Ok, lets think about the future of DB.
The worst case is that Zaslav is a petty asshole that wont sell DB/wont let it continue. Both of these will result to need of spiritual continuation and cancelation of their current work.
But unless the game of telephone is wrong, apparently they are looking to sell RT IPs? RvB, Genlock(lol) and even RWBY? These are actual properties that could be used to make money. What does DB actually have? Brand + Wiz n' Boomstick but thats frankly super nothing. If they are willing to sell actual brands, I could see them willing to sell DB to Ben/someone.
The one other way is that DB might be most popular RT property / profitable one left, so there might a reason to keep it going. If it gives some revenue, why not keep it going? Unless pettiness in that its too little revenue.
We did hear DB went overbudget, but that might not mean DB hasnt been profitable.

Considering that he was willing to drop a nearly finish Willy the Coyote Movie just for a tax write-off, i really fear the possibility that he (or so other WB members) may just do the same with Death Battle or any other IP from RT.

That was 70 million tax write off. Unless DB unironically costs in the double+ digit million numbers, it might be somewhat safe?
Does DB cost 1 million dollars a year to make? Honestly not sure.

Key point is: Death Battle is profit making (not too much by being over budgeting but still) so Rooster Teeth may want to sell it if they can reap off any last profit from it.
What we should feat is that there are spiritual successors and therefore they would not need to buy Death Battle franchise to make crossover vs shows. Therefore in the end Rooster Teeth should have sold anything for any profit - if any buyer ever wants it and is willing to pay even a buck.
Like Animation Rewind is totally happy running his Cartoon Fight Club and Rewind Rumble so he does not need to buy Death Battle just for the sake of running a vs show.
