Steampunk ~What a Beautiful Discussion Thread~ The New Era

And the fact that Lily is so oblivious to her own power, what would a fully aware Lily look like.

Imagine Lily can just use A.Z.Z.T power on command.

No wonder The Society and various secret organizations want her.

One other thing speaking of Lily, Edison was so confident even knowing Lily was using A.Z.Z.T power, he stood there and let her shoot him, I don't think those bullets had like Immeasurable speed, so Edison should have a weakness added on his profile for being arrogant and overconfident.
 
Ok now I think I should be done with all these Sona-Nyl calcs.

Now I just need them evaluated, and then I can start posting Sona-Nyl profiles. With so many profiles in the sandbox it's getting chaotic, so not touching it anymore, any changes or whatever will be done when I am actually posting the profiles.
 
I feel like you've done quite enough for the series after this xD

There's not much else after this except for more short story content lol.

That and if/when Mangagamer gets more green lights for the remainder of Steampunk.

If Gahkthun localization to Sona Nyl announcement is anything to go by, we still got some months to see if they'll pull off another Steampunk title to keep it going lol.

I wouldn't mind that even. The very earliest entry of the Steampunk Series.

Tbh, MG doesn't have that a lot lot ish to work with after Sona Nyl. They got Valusia, Tyrhia, and Celenaria. Inganock and Sharnoth is technically there, but there's already an ENG patch for it and I'm sure they're likely aware of them existing so even taking those two out, they got three more VN's to dish out.

I think it's a toss up between those three others at this point. It's just hard to say when they'll make another VN announcement. Could be in May, around Summer time, or late as August like Sona Nyl was? Or Sona Nyl was in July back then...

We'll just have to see.

Also, I should note this since I've been brain rotting over here with JP text stuff.

I actually updated the text for Sharnoth's Doujinshi short stories.

Surprisingly, the CN version I did was pretty spot on ish with OG JP (although I will admit it was s*** only cuz I don't do CN) but it's pretty much the same. Well, aside from the fact I botched up quite a bit on certain lines, one of them was the usage of "Pitch Black" being what the CN ver is read as while JP is Jet Black? Though thing is, the doujin I got that have certain pages in English words actually translate "Shikkoku no Sharnoth" as "Sharnoth of Pitch Black".

IDK, it's kinda this and that for me. I've been so used to reading out Shikkoku as "Jet Black" that even seeing it in the actual doujin in JP is kinda weird to me. Tbf, it's probably fitting given that jet black is like the darkest shade of the color black you can get. Or at least one of the darkest. Although Pitch black is another expression for having a really dark shade of the color. Eh, don't matter to me either way.

Now, onto actually getting my brainrot to doing the magazines owo.

Ok, so immunity was a bust, only real immunity is life, soul and time. Thus only Lemure, and Gii would have like "layered" immunity hax or whatever you want to call that.

However with the layers accepted, we can finally actually put the cast in vs matches. I guess that's one way to pass the time waiting on these calcs to be evaluated.
 
Noice. I actually had a kind of match up in mind for Tesla for a while but figured since his resistances are layered ish too or something, I have to wait lol.

Saw Berta in a dress, wonder what's up with that too, she or should I say he? Thinks of himself as a man. Gets a bit confusing with Berta.

I don't remember that. All I know is that Dagon, an Old One under Cthulhu had this feat:

That Dagon feat looks High 6-A probably.

Not gonna getting a debate about what Berta identifies as, but anyway she is pretty close to Walther, was wondering if it ever became romantic in Shining Nights. Gahkthun had some loose ends, like having Izumi finally confessing her heritage, also wanted more Neon x Tesla.

Speaking of that, I remember something about Neon and Tesla getting married years ago, some sort of event? Wonder if any material came from that, side stories, art etc.

@Celestial_Pegasus Aye, in Ulthar Thoughts, there's a line that says that Cthulhu would wipe out Kadath's surface if it were ever pissed off.

Water God

Also known as Cthulhu. A powerful divinity said to have descended down into the most beautiful divine body (Shintai), reigning as the divine body of the people who dwell in the Abyssal Sea (Country). He has eight high-ranking Demons under his dominion that serve as his follower such as Dagon and Hydra, and has given them man-made machine bodies.

Like the other Gods, it was said they had assistance from the Gray Country in creating their divine body.

The Abyssal Country has made peace with the Gray Country.

