  • I have many responsibilities on this site, and this means I only wear each hat for as long as is necessary. Therefore, you may leave CRT/calc eval/whatever requests, and I will try to get to it, but understand that my time is limited and I'm normally already tapped for some wiki policy matter or maintaining the wiki management threads or handling account issues for users who never seem to get things right. Low priority requests include tiershit, particularly active verses, and discussions with a lot of active staff voices already present. I'm not saying "no" but I probably won't get to them. If I don't reply, smart money says it won't be me to get to it. Sorry.

    It's not the verse. I've tried to work with Arch in the past and it led to a frustrating exchange spanning a couple months where communication proved mostly fruitless. Changes would be suggested, changes would be made but not the ones that were suggested, I would redo the work and then more changes would be sought out... it all was very frustrating indeed.

    I have a question in regards to this thread.
    Is a "controversial verse" and a "controversial crt" for a verse that isn't on the list of "controversial verses" different?

    Would a controversial crt (tier 1, or some OP ability [Acausality, Non duality, NEP, Etc] be separate things here? Would these still require 3+ staff votes even though the verse itself isn't labeled as "controversial?"

    Im assuming they are but just asking for clarity.

    Tier 1 stuff inherently requires stricter evaluation, it's a separate issue. Controversial CRTs for verses not receiving this tag would require the normal amount of support, barring a situation where staff members voted for and against, this requiring a majority in favor of one end over the other.

    Here is the feat in question. The characters uses magical energy to create water, so is E=mc^2 method valid in this case? Just to be sure. But like you said, I'd calc the GPE and KE of the wave to be on the safer side. Thank you.

    I can understand the math (to some degree, at least enough to blindly copy it in the right order). Main thing I don't know is how to actually do the pixel measurements.

    Since I already have those for the calc, it's already been redone using the original's pixels.

    Well you'd need a program for it. I use GIMP. You would choose the paint tool, pick one end of the line you'd like to measure, and then hold SHIFT as you designate where you want your next line to be. Before placing it, you'll note at the very bottom, roughly left side of the program, it will list out how long the proposed line is in pixels.

    So for pixel scaling, you would take an image where you know the size of one thing and don't know the size of another thing that is next to that first thing. If you use the above method and find that a character's head is 83 pixels, you know that the average human head is about 23 cm tall. So 23 / 83 = ~0.277 cm/px. You can now measure that thing next to their head (let's imagine it's a crater in the wall) and measure its pixels with the method above, and find that it is 217 pixels wide. So 217 * 0.277 = 60.109 cm diameter. It can be written in other ways, of course (I tend to write it out as one fluid equation, 23 / 83 * 217) but you get the idea.

    Those who scale from the cast in Sonic Riders should be Low 2-C based off of being comparable to NiGHTS. NiGHTS into Dreams is already accepted as sharing a canon with the Main Continuity so there shouldn't be anything stopping from cross-scaling.

    The CRT is simple, and the CRT itself is just an in-between change, to have a FNAF something going on while I prepare my much larger one. So it's by no means anything that needs to be done now, so take your time.

    (My wording sucks, what I am trying to say is that the CRT is pretty much irrelevant and it is no difference to me, if it's done today or in some weeks.)

    Right now we assume that time is by default infinite (hence why a space-time continuum of universal size is Low 2-C) but what if a verse state verbatim that space and time can't be infinite? Does it mean it would only be 3-A at best, even if it contains stuff like parallel worlds? Or would we just...bypass the statement?
