Here is the preliminary text I wrote for the next
BFDI content revision. Feel free to copy and paste it to alter it into your own.
BFDI: Moving a Universe
This thread is for the purpose of taking action to apply the ideas I read in
the "[Battle for Dream Island] Universe in Planet?" thread by SeijiSetto, which itself addresses the part of
the "Battle for Dream Island: Well, I'm Not The One Who Doesn't Know How High Their Stat Values Are!" thread by Psychomaster35 that upgrades the attack potency and lifting strength of the
BFDI characters. I wouldn't have thought of this revision proposal without them, so credit to those two.
The gist of the original upgrade is that the Earth was revealed to contain a universe sized underworld, which possibly means feats of moving the Earth are far stronger than they would be without that fact, due to it meaning the Earth's core in
BFDI has a far greater mass than in real life. Psychomaster35 calculated this to be a phenomenon of Multi-Solar System level attack potency and Multi-Galactic lifting strength. I'm not as much of a specialist with calculations, but it appears to me that SeijiSetto raises two useful points about Psychomaster35's revision, one being against it while the other being in favor of it.
The point against the revision is the following:
But within that universe (i.e. everything that actually contributes to its mass), anything further ~282,000km from the center would be moving at SoL or higher velocities, which is what makes it incalculable.
The point in favor of the revision is the fact that
the Celestial Body Feats page states the following:
Celestial Body Feats said:
More often than not this involves moving stars at faster than light speeds. Since Kinetic energy of faster than light objects can not be quantified by the use of real life physics, those feats are ranked as following:
[…]
*"If multiple Galaxies are moved at
FTL speed, the feat will be ranked as Multi-Galaxy level."
In accordance with the logic of the Celestial Body Feats page, Psychomaster35 and I suspect that if a universe is moved at FTL speed, the feat should be ranked as Universe level. Due to how the underworld is a universe, moving it at FTL speed requires such a level of power. My revision proposal is to update the higher end to this:
possibly Universe level (Comparable to Blocky, Flower, Loser, Taco, and Woody, who were able to rotate the Earth using their combined strength, which theoretically resulted in the universe sized underworld that appears to be present inside the Earth's core moving at FTL speed on a universal scale from an interior perspective)
A consequence of this revision proposal's acceptance would be making the original calculation by Psychomaster35 outdated and excluded, since the characters scaling to the underworld movement would use a different framework of logic that deems the feat as not applicable for calculations.
