avenues of scaling, albeit they aren’t important to the premise of this document.
1.5 Outline
Now that the groundwork has been laid out (where Reio’s corpse scales, the supporting feat through Bleach’s first movie, and the true power of Yamamoto’s Bankai), we are going to outline the path this document will take you through what we believe to be the most consistent and supported tier 5 arguments within Bleach.
First, the topic of transcendence and quantifying it will be tackled and explained. Next, mention of the Sokyoku, its power, and where it falls consistently and inconsistently will be discussed. Finally, the Can’t Fear Your Own World lore and scaling will be expanded upon before wrapping this up in the conclusion. Without further adieu, please entertain us and enjoy the dive through the spiderweb that is tier 5 Bleach.
Chapter 2: Transcendence
2.1 Reiatsu Perception Inability
Throughout all of the beginning half of Bleach, characters are constantly shouting out and gawking at powerful enemies’ power levels. It is not until the introduction of second Hogyoku fusion Aizen that we learn one can become so vastly superior to their peers that their power can no longer be perceived. This amp ends up being the largest amp portrayed throughout the entire series. To quantify such an amp, we will dive into the largest stated amp that was capable of being sensed.
A few things need to be established, Uryu’s scaling and canon stated multipliers. Uryu with an explosion that required preparation time wasn’t able to put down base Szayelaporro. Meanwhile Ichigo with just his Bankai is capable of evenly matching base Grimmjow, Grimmjow being ranked six puts him vastly above Szayelaporro who is only ranked eight. To no one’s surprise, Bankai Ichigo is stronger than Uryu in this arc. Ichigo when hollowfied is able to match base Grimmjow’s Gran Rey Cero. Gran Rey Cero being the ultimate Cero places it above Cero Oscuras, which is a ten times attack potency amp, making Gran Rey Cero and thus Ichigo’s Hollow Mask at least a ten times amp as well. Resurrección Ulquiorra is able to effortlessly put down Hollow Mask Bankai Ichigo, and Uryu can sense that Ulquiorra’s Cero Oscuras. Ulquiorra then enters Segunda Etapa, surpassing anything he’s down prior, and Uryu can still sense that power. Full Hollow Ichigo proceeds to quash Segunda Etapa Ulquiorra’s Cero Oscuras, with Uryu being able to sense Full Hollow Ichigo’s power.
That leaves us with the following scaling chain: Uryu < Bankai Ichigo < Hollow Mask Bankai Ichigo (10x) < Resurrección Ulquiorra’s Cero Oscuras (10x) < Segunda Etapa Ulquiorra’s Cero Oscuras (10x) < Full Hollow Ichigo. This shows us that characters in Bleach can sense power differences that range to superior than a thousand times. All of this culminating in the fact that being unable to sense someone’s reiatsu indicates they are at least 1000 times stronger than you are. We will dive into the consistency of this amp in section 2.4.
2.2 Deicide
Manga only readers may not be aware of how powerful fourth Hogyoku fusion and God Aizen really are. Next to an image of fourth Hogyoku fusion Aizen we are given an incredible fact, that Aizen had become a suitable replacement for Reio and reached Reio’s level. By the time Aizen had achieved his fourth Hogyoku fusion (sometimes referred to as Butterfly Aizen), he had obtained power on par with Reio. Aizen then attains his final Hogyoku fusion and is stated to have surpassed Reio among transcending everything, adding further consistency and concreteness to Aizen reaching heights beyond that of Reio’s husk at the bare minimum.
As many are aware, Ichigo after training in the Dangai and accepting Zangetsu into himself was in a whole separate league of power from Aizen. Immediately after exiting the Dangai, Ichigo was already powerful enough where fourth Hogyoku fusion Aizen was unable to sense his power. Then despite obtaining another evolution, Aizen still could not feel Ichigo’s reiatsu when he unleashed the Final Getsuga Tenshou. At which point Ichigo slew Aizen with Mugetsu, far surpassing everything in the series prior.
Combining everything we’ve concluded so far in this chapter, Final Getsuga Tenshou Ichigo would scale over a thousand times above God Aizen. Placing the likes of fourth and final Hogyoku fusion Aizen at and above planetary, and Ichigo reaching large planetary.
2.3 Scaling
The scaling based on the knowledge provided in this chapter is rather simple: Reio’s husk = fourth Hogyoku fusion Aizen < God Aizen < post-Dangai training Ichigo < Final Getsuga Tenshou Ichigo.
Where Ichigo scales at least a thousand times stronger than Aizen due to Aizen being unable to perceive Ichigo’s reiatsu. Reio and Aizen scaling to or above baseline planetary, and Ichigo scaling decently into large planetary.
2.4 Narrative Consistency
The scaling itself is rather blatantly consistent. Aizen is directly stated to have reached Reio’s level and then even surpassed it with his final form, which fits his goal of being the first to sit atop the throne of the world as he proclaimed to Ukitake after the Soul Society arc. However, what we are sure people are gawking the most at is the multiplier proposed above.
