Which gets deflected by a sound blast

Looking through your argument youre right that hibari is a superior h2h combatant but it doesnt matter that he is as Nonon never engages in h2h and exclusively range spams

Anyway, I believe that's 3 for Nonon and 1 for Hibari

(Me, Fate, Weekly) vs (Yung)

@Weekly So..

She's gonna deflect dozens of Rolls (At least), all with at least comparable stregnth to herself, while keeping track of Hibari (Who has better detection abilities) and making sure to stay out of range of handcuffs...?

All the while, Hibari has an ability which one-shots her on contact.

Hibari could also probably ride on top of Roll like other box weapon users, he's just never needed to.

Yes, her sound waves were enough to send Ryuko and Nui flying and people comparable to herself can deflect dozens of missiles comparable to themselves

She doesn't need to deflect them, they don't home

She can just sidestep it in the air

Okay...Here's a better question, how will Nonon break through Hibari's defenses? Will she just spam until the spheres break? Then Hibari could just create more and it'll become a battle of stamina.

Pretty much yes, and her powers dont rely on stamina so she can just keep pummeling him with sound waves until he exhausts himself

What Weekly said. She doesn't ever show to exert herself when using attacks to my knowledge

Her powers don't rely on stamina? They have to have some kind of MP bar unless it was stated that they don't.

Hibari can fight for like..an entire day straight.

I believe he did yes but he was exerting himself a lot and using a lot of energy at once from what I understood. A lot of unnecessary energy with not dealing a killing blow

@Dragon the second time he fought Ryuko? That was literally her reveal, i can make a gif of it if youd like

Correction: Hibari can fight for a day straight, or keep fighting with his brain half fried from illusions + neural poison + more frying + battered enough that when Mukuro (who is no slouch in fighting under horrible physical conditions) possessed and tried to use his unconscious body he instantly fell down and dismissed the idea as he couldn't believe Hibari (or anyone for that matter) could possibly keep fighting in that condition.

@Weekly not really

First time, Ryuko one by blinding him

Second time, he exhausted himself after defeating her

Third time Nui Appeared

^ the second time is what I am referring to @Weekly

@Schnee The first time they fought Ryuko blinded him, the second time they fought Nui won, there was nothing in between

So Mukuro ended up being too hax for this? That sucks. I feel like Gokudera, Yamamoto, or Tsuna all would have been better choices for this kind of event than Hibari. Personally I would have gone with Yamamoto. Did you all allow YungMazi the chance to change? Or was it randomly decided from some other 7-A in the verse?

Regardless, I don't really see a reason why Hibari can't do a reverse needle sphere thing and just kinda wreck Nonon in CQC.

There's also the fact that all of her AoE comes from her explosions iirc, which Hibari can absorb. Her sound waves can be blocked by Roll pretty consistently. And roll will limit her airspace much more than what people are thinking. Roll has been used against those with flight multiple times before and he can essentially force her to not be able to far without being impaled. Not to mention that when they hedgehogs die, they actually leave behind platforms, and if one dies too close to Nonon, it would blow up in her face, and potentially knock her out of the sky.

Hibari can also jump pretty high. It doesn't compare to flight. But when limiting the space and pairing that with the ability to jump a dozen plus meters into the air, it does give him a threat. A particular since his handcuffs are an essential one shot.

Like, I don't see how range spam is somehow superior to illusion spam that has a wider AoE. He can see them coming, sense them coming, and spot them with his radar. There's not really a real reason he should be hit. And he can further amp himself with his flames. And, once again, his hedgehogs can block for him.

If all Nonon is going to do is range spam, it seems far more likely that Hibari can use his hedgehogs to corner her, as dodging should honestly be pretty simple for him. And he can absorb the energy from the explosions. She's going to have a rather difficult time landing a single solid hit in. Whereas the moment she's within Hibari's space because of his hedgehogs, she's in danger.

First time they thought Ryukuo blinded him, then there was the reveal of his new uniform.

he was begging for another chance and this was when he sewed his eyes shut. It's how they revealed his new powers.

Oh, and on the deflection piece. If they get deflected, Hibari can just send them back. Deflection seems to buy her time and take away from her ability to attack Hibari. She can't focus on just Hibari else the hedgehogs will get her. If she focuses only on the hogs, Hibari will likely get her eventually, since he should be able to ride on top of roll iirc.

@Fate

I was more so talking about future arc adult Hibari (When this Hibari scales above). But..you're right about that.

@Weekly

Is there any evidence to suggest that Nonon can keep spamming for that amount of time?

@Yung Yes, all of the Elite Four are capable of fighting for hours without resting
Yet Hibari can fight for a day from what it looks like.

@Dragoo Yes so can the elite four, its the entire premise of the Tri-City Schools Raid Trip

You're right. Gamma tried to fly out of Hibari's range without paying attention and took a spike to the back.

Also, I orginally noinated either Hibari or Mukuro.

@Litentric He cant because 1. he doesnt lead with it 2. Becuase Nonon can fly away from it and 3. Because if he traps her in it she just keeps smacking him with sound attacks until he ends up impaled of they both die of oxygen deprivation.

Only like two of her AoE attacks are explosions, the rest of her massive arsenal is sound waves not explosions. She'd bat away any ranged attacks he throws at her long before he gets a chance to properly position them.

Nonon would avoid, block, or outright destroy the Hedgehogs long before they reach her. She doesnt have explosions for the majority of her attacks. The entire point of Danmaku is that its immensely difficult to dodge you know...
