I don't trust Craig to be the owner of Death Battle. He is more interested in politics than in powerscaling. I don't want Death Battle to become Chud Battle. He also seems to be a bad business man.
If he saves enough and invests good during the time he sold Screwattack Inc away... he may ironically be one candidate to actually acquire back Screwattack Inc.

That of course many have expressed their beliefs they would rather have Screwattack Inc dead than having Craig buy it back - at least having power in it.
Ok, first off, it's very doubtful that Craig can aquire the money to buy Screwattack and, by extension, Death Battle from WBD and Rooster Teeth in time before the brand liquidates.

Second, the guy, from former employee's words, was a terrible boss and pushed Ben to do things in Death Battle that held it back/made more issues for the show. Why would Ben want to work with him again?

Thirdly, his current channel doesn't have the ad revenue to acquire the webshow. He would need to fund a kickstarter with a stretch goal in the millions to aquire it and even then, that is a pipe dream.

At this point, Craig is talking out his ass

One and Three I could believe (Craig's channel only as 69k subs), but I am skeptical about two. He couldn't be that bad.

RWBY V 10 will not be happening. I’m sorry but there’s no ******* way that’s too much of a money sink.
Fun fact: If what I've read is to be true, quite a good amount of animators that worked on RWBY didn't have their contracts renewed after Volume 8 and the team was so reduced by such a marginal amount that in house work was impossible...that's why V9 was exclusive to Crunchyroll, because it was the later who helped fund V9 IIRC.

If this is all the case of what happened? Then it not only explains why RWBY had no content in the few years which passed between V8 and 9, which didn't help it in the long run, but it's another key example of how RT sucks as a company and how they handle their IPs. Regardless of RWBY's quality, I'd hate to have my ability to produce it be severely hindered if I were in CRWBY's shoes.

Preach

This shit's pathetic....are people so invested or so passionate about their favorite characters losing in Death Battle that they celebrate hundreds to thousands of people losing their jobs so abruptly and many will be struggling to find new lines of work to feed themselves or families they might be supporting? I want to say I get it but I don't, this community on TikTok is just a disgrace and they treat vs debating like their loved ones' lives are on the line.

As I said in the Dragon Ball discussion thread, words cannot properly describe how much Dragon Ball has meant to me as a kid and how much it still means to me even in spite of it's many short comings over the years....to know the man which created this is dead fills my heart with so much grief and sadness that I don't know how to express it without feeling numb all over.

I don't think it's even possible to exaggerate or overstate or specify just how important Akira Toriyama is. He's easily been a part of millions of people's lives; the amount of series that were inspired by Dragon Ball and Dragon Quest alone can fill entire industries; it is ridiculous. It's just not possible to express the amount of gratitude that people feel for this man, to express just how sad it is to know that he's gone now.

You know I decided to take a look at what Subdural Hematoma does to someone and ****, it's not a painless way to go. Just the idea that Toriyama succumbed to his end as a result of the blood inside his body pooling between his skull and the surface of his brain as a result of a head injury is....I don't think I could imagine how agonizing it must've been for Akira during his final days.

So his death is made sadder when not only did he die, he didn't die peacefully or painlessly either

My goat went out suffering 😔

"Oh, that's Akira Toriyama death, the man who single handily inspired the way shonen is to this day."

So if I want to archive db videos without paying for premium memberships I'm gonna have to do each episode manually with surfast video, the things I do for love. Well if nothing else I'll definitely try to archive modern death battle episodes, as well as any episodes that were worked on by Torrian.

Before anyone says, I don't do zip. Tried it before and messed it up pretty bad and it was messy, not putting myself through that again.