The two instances where this amp may be contradicted reside with Isshin’s Getsuga against second Hogyoku fusion Aizen and God Aizen harming post-Dangai training Ichigo with Fragor. That being said, they are only surface level concerns that are better contextualized as you dive further into the scenes themselves. The third databook, Unmasked, informs us that Aizen was not hurt by Isshin’s Getsuga at all. Furthermore, not only is Aizen not taking the Bleach Sannin seriously in the slightest, the instant he exerts any effort he one shots all three of them. A rather similar case occurs with Ichigo, throughout the entire bout he isn’t taking Aizen seriously at all. We see this as when Ichigo gets serious he effortlessly shatters God Aizen’s strongest attack (Ultra Fragor which is several Fragor fused in one attack), and even states that prior to unleashing the Final Getsuga Tenshou he was merely wasting time. It is made abundantly clear that when a character’s reiatsu can’t be sensed by their opponent, they can easily defeat their opponent in a single blow.
This kind of amp is portrayed to be the absolute pinnacle of power increases within the series at this point, as Aizen uses it to ascend from “normal” Shinigami into a being that surpasses the likes of God. We see characters like Ulquiorra being capable of amping themselves over a hundred times from his base form to his strongest attacks, so for this amp to reach such levels when it is supposed to be the largest displayed yet is very consistent. Lastly, as noted above, Ichigo had far surpassed everything in the series until that point when he unleashed Mugetsu. So, Ichigo scaling so high when he vastly surpassed Aizen, who obtained power beyond reason, is extremely consistent based on showings and statements.
Chapter 3: Sokyoku
3.1 Yield
Sokyoku possesses the power to destroy the entire planet through insane thermal disruption. The spear can generate massive amounts of reiryoku that can overwhelm everything, giving further credence to the manga statement. Ichigo’s “ability” to reasonably scale to this will be discussed in section 3.4, and will be ignored until then.
Based on the information provided about the Sokyoku, it is able to destroy the entire Soul Society by means of a violent explosion. Tackling this with the simplest interpretation would imply that the halberd has planetary attack power. As shown in the above scans, Sokyoku is fueled by a million Zanpakuto, a similar weapon is powered as such. The Kido Cannon in Memories of Nobody is powered by slightly less than 200 Shinigami. This is significant because as we see all throughout Bleach, meaning that the average Zanpakuto would be a relative power source to the average Shinigami. Thus, the insight we gain is that Sokyoku should be a more powerful weapon than the Kido Cannon as it has a vastly larger energy source. This Kido Cannon can not only destroy the Kyogoku, but also the connecting dimension, and even cause damage to both worlds. This destruction would occur over the span of several minutes at most, as the hour time frame given for the collision of the worlds was nearing its end.
Consider the fact that a much weaker weapon than Sokyoku can destroy an entire Kyogoku, its connecting dimension, and deal large damage to Soul Society and the living world within a short time frame. Now couple that with the statement that Sokyoku can destroy the entire planet of Soul Society, and it becomes obvious where this halberd should scale, that being planetary.
3.2 Spirits Are Forever With You
Spirits Are Forever With You (SAFWY) is a story that takes place during the time skip between the end of Aizen’s imprisonment in Muken and the start of the Lost Agent arc. During this story, our hero (Kenpachi Zaraki of all people) fights interesting characters with even more interesting statements. Among the most impressive is his fight with prior Kenpachi, Kenpachi Azashiro.
Azashiro’s Shikai works by taking all the reishi he’s fused with in his Bankai and condensing it into a single, ultra-high power spear. Before his final bout with Zaraki, he forms a reishi spear so dense in reishi that it far exceeds the capabilities of the Sokyoku. Not only does Zaraki go on to defeat Azashiro with this reishi spear, he returns in a good mood despite being wounded by the spear. Kenpachi Zaraki was able to clash and take hits from a weapon that far surpasses the power of the Sokyoku spear.
3.3 Scaling
To summarize who scales in simple terms, those who scale to or above Sokyoku can be described as “Elite Sternritter level” characters. The reason we put it like this is because that caliber of character varies depending on who you ask, and at the cost of not desiring a complex scaling chain we will only include those who obviously scale.
As we alluded to in section 1.3, Yamamoto’s additional scale to tier 5 is through upscaling the Sokyoku. Yamamoto at the start of the Thousand Year Blood War arc is stated to remain the strongest of the Gotei 13, which would include the likes of Kenpachi Zaraki. This is what we meant by “tier 5 Bleach is made strong/consistent when observed in totality”, Yamamoto scaling to tier 5 is made immensely more consistent with multiple avenues of achieving such a scale. Other characters that would scale include the likes of Kenpachi’s opponents: possibly Cien, Yamamoto (as mentioned above), Yhwach (this was possibly Royd Loyd, albeit Yhwach scales above Royd anyhow), Gremmy, possibly Pernida, Gerard, and Hikone, among the other characters who scale to the people Kenpachi fought.
