RWBY Vol 9 General Discussion Thread: Multiverse Of Therapy

also ruby also needs new key for her ascended self as she basically was on par with the Curious Cats buff form when it stomped all of her team and basically one shot the rest of jaunes aura

We can also scale the Curois Cat and the Jabberwalker to the early Gods. Said gods in their early years made those islands in the Ever After. And those two beings were supposed to take the roles of the gods.

so for the new additions

New key for Neo, for Jaune and...... Ruby i guess?

didn't seem that different than before after her ascension, battle wise too

for Neo Post evolution key

for Jaune post ever after key

for Ruby post ever after/post ascension key

Welp that WAS an episode. Honestly, they really did the most cliche shit they could've done. I am actually still contemplating if this narrative decision actually ruined the volume for me or not. I'm leaning that it probably does.

So what does this change? The Ever After made the Gods instead and they weren’t originally one dragon so no Tier 4 or 3?

Actually, looking back they made everything else like the Afterans, Cat and Jabberwalker. But the tree and realm were already there. So no tier change I guess, which kinda sucks.

Are you really that concerned with scaling changing for them?

I mean that's why were all here isn't it?

Even then, the way this whole volume was set up was that the Gods made the place, from the acres to the cat to their images on the door. Only for it to swerve at the last second saying no the tree made them instead.

A) Is it possible that the Tree existed before the gods and the land around it?

B) Wouldn't this still mean that the Tree itself it possibly T4?

Hard to say. The tree was there first but we don't know if it came into existence at the same time as the realm or that it made it after.

updated the scaling for my moon level scaling for my rwby crossover au

Moon level scaling:
Ozpin (baseline moon level) < Fall Madien Cinder Fall (killed ozpin) ~ post zenki Orange amp bann (4 times stronger then 7.4 Exatons) < Ever After Orange amp bann ~ Winter Maiden Ever After Penny < Curious Neo (battled both Orange amp bann and Winter Maiden Penny at the same time) < Ozpin (200+ years ago. Killed King Piccolo in his prime) < The wizard < Wrathful Bann (74 Exatons) ~ Curious Cat buff form (pushed back Wrathful Bann) ~ Ascended Ruby (harmed the Curious Cats buff form) < prime Ozma (148 Exatons) ~ Salem with magic at max power ~ Raditz

Salty cause no Tier 4 gods.

Well they did set up the acres (maybe even make them), just not the realm itself.

I mean, no? All it debunks is the gods creating the everafter, not the other universe
But isn't them creating the universe only come from the tale they were one being that created it and split into two? Since that story isn't true why would we selectively pick the universe creation feat when it very likely didn't happen (since unless the Tree teleported the brothers into a void, they were likely transported into an already existing universe)?

Nah, according to Oz all of the stories in that regard have different details but the core is that they created the universe

So now we know that the 'realm outside our own' is the Everafter

Just finished the finale, and two things stick out for me:

1. YES! THEY DIDN'T KILL OFF JAUNE LIKE I THOUGHT THEY WERE GOING TO DO, I'M GLAD THAT JAUNE'S GETTING THE CHANCE TO GO HOME!

And 2. The lore of the Brothers was....intruging, to say the least. I know that we've already speculated they had a connection to Ever After, but being from Ever After was a twist I wasn't expecting.

All in all? I think this episode was a solid 8/10, and Volume 9 as a whole is a definite 8 or 9/10 for me. With some unfortunate lows aside, this was a really damn good volume and certainly one of the best in the series

Just saw the final Episode, and man that just took the entirety of V7 and said "hold my ******* beer"

I was already writing a segment on it as part of my Saga video, not knowing how much better it could get.
I might just give folks early access to that part of the script. Who's in?

So, looking back at the episode, the Tree said this in relation to the Curious Cat: "Soon they realized that their new creation could do their job for them, fixing the broken parts of the Ever After." This comes right after where the Tree said that the Brothers made inhabitants and gave them roles to play, implying that they made each acre.
