This left me with a smile
After so many years we're finally here huh

Cosmic Fear Mode is part of the name of Awakened Garou not a new style. So we might actually see more forms for Awakened Garou in the manga.

Cosmic fear: Flowing Water Ctuhullu smashing fist
Cosmic fear: Whirlind Iron Nyarlathothep cutting fist
Cosmic fear: Exploding Eldritch Heart release fist
Cosmic fear: Roaring Outer Space ripping fist
Cosmic fear: Outer god calamity Azathoth slaying fist
Cosmic fear: Boundless power attack
Pretty cool names there.

My man Nyarlathotep!

Saitama is a martial arts master confirmed.

I can't tell if this is sarcasm or not. I personally think that Saitama's got some pretty good combat experience that showed in the beginning of the manga. I know it's not really a good reference point or too logical, but I think that the way Saitama fought against the Subterranean people in his dream is at least a partial reflection of Saitama's abilities. He has the dexterity and agility to perform those feats, just never any opponents to force him to fight seriously. But that's probably just my personal bias.

^^hes got 1M+ battles of experience from his training days. personally i do think what he dreamed are his capabilities of when he was getting challenging fight/before one punching.

Tbh fighting an entire race in the span of a single day, each one having potential to harm you severely with a single punch is a pretty good skill feat, even if you are a glass cannon who can one-shot them.

What if Boros was actually able to damage Saitama like the cover implies, but Saitama is just a hidden glass cannon./s

People legit used that "he took damage" panel to lowball Saitama to be around Boros level. As in " yeah, it was minuscule damage, but it still shows he is nearing his limit"

I’m starting to think ONE did step away and came back after Mob Psycho’s new trailer dropped because this chapter this chapter feels like ONE’s writing
Indeed, and unlike Garou's pathetic "This is how I wanted to die all along" line, instead it's "There's no way I'll let myself lose to him."

Having God influence Garou, especially in such a strong manner, is certainly a questionable decision, but it could go well if done right, I still have my doubts though.

Regardless, I think almost literally everyone can agree that this is far better than pre-redraw. Keeping at least some of Garou's dignity and consistency here is better than making him an absolute clown, even if it's rushing God a bit. Still, I'm kinda hyped to see this Garou's feats. Unless God's amp here really isn't that massive, I'm hoping for something ground breaking. Saitama is going to get serious in one of the coming chapters, that's something I'm certain of.

Also, this is confirmation that the previous Garou was Awakened. It said "Awakened Garou, Cosmic Fear Mode", meaning he was already awakened, but this is a different state (or "mode") of Awakened Garou. I think the name Cosmic Fear Mode sounds kinda silly, but it probably sounds better in Japanese, in all fairness.

Pretty sure this Garou dogs on Boros, btw.

I think he's saying it's a return to form. I am sarting to think that while One was still present, he gave Murata a little more power than normal while dealing with MP 100 stuff.
i dont know about give more power but he probs just leveled down focusing on one piece and murata had to work with the downgraded notes.

ONE: Ok I'm gonna need to go quiet for a bit to help the studio with Mob Psycho. I'll leave you in charge of the next chapter, just follow the baseline story and work off of it.

Murata: Yes, Sensei, I can handle this.

Next week, ONE reads the chapter

ONE: I have just vomitted into the toilet. You will never write for One Punch Man again.
