Ampharos (Pokémon, Composite) VS. Garnet (Steven Universe)

It is if he can Mega evolve, because Garnet can't hurt him then. The votes for Garnet were under the pretense that Mega was not a factor in this fight.

Anyway it's still 3-0 for Garnet rn.
 
I never said that Mega was taken away, but Garnet still has 3 votes. Being in different tiers don't mean a stomp, since Garnet is clearly still taking this according to the votes.
 
Its not that theyre in different tiers its that Mega pokemon canonically AP stomp pokemon that are stronger than Garnet
 
But is there anything that SPECIFICALLY Mega Ampharos can do that Garnet can't handle in Mega form, but can in base? He would still have all the same moves, just slightly boosted power and stronger dragon moves.
 
Yes, but WHY couldn't Garnet hurt him?

Ampharos gets slower when it Megas in exchange for more defense and attack power. It also gains a Dragon typing. Other than that it's just Ampharos with long, luxurious, flowing hair.

Didn't we also establish that Ampharos would have trouble harming Garnet if he could at all?
 
Because in Mega form his durability increases beyond what Garnet's AP is. Garnet's AP is Mountain Level+, Mega Ampharos's Durability is Large Mountain Level, meaning his durability would be beyond the damage Garnet can put out, so she can't hurt him.

Also no he doesn't get slower, it says on his profile that he's "Faster than before"
 
Well you can make a Content Revision Thread about that if you want to get the rating changed, for now we have to go by what's on his profile. Though that sounds like it could just be Game Mechanics more than anything.
 
I'll have to look into that.

At first I thought game mechanics too, but that would mean that he wouldn't get a defense or attack boost either, meaning that it's just Dragon Ampharos with hair and purely cosmetic.