The scaling chain would begin like this: Sokyoku < Azashiro’s Shikai reishi spear ~< post-time skip Kenpachi ~< everyone who scales to or above Kenpachi. Where the Sokyoku itself scales to planetary levels of power.
3.4 Narrative Consistency
There are a few items to address: does Ichigo actually scale and is this backed by the narrative? To be as blunt as possible, we (and we’re sure many others) believe Ichigo’s feats against Sokyoku are outliers. This shouldn’t be all that surprising, Ichigo’s other feats don’t come close to this, and it makes little sense for the series to hype up nigh-end game Kenpachi reaching those levels if Shikai Ichigo did it so long ago. Furthermore, you could also claim that Zangetsu temporarily amped his offense and defense against Sokyoku so Ichigo wouldn’t have his soul entirely vaporized, considering Zangetsu wants to protect Ichigo above all else. So, it’s extremely questionable if Ichigo’s normal statistics would scale to Sokyoku regardless, even if they did it would still very much qualify for an outlier.
Azashiro being capable of surpassing the Sokyoku with his Shikai (after merging all the reishi in Seireitei’s atmosphere) is not far fetched when you discover that he is a threat so great Squad Zero came to stop him. Squad Zero being tasked with protecting the lynchpin of the entire world. Furthermore, Azashiro was a worthy match for a Zaraki that was able to defeat Cien, Cien being equivalent in power to Full Hollow Ichigo (as seen in section 2.1). Now humor us with the mention of Full Hollow Ichigo in this planetary meta document. To preface what is about to be said, we are well aware of the questionable canonicity of the fourth Bleach movie. That being said, we are not promoting an acceptance of Hell Verse as canon, but rather provide an argument diving into the mindset of those who have worked on Bleach for a vast amount of time.
Within the fourth movie, Ichigo’s Full Hollow form destroys multiple layers of Hell, where Hell (as described by Kubo) is a place of multiple worlds. This is later confirmed by the main antagonist and leads to Ichigo and Yamamoto believing Full Hollow Ichigo can destroy the world. While it is impossible to determine how much of the movie Kubo did or did not agree with, we found it worth mentioning, in terms of corporate canon, Full Hollow Ichigo tier characters are very consistently portrayed as threats to the entire planet. However, this is merely a supporting argument showing what the writers of the anime think this caliber of character is capable of, and we recognize that it does not stand alone as its own argument.
Chapter 4: Can’t Fear Your Own World
4.1 Hikone
Hikone is an artificial soul crafted as an amalgamation of all the important races within Bleach. They were created by Tokinada in order to replace the position of Soul King with someone Tokinada could easily manipulate. Throughout the events of Can’t Fear Your Own World (CFYOW), Hikone grows immensely in strength from someone who could barely fend off the three remaining Espada and surviving Sternritter (Grimmjow, Neliel, Halibel, Liltotto, Giselle, and Zombie Bambietta) to someone so powerful they were a match for the strongest of the verse. This section will detail a large variety of scaling Hikone has that puts them as one of the strongest characters in the entire series.
The first argument is that a weaker base Hikone scales to Ikomikidomoe. Ikomikidomoe is the same Hollow that in the past was able to defeat Yamamoto (prior to Yamamoto getting his Zanpakuto). This is quite impressive considering that base Yamamoto is capable of taking the full force of his amplified Shikai flames without falling unconscious, and as mentioned in prior sections, Yamamoto scales above the likes of SAFWY Kenpachi Zaraki. There is a caveat to mention, Ikomikidomoe had his name sealed by Ichibe and is implied to have been weakened by that. However, later Hikone would fuse their and Ikomikidomoe’s power and reach heights greater than the sum of their individual powers prior, and Hikone is even stronger in base by the end of the story than when they claim to be relative to Ikomikidomoe. All this means that they should be in that same realm of power regardless.
The second argument is much more obvious and blatant than the first. The second Hikone activates their Resurreccion, everyone participating at the climactic battle (which include people who have bore witness to the Soul King in one form or another) instinctively knew Hikone possessed all the qualities to become the Soul King. This is a very peculiar statement, being that the same statement was given to Ichigo Kurosaki. As is common knowledge at this point, all the Soul King is is a lynchpin who prevents the collapse of the realms through raw spiritual energy, and both Ichigo and Hikone are brute force fighters. All they have is a large amount of power at their disposal and a reiatsu mix of all the races, and as Tokinada states, someone with the power of the races and the qualities of the Soul King can destroy the world as they please. Hikone’s full power reaching Reio levels of output is not far fetched considering what the narrator and certain characters claim about their power level.
