Looking at recent VS Sonic stuff, "Metal Sonic is as smart as Eggman" has asterisk to it. Neo Metal got Eggman's Bio-Data in that story, but it was said to be destroyed by the end of it.
Now, you could say Eggman can give it to Metal again, but I feel like you need to mention this as implying Metal is as smart Eggy normally really isnt a thing.
