FrostNova VS Mr. Freeze (DC Comics). It is a matchup I always promote.

Well this is technically on par with Mr Freeze if we take his high end

And now it boils down to the speed and hax and how many people actually want a DC vs Arknight

I feel FrostNova vs Mr. Freeze is too boring so i'm not supporting this idea lel
We have had Gray Fullbuster vs Esdeath at Season 7.

But yeah people would be far more interested at Cirno vs Jack Frost (Touhou Project vs Shin Megami Tensei) as the next ice fighters battle.

... Hold it.
FrostNova has also Toki (FOTNS) as opponents of "powerful fighters with terminal illness".
But yeah FrostNova is screwed up harder if even Jagi would stomp upon her.

Since ice element battle is being brought up, what kind of themed matches havent they done yet?

They havent done plant vs plant themed fights, cant remember such. Other elements like poison are rare too, Harley vs Jinx might be only poison themed MU by technicality. Theme can be more abstract like pirate vs ninjas as well which we technically got with Sanji vs Lee.

But are there good MUs for these missing MUs then as well?

Cirno vs Jack Frost is kinda like the #1 ice themes one I can still think of

Uhh surely there are bigger ones than that for ice?

Ice is fairly popular with 3 Ice themed MUs. Fire and Electricity have 3 too huh.
I mean, none I can think of. It’s one of the more popular ice themed matches using two gigantic Japanese properties. The best I can think of for ice otherwise is uh, something Christmas themed if it counts?

Even if I shit on comics and even ignoring Iceman, surely Mr. Freeze has an ice themed MU?

I did see some odder MUs like vs Doc Ock, but surely there is sth icy for Freeze?

Marvel Iceman / DC Captain Cold / DC Mr. Freeze vs Mega Man Ice Man
Marvel Iceman vs DC Captain Cold
DC Mr. Freeze (or Captain Cold for a bigger stomp) vs Arknights FrostNova

Any ice user may do, to a different degree of matching.

Just Captain Cold seems to be an even stronger Mr Freeze so here is the competition or differentiation - Captain Cold will fight against herald tiers while Mr Freeze will fight "street to city" tiers.

Those are notable. Monster vs monster is rare too.

On that, while Zeus vs Odin seems most popular mythology fight, are there mythological monster vs monster fights?

For monster vs monster, I'd suggest Grendel (Tale of Beowulf) vs Bakasura (Mahabharata/Hindu Mythology).

Bakasura (Art from SMITE)

Similar stories and backgrounds, similar power levels and very solid connections.

How many notable mythical monsters (those from ancient religion and mythologies) are there?

Like... Does Cerberus vs Fenrir count? Or a matchup with Hydra? Leviathan? Tiamat? Jörmungandr? Or even sirens?

Crippling Despair - Hajime Hinata/Izuru Kamukura vs John Doe (UnOrdinary)

Oh I got one correct matchup already. (I bet some already do. But can you guess all seven?)
Anyone already talked with Aaron about how your music is being completed?

I am surprised Aaron has started on mine.

It's pretty fascinating all the bones/fossils of megafauna, dinosaurs and other prehistoric animals likely inspired the creation of those mythological monsters (e.g like it explains how dragons are consistently mentioned in various civilisations across the world in different time periods ofc part of me still wishes those flying intelligent reptilian fire breathers were real then again if you've watched Reign of Fire then be careful what you wish for)

Tonight on Ancient Aliens, we talk about why dragons were actually aliens from Planet X that helped build the Pyramids of Giza