When the narrator is listing off characters who can defeat and/or fight Hikone at their peak power, they make mention that Muken Aizen could only defeat Hikone if he were serious. To put that into a scaling chain would net the following: casual Muken Aizen < Full Power Hikone < serious Muken Aizen ~ Soul King Yhwach ~ True Bankai Ichigo > True Shikai Hollow Ichigo’s strongest attack > True Shikai Hollow Ichigo > True Shikai Ichigo > Final Getsuga Tenshou Ichigo > post-Dangai training Ichigo > God Aizen > fourth Hogyoku fusion Aizen = Reio’s husk ~ planetary. The difference between True Shikai Ichigo and True Bankai Ichigo in terms of attack potency is a hundred times, and as proposed in section 2.1, the difference between Final Getsuga Tenshou Ichigo and God Aizen is a thousand times. This would put the Reio’s corpse’s spiritual power a hundred thousand times beneath a serious Muken Aizen, meanwhile Hikone’s full power is so great it would require Aizen to be serious to win. Muken Aizen needing to get serious to defeat Hikone at their peak would indicate that Hikone is somewhat relative to Muken Aizen, and it is important to understand that you can be relative to someone and still lose to them.
Furthermore, Liltotto makes a statement that adds further consistency to Hikone being above the likes of casual god tiers in the verse. When Hikone is charging up a cero, Liltotto claimed it was an extraordinary amount of reiatsu unlike any she felt before. Liltotto having fought and lost to a casual Soul King Yhwach, should have a decent awareness of Yhwach’s casual power output. This is actually significant, as Yhwach as the new Soul King is passively keeping the planets from entirely annihilating themselves. So again, this can produce two scaling chains, both placing Hikone above Reio’s husk: planetary ~ Reio’s husk ~< casual Soul King Yhwach < base Hikone’s amped Cero < Soul King Yhwach ~ True Bankai Ichigo > True Shikai Hollow Ichigo’s strongest attack > True Shikai Hollow Ichigo > True Shikai Ichigo > Final Getsuga Tenshou Ichigo > post-Dangai training Ichigo > God Aizen > fourth Hogyoku fusion Aizen = Reio’s husk ~ planetary. As said in the previous paragraph, the difference between the god tiers and Reio’s enshrined body is a hundred thousand times. Meanwhile, Hikone is able to surpass said god tiers at their casual power.
At this point, it should be abundantly obvious that Hikone is a “Soul King” level fighter. Not only are they outright stated to possess the qualities of the Soul King, but they also are so powerful that the god tiers would have to take them seriously in a fight to be capable of winning. This shouldn’t come as a surprise, as later in section 4.5 you’ll learn how the entire point of Hikone’s character was to get this strong.
4.2 Kenpachi Zaraki
Kenpachi doesn’t have much new scaling outside of fighting and matching Resurreccion Hikone in his base without his eyepatch. Which is quite impressive in and of itself after what was brought to light above. Additionally, Zaraki finally becomes a Kenpachi fitting of his title, as he is finally the strongest Shinigami as confirmed by the author. However, the most interesting feat comes from when Zaraki fights Ikomikidomoe.
After Hikone’s defeat, Ikomikidomoe can finally burst forth and he consumes fragments of the Reio to break Ichibe’s seal by gaining a vast amount of power. However, this is all for naught as Kenpachi releases Nozarashi and obliterates Ikomikidomoe. This is sneakily impressive thanks to a fight that occurs between Ichibe and Yhwach in the manga. Yhwach steals Yamamoto’s Bankai within his medallion before killing Yamamoto in the first invasion. Then during the second invasion, Ichibe is able to seal Yamamoto’s Bankai and prevent Yhwach from making use of it. Because Ikomikidomoe was able to break free from Ichibe’s seal with raw power, but Yamamoto’s Bankai could be sealed by Ichibe just fine, that would prove that Ikomikidomoe in that instant surpassed Yamamoto’s Bankai. Then Kenpachi one shot that Ikomikidomoe. Zaraki surpassing an opponent who surpassed Zanka no Tachi is quite the impressive feat.
4.3 Ginjo
Ginjo is a very interesting and underrated character within the events of CFYOW. Particularly a statement that has drawn quite the controversy is of interest here, and we shall explain why it’s actually rather consistent. Ginjo’s Getsuga Tenshou rivaled Ichigo’s strongest Getsuga as stated by the narrator. Now let’s break this down.
First thing to draw attention to is Ginjo’s state in this scene. Ginjo when he fires this attack is in his Bankai and it is outright stated that this attack was amplified by the intense emotions he was feeling at the time. Ginjo’s Bankai is a tad bit different from your average Bankai, if you pay close attention to its appearance you’ll notice it is very Hollow-like. This isn’t surprising because Ginjo stole Ichigo’s powers (containing reiatsu from all races), as indicated by the characteristic black eyes and tattoo markings even Ichigo would later adorn in the final arc with his Hollow powers. Ginjo can even fire a Cero (or Cero-like) attack in Bankai. The point here being that Ginjo is receiving Bankai and Hollow amps in this state. Furthermore, we know your emotions and state of mind can enhance your power as stated by Yoruichi, and with how Ichigo’s emotions vastly affect his power level. Ginjo was even stated to be able to possibly combat Hikone had he not been preoccupied. So, we have an emotion amped, Bankai-Hollow form that’s fused with the reiatsu of all races, Soul King candidate who can put up a fight against Resurreccion Hikone, Ginjo’s strongest Getsuga rivaling Ichigo’s strongest Getsuga (as seen in the story this would refer to this attack). Emotion amped Bankai Ginjo being able to reach a fatigued True Bankai Ichigo’s power is not only outright stated, but also backed up by other statements within CFYOW.
