Reaching the 3rd floor, I quickly jogged to the location I was given. There were rumors of a sentient field boss on this floor that has been kidnapping NPCs and Players alike, and hearing it first from Argo, I got the information ahead of everybody else.

While jogging, the fog slowly surrounded me as the moon arose, making me wary and alert. At first it was simply paranoia... but then I heard a sound, then a crackle in the leaves...

...then a laugh...

I looked behind me.

The fog dissipates, revealing a large monster with a pitch black crystal floating above it, having an amount of Health bars that would put any boss so far to shame, and the name:

The One-Eyed Owl.

Kirito is at least Large Building level by an unknown amount (though considering the Large Building mob was very early in the novel, it's gonna be quite a large margin especially considering every 10 or so floors, the boss mobs become much harder to beat) vs City-block level Eto with low-mid Regenerationn.

I can see Kirito requiring several hits in a single spot to make a cut on Eto's tentacles, but then Eto can regenerate. Meanwhile, Kirito can get seriously hurt with a well-placed attack from Eto.

Then again, Kirito is 10x faster (Mach 11) so he'll use his gamer savvyness to target a weakpoint like Eto's neck. I doubt Eto can regenerate from decapitation.

Kirito gets my vote.

Eto has slightly superior stats and reach though, but yeah. It feels a bit one-sided either way.

Eto kakuja size
eto's kakuja is massive

Eto kakuja
It's tongue alone is larger than Eto is

Either way though:
While Eto's weakness may be decapitation (and even that is questionable seeing as beings empowered by Eto have been able to regen from decapitation and Kaneki was able to regenerate from having two very large holes stabbed in his head ), that only refers to the real body's head, not the Kakuja's body. And in Kakuja form, she can freely move around through its body. Her Regenerationn of the Kakuja is also less Regenerationn as it is creating completely new limbs, and she can do this from anywhere on the Kakuja.

So, in order to kill Eto, Kirito needs to:

1. Make his way towards Eto's monster body as she attacks him from far away with Ukaku shotgun blasts and machine gun fire and kagune tentacles.

2. Carve his way into a monster the size of a very large building (while having less AP than her durability) and find where within it Eto is hiding as it constantly regenerates and sprouts new arms and mouths and tentacles to attack him from all angles.

3. Cut off Eto's head (which may or may not even work) without her simply creating an entirely new Kakuja the same size as the other one around her, from inside the old one.

Even if he has that 10X speed gap, I don't think he is capable of this before she can hit him with a single powerful blow, or a few less-than-powerful blows

Wonder if I can still bump this. It hasn't been a month, soo. =3

I also really want to see how this would do.

How is Kirito going to get to Eto's neck to decapitate her?

Assuming that even works seeing as Kaneki regenerated his about a 1/3 of his brain being destroyed, and both Kanae and Noro were able to regenerate from decapitation when empowered by Eto?

Yes he's faster. But the only way he's going to even reach Eto's real body (and he needs to reach it to kill her) is by carving a tunnel into her Kakuja. And once he's inside, it won't matter that he's faster, seeing as she can grow limbs, tentacles and blades from any point around him to attack, and he can't dodge, nor can he block them all.

10X is not even close to the speed advantage he would need to get through Eto. Her sheer size and versatility, the fact she only has a single weakspot that might not even be a weakspot, in addition to her higher intelligence and the mental warfare she'll play trumps him

Note that Kirito is gets Large Building level from the boss fight in the floor 20's, while he's much, much, much, much, much stronger since he's half-soloed floor 74's boss (bosses get stronger per floor and get much stronger every 25 floors, and Kirito was only part of an entire boss raid in the floor 20's as opposed to him dealing more damage than 10+ people including Asuna and Klein to the Gleam Eyes in the 74th).

That, and Starburst Stream, if not sword skills in general, boost 2x his normal combat speed for the entire 16 hits, and even then, Heathcliff can react to it fast enough to activate his shield haxx while the Kirito was midswing. Kirito scales to Heathcliff in reaction time.
