...Key word here is "might". Which isn't supported by the comic whatsoever.
That's clearly not meant as literal. "Or becomes it" is just asking a question become he is becoming so small and insignificant in comparison to the void he is seen as nothing.
That's the only time something like that is ever mentioned and never again. In the newer comics he clearly isn't merged with the void or anything ridiculous like that.Gasper, there is no evidence to suggest that he is incapable of merging with void, so a potential rating should suffice for now. Additionally, your assertion seems to be based on your own interpretation. It's possible that one could become so insignificant and minute that they merge with emptiness and become void.
...why are you bringing up new comics? this is specifically for vertigoIn the newer comics he clearly isn't merged with the void or anything ridiculous like that.
I fail to see the reason for not assigning a potential rating to him. Do you comprehend the concept of a potential rating? I am not proposing a definitive rating, so your second sentence is unrelated to my suggestion. That's the only time something like that is ever mentioned and never again. In the newer comics he clearly isn't merged with the void or anything ridiculous like that.
Its "not literal" has been used a lot to dismiss something without actual proof. Its not a comparison of his size but rather the fact that his future is unknown to us. There is no actual absolute or subjective vantage point for us to measure him against the Void. That's clearly not meant as literal. This is spoken in ignorance more than anything. That's the only time something like that is ever mentioned and never again. In the newer comics he clearly isn't merged with the void or anything ridiculous like that.
Why exactly? Like i said, that's COMPLETELY unsupported and the only scan implying that is the one above which can also be interpreted differently than what ya'll suggesting.I fail to see the reason for not assigning a potential rating to him. Do you comprehend the concept of a potential rating? I am not proposing a definitive rating, so your second sentence is unrelated to my suggestion.
What? How was my comment ignorant in any way?Its "not literal" has been used a lot to dismiss something without actual proof. Its not a comparison of his size but rather the fact that his future is unknown to us. There is no actual absolute or subjective vantage point for us to measure him against the Void.

I didn't misunderstand anything. How the hell would you give a character an ability he is clearly never demonstrated and the only vague ass statement about "... or becomes it" is justifying this at all?Gasper, if you continue to misunderstand the attributes of a possibly rating, I see no point in further deliberation. Until then, I am in disagreement with your viewpoint.
Vertigo is DC. I don't see what's your point here....why are you bringing up new comics? this is specifically for vertigo
Because it is based on ignorance. The final page is the culmination of the series. A showcase of Lucifer finally achieving the freedom he had desired. Just as in Sandman when he thought he would be free after leaving his kingdom, and in Lucifer when he creates a new Creation, and here when he finally finds freedom from himself. How would he do this in early parts if he hadn't actually found his freedom in the first place? This is not some magic trick that he should do this frequently. Its the character finally getting what he desired. Do you disregard someone achieving something because they don't do it everyday? What? How was my comment ignorant in any way?
Look, i you really believe he merged with the void at one point and is never brought back ever again, then go for it.
But just know i completely disagree for reasons in my comments above.
He is just flying to other creations which is then further commented upon in his solo run by saying "i have passed between multiverses"Because it is based on ignorance. As per the sequels, Holly Black's Lucifer has very little bearing to the plot. The characters, cosmology and even the story of the Carey version are changed or disregarded and has very filmsy canon to the Sandman Universe.
Watters' version precede Carey's Lucifer and there is no Gate to the Void yet. Also, the angels were one with the Void in the beginning here. So yeah, ignorant.
So, you just ignored everything I posted. Good on you.He is just flying to other creations which is then further commented upon in his solo run by saying "i have passed between multiverses"
Again, nothing implies he merged with the void.
I don't see how is most of your comment relevant. I can just as much say what you wrote in the first half of your comment is just your interpretation. So, you just ignored everything I posted. Good on you.
Yes it is but i mean... my dosen't contradict anything. And yours is not?
Providing context, to an argument you yourself are using, isn't relevant?I don't see how is most of your comment relevant. I can just as much say what you wrote in the first half of your comment is just your interpretation.
I know the content tho?Providing context, to an argument you yourself are using, isn't relevant?
Yet, your argument fails to demonstrate that.I know the content tho?
I didn't said theirs is invalid because he dosen't show feats but because in the context of the story it just doesn't make sense.Aha, so yours is valid because it does not “contradict” anything, but theirs that is only interpreting on a possibly rating which the panel suggests directly is invalid because there is no “feats” happened where you are aware that we give rating and abilities to statements and feats as well?
Furthermore, can you provide me with the evidence that supports your interpretation?
No it dosen't. I am fully aware of context behind that scan. I also demonstrated how your interpretation is wrong.Yet, your argument fails to demonstrate that.
You haven't demonstrated anything. You have just changed your point from "its distance", "its not literal", "he hasn't shown it", "never comes up again" to now "context of the story". You have demonstratedly failed to prove any of the myriads of points you have made.No it dosen't. I am fully aware of context behind that scan. I also demonstrated how your interpretation is wrong.
Aha, I will take this as refusing to show an evidence. Thanks! But this conversation is clearly not going anywhere so just contact ant and see what's his opinion on this.
It's literally multiple points demonstrating the same point. So just ignored most of my points as well. You haven't demonstrated anything. You have just changed your point from "its distance", "its not literal", "he hasn't shown it", "never comes up again" to now "context of the story". You have demonstratedly failed to prove any of the myriads of points you have made.
Whatever you say. You are the one who should provide evidence that he somehow merged with the ******* overvoid which is laughably stupid argument to make in the first place.Aha, I will take this as refusing to show an evidence. Thanks!
You are the only one bringing up Overvoid here.Whatever you say. You are the one who should provide evidence that he somehow merged with ******* overvoid which is laughably stupid argument to make in the first place.
My request was for evidence to support your interpretation, but you have not provided any.Whatever you say. You are the one who should provide evidence that he somehow merged with ******* overvoid which is laughably stupid argument to make in the first place.
There is literally nothing TO PROVIDE other than the whole merging with overvoid is completely unsoported. It's literally headcanon from one ******* statement on one panel. Like dude, how can we give a character an ability that he dosen't have?My request was for evidence to support your interpretation, but you have not provided any.
Based on my analysis of the panels, it appears that there are no anti-feats to contradict a possible rating.
No one claimed it is a feat, it is a statement which may be a true or false, which suffice the attributes of a possibly rating.Anti-feats have nothing to do with this argument at all. There can't be any anti feats for a supposed "feat" he never did.