4.4 Scaling
There are a few scaling chains introduced within CFYOW, some of which you’ve been introduced to above. We’ll run down a simplified list of the chains. Hikone’s first scaling chain: casual Muken Aizen < Full Power Hikone < serious Muken Aizen ~ Soul King Yhwach ~ True Bankai Ichigo > True Shikai Hollow Ichigo’s strongest attack > True Shikai Hollow Ichigo > True Shikai Ichigo > Final Getsuga Tenshou Ichigo > post-Dangai training Ichigo > God Aizen > fourth Hogyoku fusion Aizen = Reio’s husk. Hikone’s second scaling chain: Reio’s husk ~< casual Soul King Yhwach < base Hikone’s amped Cero < Soul King Yhwach ~ True Bankai Ichigo > True Shikai Hollow Ichigo’s strongest attack > True Shikai Hollow Ichigo > True Shikai Ichigo > Final Getsuga Tenshou Ichigo > post-Dangai training Ichigo > God Aizen > fourth Hogyoku fusion Aizen = Reio’s husk. Kenpachi’s first scaling chain: Full Power Hikone ~ base eyepatchless Zaraki < Shikai Kenpachi < Bankai Kenpachi. Kenpachi’s second scaling chain: Bankai Yamamoto < Reio fragments consumed Ikomikidomoe < Shikai Kenpachi < Bankai Kenpachi. Ginjo’s scaling chain: Full Power Hikone likely ~ Bankai Ginjo < emotion amped Bankai Ginjo ~ fatigued True Bankai Ichigo.
Kenpachi Zaraki and Bankai Ginjo both scale relative to Hikone who far outscales the Reio’s husk. As you are well aware at this point, Reio’s husk scales to planetary levels of power. Additionally, Hikone should downscale only slightly from a serious Muken Aizen, scaling Zaraki, Ginjo, and Hikone into large planetary. Kenpachi adding further support by scaling above Zanka no Tachi.
4.5 Narrative Consistency
The upper echelon of the CFYOW cast posing threats to the entire world is rather consistent. As noted in section 4.1, Hikone’s sole purpose was to usurp the current Soul King (Yhwach’s remaining spiritual energy that was enshrined), where very early in the novels they are stated to possess the potential to become a Yhwach level threat. Hikone’s Zanpakuto being hailed as a world destroying force and a world ending threat all before they even reach the pinnacle of their power. The reason Hikone was sent on several battles throughout the entire story of the novels was to steadily increase their power level until they could become a suitable replacement for the Soul King. With this coming to fruition as Hikone by the third novel had obtained all the qualities of the Soul King, just as Ichigo had before him. Hikone at his maximum power was so strong that it would require the likes of Muken Aizen to fight seriously to win. Hikone’s character arc even revolves around them learning to think for themselves and realize the wrong in Tokinada’s manipulating them into becoming the next Soul King.
Ginjo being able to reach this “Soul King” tier with his strongest form and attacks while amped by emotions is believable as well. He can scrap with the likes of Hikone at their strongest, and even believes that he can contest with the power of Zangetsu. Furthermore, like Hikone and Ichigo, Ginjo is a mixing pot of all the races (Shinigami, Hollow, Quincy, and Fullbringer). Such hybrid characters are consistently far stronger than their peers, as they are genetically similar to the Reio, they are candidates for becoming the Soul King. To top it off, Ginjo is repetitively placed on a pedestal in comparison to his peers in combat. Ginjo possesses no anti-feats throughout the novel and is stated multiple times to be on the same plane of power as the god tiers of the verse.
Finally, it should be no shock to anyone that Kenpachi Zaraki reached this level of power. Not only has he far surpassed the power of the Sokyoku even before the war with the Quincies, he even reached a level of transcendence during the war. Kenpachi is a monster and has always been portrayed as a beast. The fact he is placed on the same stand as Ichigo and Aizen in characters who can defeat Hikone speaks volumes. Similar to the likes of Ginjo and Hikone, whenever he is on the battlefield he is touted as one of if not the strongest there. The battle hungry Zaraki having surpassed all pure Shinigami of and not of his era is truly worthy of his title of Kenpachi.