They are called the "Merciful God" as their deep love applies not only to the people worshipping him, but also those on the surface and cat people.

It's said that if the Water God were to tremble in fury, all of Kadath's surface would be shattered.

There's other entries on the other Shintai that had a few more being said to be the mightiest among the Shintai, but Cthulhu should be in the upper tiers of them with what little info is there.

And for reference sake, Kadath is a big planet who we don't have a lot of info on its full size, but we have tad bits of it like Valusia blog glossary on Steampunk setting says that the "Unknown World" of Kadath (the part where there's still a blue sky and sea being clean...I think. The sky is clearly blue for them there) has 4 times the area of Seikyo's (Earth), and Inganock's glossary even points out that the continent where said city setting is on is larger than the America's alone so they're a big planet for sure.
 
From the CG's I saw off an H-site (OWO), it's actually from some golden ornaments on its belt that shoots out some beams of light or smth that does that. I think Mycroft can confirm that when they get back on here.

Also, yeah the thing that seemingly did Tesla in was some spear that's supposed to kill Old Ones and stuff like that, yet Tesla got res'd cuz of Neon and the 100k students of Gahkthun's help owo.

Yeah, somehow the concept and phenomena shattering hands do less damage than the spear lol.
 
If we get some scans and translate them, maybe we could add some of this to the profiles, idk about a full on Wrath King profile though.
 
Lily uses Cracking to come back after being erased, despite already being nonexistent. Edison is amused but thinks it's meaningless, then threatens to erase Lily a second time

High-Godly regen negation?
 
Yea, it's still broken though.

It's like layers of void manipulation; erasing things which don't exist, then somehow erasing them even harder after they regenerate from that, like what?

Also need to add type 2 info erasure/manipulation to messengers, nothingness in WAB is not only a lack of physical stuff, but also lack of the data/information fundamental to your existence. Messengers destroy things metaphysically, and as we see with the 6th, NY residents were absorbed into the Cracking Effect itself, and it's Cracking which is the power that shape the Underground. Can basically say being destroyed metaphysically is why the residents are now non-existent.

Some concept art from one of the Gahkthun doujin's I got.

Apparently GK ALSO had a humanoid form of sorts for the setting, but for whatever reason, we never got to see it, only the rosy mask we got. TBF, it's not like Golden King is really that limited to either form. He has a humanoid like form described in one of the Sona Nyl magazines I got, he took control of an Engine Human mentioned in Gahkthun lore, also has a human form of sorts in Celaphis worldline and can assume so for Karashrer since he also exists there (or a variant at least), and whatever this mech thing he has that he took up control with in one short story Sakurai wrote of him and Leo fighting off the bay of France or smth...

Also, interesting how the bell just unwraps itself like that. Guessing that's part of the scene when Neon was being sacrificed to the Bell?
 
Yea, looks like when Neon was being sacrificed.

The Bell absorbs the life/spirit of Golden Eye Users, so GK can assume his Ultharathotep form. Didn't bring it up in the Gahkthun CRT's cause the GK we see has already matured, so doesn't really absorb stuff anymore.

Yeah, I'm not good with posting updates on here like that. Been sick the whole week and stuff. Allergy season lol

Anyways, yeah that's from one magazine that had some Liarsoft stuff like Sakurai and Haganeya crossover interview and whatnot.

Yeah, the white light also has an inevitable hit curse but it's a bit weaker than WK's arm.

The spear pierced the core of illusion, which was power of the Thunderbird itself. It caused a fatal wound, even worse than being crushed by Grotesque Demonic Hand, so Tesla lost his power (Electricity) and could not regenerate.

Makes sense. In addition, Edison should have High-Godly regeneration, this will also give Lily have HGR negation.

And oof. That still makes me think that we gotta look into illusions and metaphysical beings in the verse a bit more, especially on where Tesla technically stands as he's the only guy GK (in Ultrathotep) and WK have used these things on.

So Cthulhu's salt beam are pretty much light speed attack speed I imagine and has a sure hit curse that the arms also have. But both are better than one thing over the other, which the arms are in being able to land hits while the salt beam has higher attack power and AoE. This is of course not really getting into what each can do (phenomena and concept shattering vs salt transmutation).

By the sounds of that, it means Tesla couldn't avoid the hands but surely can against Cthulhu's light beams just cuz of the sure hit curse of the latter being not quite as absolute as the arms are.
