1000 ri, Idiom or Literal?

One Piece and Bleach both have 1000 ri statements

Ichibei crossing "1000 ri" in seconds, Wano Arrows being able to cross "1000 ri" and even Viola seeing "1000 ri" away

1000 ri is 4000km

The issue? 1000 ri is an idiom like "a million miles"


So what do you think about using these statements?

I think the One Piece one is used in calcs