Stepping back and looking at all the “Soul King” power characters you’ll understand how reasonable it actually is. Kenpachi Zaraki at the height of his power as we’ve seen him in the story and the only character to reach levels of transcendence without being special in some way (no mixed race, no Hogyoku, no son of Reio, etc). Ginjo Kugo, Hikone Ubuginu, and Ichigo Kurosaki all containing the reiatsu of Shinigami, Hollow, Quincy, and Fullbringer, all Soul King candidates. Sosuke Aizen having stepped far beyond the realm of god after fusing with the Hogyoku and evolving over and over again. Yhwach, the son of Reio or power stripped directly from Reio, the current Soul King of the Bleach universe. All these characters are connected to the Reio directly or through their genetic makeup, and/or have reached levels of transcendence, these characters represent the absolute heights of combat power in Bleach.
Chapter 5: Conclusion
5.1 Summary
Now that you’ve finished and took the time to appreciate and digest the information presented in this document, we hope you’ve gained a new appreciation for the magnitude of power Bleach top tiers possess. We want to run through the key takeaways briefly before proposing the scaling in totality, starting with chapter 1.
In chapter 1, we discuss primarily well accepted and recognized feats such as Senna's “diet Reio” feat of moving realms with a small fraction of the Soul Cycle, and Reio himself. Then we brought up Yamamoto’s Bankai and how it can casually eviscerate the entire Soul Society by merely existing, quantified to casual moon level power. In chapter 2, we finally put a number on the gap between transcendent beings (those who cannot be sensed) and “regular” beings, with that amp reaching at least a thousand times in raw power. Then we touched up on the specifics of Aizen’s scaling to Reio. In chapter 3, the immense power of the Sokyoku and who truly scales to it was revealed, featuring new information from SAFWY. Finally in chapter 4, we detail the scarily overpowered characters that come with CFYOW and put a wrap on who can actually be considered a “god tier” within the verse.
Thank you all who went through and gave this document your time. We understand it is rather large at well over 6000 words, but as said at the start, we truly believe that all these arguments mesh well together to provide a scaling meta stronger than if the arguments presented individually. Without further adieu, let’s get into the final scaling.
5.2 Final Scaling
The scaling is going to be broken down into two sections: top tiers (they get their tier 5 scaling through Sokyoku and their own feats), and god tiers (they are the transcendent, Reio tier characters). One last thing to preface, the top tier scaling will require the most discussion as that is where the most questionability comes in terms of who scales to who, whereas the god tier scaling is rather simple.
For top tiers, the baseline will be scaling to the Sokyoku at planetary (2.487x1032 joules).
Scaling chain 1:
2.487x1032 joules = Sokyoku < Azashiro’s Shikai ~ SAFWY Kenpachi Zaraki ~ Full Power Cien ~ half shihakusho Full Hollow Ichigo < full shihakusho Full Hollow Ichigo = 4.974x1032 joules.
Now the first thing to discuss is if Segunda Etapa Ulquiorra should downscale in some way from half shihakusho Full Hollow Ichigo with his strongest attacks, considering Ulquiorra could protect himself from Ichigo’s Cero with his Cero Oscuras and Ichigo needed to amp his claws to crush Ulquiorra’s Lanza. Personally, scaling Segunda Etapa Ulquiorra’s strongest attacks to small planetary (and then his normal attacks would be 10x less) seems fine.
Scaling chain 2:
2.487x1032 joules = Sokyoku < Azashiro’s Shikai ~ SAFWY Kenpachi Zaraki ~< post-timeskip Kenpachi Zaraki < possibly Royd Loyd disguised as Yhwach < Bankai Yamamoto.
One thing to mention here, if we accept Royd Loyd as scaling or even possibly scaling, then all the Elite Sternritter (Askin, Pernida, Lille, and Gerard) would automatically scale above. This is because Liltotto states that among the Sternritter, the Elite were unparalleled among the rest, and the only exception would be Gremmy. Gremmy is excluded because he is verbatim stated to be the strongest Sternritter prior to Yhwach redistributing power with the Auswahlen. Personally, if Royd has any scaling above Zaraki, the Auswahlen amped Elite Sternritter should without a doubt scale above. This topic is fairly important, because it would scale to Shunsui, who scales to Tokinada, Yoruichi, and Byakuya in CFYOW to name a few.
Scaling chain 3:
2.487x1032 joules = Sokyoku < Azashiro’s Shikai ~ SAFWY Kenpachi Zaraki ~< post-timeskip Kenpachi Zaraki < Unohana < post-Unohana Kenpachi Zaraki ~ Gremmy < Shikai Kenpachi ~ 7 Gremmy = 1.7409x1033 joules < base Yhwach < Ichibe < Almighty Yhwach.
The only thing to discuss here is if Fullbring Bankai Ichigo should downscale from base Yhwach. Considering that Ichigo forced Yhwach to get serious and even burned Yhwach’s arm. The only people who would scale to that Ichigo are Bankai Ginjo, possibly Jugram (since we don’t know if he used the Balance or not, but considering how hax works in Bleach this may not be an issue), and Uryu scales somewhat to Jugram.
