Didn't Saitama get impressed that Boros was holding out against him during his fight while he was holding back to let Boros have a fun fight?

I don't see why Garou dodging a punch from Saitama can't get a similar reaction when no one else has really done that.

Both had Saitama exerting beyond minimal effort so I don't see why they can't be treated similarly

Saitama is basically an inverse power scaler. He sees Boros, who’s infinitely below him just as anyone else is but he holds respect towards him meaning he’s above that threshold of “clown” behavior.

If I had something positive about the most recent chapter then I would say Garou punching Saitama and Saitama shrugging it off was great. Everything else is dog water.

Every iconic moment with awakened Garou so far has been axed or made worse so I dont have high hopes.

Pretty sure it’s flipped. If we’re being honest the webcomic fight wasn’t much better as the 2nd and 3rd forms were featless. Just prolonged mental beating for Garou.

I’m starting to believe ONE is indeed the writer and the only reason the wc was good was because he had months and years between chapters to know what he want to do with the arc. Then again Mob Psycho is a banger from start to end so idk.

Tbh, i'd say the narration and the dialogue are what made the fight so memorable. The current fight will probably become much better when the trash talk between Saitama and Garou starts.

I agree with your assertion but this Garou has zero reason to trash talk Saitama who is dog walking him whereas he in the wc he didnt know who saitama was and viewed himself as superior to him which warranted his trash talk until he got humbled during the fight to the point he couldnt trash talk anymore. It would be narratively stupid for Garou to trash talk someone he views as his final hurdle.

Which is another reason to hate on the manga because wc Garou didnt view Saitama so highly or as some insurmountable hurdle he forgot about.

I'm gonna be honest, I feel like the ship really doesn't work? I don't think their personalities mesh together very well. If anything, I'd rather see Saitama and Fubuki together.
