Ahem, this is clearly Murata trying to show us that by causing a small crack in the ground small photoreactive particles from the ground sprung upon the air, reflecting and refracting the light into a small void of penumbra.

Yeah its a bizarre interpretation. Blast was trying to contain it outright, keeping the explosion from spreading, he wasn't acting as it moved in slow motion.

My guy, earth is his priority. It really doesn’t matter if he cares only about earth or not. The explosion was going to obliterate a chunk of the cosmos whether blast liked it or not. He obviously is going to care about earth first and foremost.

I'm not a fan of the manga's current direction storywise (happy for it powerscaling-wise though), but I hate the possibility of redraws even more unless it's just Murata fixing mistakes. Overhauling entire chapters is just a mess.

Blast wasn’t reacting to “an explosion in slow motion”. The explosion was trapped in his Gate, which “bubbled“ out. That’s why the circle trapping Garou and Saitama is warped, not spreading in all directions at the same time.

That said, considering they ARE inside a bubble, their own force would be trapped in there with themself, meaning they had to take all that force while trapped in such a small space with all that energy. It’s the difference between being near a grenade in the open air vs being near a grenade while trapped inside a tank with said grenade.

he's not bloodlusted at all, but blast essentially is a level of speed above whatever percent of speed he was using here considering he was able to notice the clash's energy and open a portal in that moment

if he really were bloodlusted then gaoru wouldn't have needed to copy him again later in the fight just to keep up with the power he was using

When Blast was transferring Saitama and Garou we see them in motion for the punch and as they are transferring, their fists connects which halts the transfer before Blast can get enough distance between them. I’m wondering how fast would that make them be since they’re moving as they’re teleporting.

Unrelated note but you know how Gamma Jack was stated to be able to vaporize people from up to 100 meters away in spherical bursts or concentrated beams? Using our vaporizing humans value, the blast was about 4 kilotons and the beam was 92 kilotons per second.