Scaling chain 4:
2.487x1032 joules = Sokyoku < Azashiro’s Shikai ~ SAFWY Kenpachi Zaraki ~< post-timeskip Kenpachi Zaraki < Unohana < post-Unohana Kenpachi Zaraki ~ Gremmy < Shikai Kenpachi ~ 7 Gremmy = 1.7409x1033 joules < Bankai Yamamoto.
Scaling chain 5:
2.487x1032 joules = Sokyoku < Azashiro’s Shikai ~ SAFWY Kenpachi Zaraki ~< post-timeskip Kenpachi Zaraki < Unohana < base Aizen ~ Kisuke ~ Isshin ~< Shikai Yamamoto.
To return to Fullbring Bankai Ichigo, I think decent discussion is warranted for scaling Fullbring Bankai above Shikai Yamamoto. Reason being, Yhwach one shot and killed Yamamoto when Yamamoto could tank his preparation Shikai flames without even passing out, but Ichigo was able to block attacks from Yhwach and even burn Yhwach’s arm. Furthermore, a similar case exists with Striped Mask Bankai Ichigo and Aizen. Considering Ichigo could harm Aizen, albeit Aizen was off guard, if Ichigo does scale it should be a downscale.
Scaling chain 6:
2.487x1032 joules = Sokyoku < Azashiro’s Shikai ~ SAFWY Kenpachi Zaraki ~< post-timeskip Kenpachi Zaraki < Unohana < base Aizen ~ Kisuke < Bankai Kisuke >~ poisoned Bankai Kisuke ~ Vollstandig Askin.
Scaling chain 7:
2.487x1032 joules = Sokyoku < Azashiro’s Shikai ~ SAFWY Kenpachi Zaraki ~< post-timeskip Kenpachi Zaraki < Unohana < post-Unohana Kenpachi Zaraki ~ Gremmy < Shikai Kenpachi ~ 7 Gremmy = 1.7409x1033 joules < Giant Gerard < Bankai Kenpachi.
Mayuri implies that towards the end of his final fight that Pernida could be approaching base post-Gremmy Kenpachi level. So, if we accept that Pernida gets relative to that Kenpachi, Mayuri, and soul shaving Nemu would scale relative to that Kenpachi as well.
Scaling chain 8:
2.487x1032 joules = Sokyoku < Azashiro’s Shikai ~ SAFWY Kenpachi Zaraki ~< post-timeskip Kenpachi Zaraki < Unohana < post-Unohana Kenpachi Zaraki ~ Gremmy < Shikai Kenpachi ~ 7 Gremmy = 1.7409x1033 joules < Giant Gerard < initial Vollstandig Gerard ~ Mature Bankai Toshiro ~ Post-Royal Guard training Byakuya’s Ikka Senjika < second Vollstandig Gerard.
That about wraps it up for all the top tier scaling, they are practically split up between 1032 to 1033 joules in terms of attack potency. Now to tackle the comparatively less complicated god tier scaling.
For the god tiers, the baseline will start above the highest top tiers, specifically the likes of Bankai Yamamoto and Ichibe. Reason being, Yamamoto’s Bankai power and Squad Zero power are seemingly common knowledge, and Aizen is stated by the narrator to have surpassed that.
Scaling chain 1:
1.7409x1033 joules = Bankai Yamamoto < fourth Hogyoku fusion Aizen < God Aizen < post-Dangai training Ichigo = 1.7409x1036 joules < Final Getsuga Tenshou Ichigo < True Shikai Ichigo < True Shikai Hollow Ichigo = 1.7409x1037 joules < True Shikai Hollow Ichigo’s Gran Rey Cero Getsuga Tenshou = 1.7409x1038 joules < True Bankai Ichigo < True Bankai Hollow Ichigo = 1.7409x1039 joules < True Bankai Hollow Ichigo’s Gran Rey Cero Getsuga Tenshou = 1.7409x1040 joules.
Scaling chain 2:
1.7409x1033 joules = Bankai Yamamoto < fourth Hogyoku fusion Aizen < God Aizen < post-Dangai training Ichigo = 1.7409x1036 joules < Final Getsuga Tenshou Ichigo < True Shikai Ichigo < True Shikai Hollow Ichigo = 1.7409x1037 joules < True Shikai Hollow Ichigo’s Gran Rey Cero Getsuga Tenshou = 1.7409x1038 joules < True Bankai Ichigo ~ Soul King Yhwach ~ serious Muken Aizen > Full Power Hikone ~ base CFYOW Kenpachi > casual Muken Aizen.
Scaling chain 3:
1.7409x1033 joules = Bankai Yamamoto < fourth Hogyoku fusion Aizen < God Aizen < post-Dangai training Ichigo = 1.7409x1036 joules < Final Getsuga Tenshou Ichigo < True Shikai Ichigo < True Shikai Hollow Ichigo = 1.7409x1037 joules < True Shikai Hollow Ichigo’s Gran Rey Cero Getsuga Tenshou = 1.7409x1038 joules < True Bankai Ichigo ~ Soul King Yhwach > Hikone’s amped Cero ~ base CFYOW Kenpachi ~ Full Power Hikone > casual Soul King Yhwach > Reio’s husk.
For scaling chains 2 and 3 the big discussion is how far should peak Hikone downscale from the well known god tiers. As far as an absolute minimum for Full Power Hikone, he should scale above Byakuya’s strongest attack, since Byakuya isn’t stated capable of even fighting Hikone. Keep in mind the author did include which characters could contend Hikone with preparation (Mayuri and Kisuke), which would put Hikone above any other character with preparation that wasn’t mentioned (Byakuya). Personally, because Aizen needs to get serious to defeat Hikone, that seems to imply some relativity between Aizen and Hikone. So, a downscale to baseline of Aizen’s tier or the absolute top of the tier right below Aizen seems quite reasonable. Also, it should be noted Shikai CFYOW Kenpachi would scale 7x above his base, we just won’t bother including it until Hikone’s scaling value gets ironed out.
Scaling chain 4:
1.7409x1033 joules = Bankai Yamamoto < fourth Hogyoku fusion Aizen < God Aizen < post-Dangai training Ichigo = 1.7409x1036 joules < Final Getsuga Tenshou Ichigo < True Shikai Ichigo ~< Almighty Yhwach.
As we said, the god tier scaling is much simpler and concluded. They really have two sections of “god tier” there’s the Deicide level god tiers and then the TYBW/CFYOW level god tiers. Thank you again for indulging in this document, we hope you enjoyed it!
I completely agree with the proposed upgrades for hogyoku aizen, dangai ichigo, kenpachi, res hikone, bankai ginjo and the Azashiro stuff.
I'm neutral on the multiplier stuff
I've seen multiplier stacking being suggested based on powerscaling. But multiplier stacking based on sensing someone is very iffy especially when you are suggesting two 1000x multipliers. Damage brings up a good point about them being able to harm Aizen somewhat and same for Ichigo, which they shouldn't even be able to considering they weren't even able to sense him. For comparison, Zaraki was not 1000x stronger than Ichigo when they first met and even then Ichigo wasn't able to cut Zaraki even when he was able to sense.
Moreover, Ichigo being able to sense Aizen when he was weak (this is relevant because the thread is based on the assumption that weaker opponents can't sense a 1000x stronger opponent, which means it has to do with the level of power) and Isshin saying it has more to do with "state", not power level, suggest that there is something more important at play than just a power level difference.
I'd have objections with a 1000x multiplier even if it came from valid powerscaling (you'd know if you see me in a DB thread) but when it is based on power sensing, it is even more objectionable. So I disagree with that.
That's the thing I was called in to give my opinion on. I'll take my leave to go do other things now and leave you guys for the rest of the stuff.
Tbh I also find the 1000x multiplier weird, especially because it's not directly stated, I don't usually do things like that, but here on the site I don't know if it's ok or not, but even if it's not I don't think it will affect the scaling that much because they scale above WSK and Senna (talking about transcendent Aizen and Dangai Ichigo/FGT Ichigo), So Im neutral on the 1000x multiplier, from Bleach point of view I don't see something wrong in the way Arc used to reach for that conclusion, but I still think it's weird and can understand why Damage doesn't want to accept it, so Im neutral on this point tbh, Damage mentioned a good point tho:
Hisagi could feel Hikone’s immense power after his boost (you know adding Iko’s power into his power and removing the Gentei Kaijo), would that mean Hikone is not transcendent to Hisagi? 1st fusion Aizen was transcendent to people who are stronger than that Hisagi, so that would create a problem in the scaling chain.
However, there is one point that I need to respond to:
IIRC the databook says that the shell isn't Aizen's body, it was created from the Hogyoku to cover his body, so Aizen was inside going through the evolution process, and Isshin cut the shell, not Aizen himself, at least this is how I always understood it.
Do you have that scan?
This is what unmasked has to say about sensing transcendent energy. Not sure accurate the translation is, is it good? @Arc7Kuroi
The shell
第2の融合
The Second Fusion
浦原が放つ鬼道の攻撃を物ともせず、「崩玉」 の大いなる力は藍染を包み込み、全身を覆った。それは繭に包 まれた蛹の姿に似て―。
In spite of attacks Urahara fires Kido, Hogyoku's large power wraps up Aizen covering the whole body. It wrapped him in a cocoon which looks like a chrysalis.
later when he reaches the 3rd fusion is says:
第3の融合
The Third Fusion
頭部を覆っていた外殻が崩れ、再び出現した藍染の顔。そこは黒目と白目が反転した特異な瞳があった。更なる 高みへの到達を実感し、理の果てへ進む。
Head covering shell collapses and reveals Aizen's face once again. His eye colors are unique and reversed. Having a feeling that he has reached even higher, Aizen goes towards reason's horizon.
I will upload scans later if you want, rn Im on the phone and don't have the databook with me.
Edit: I added the scans
