....Sorry I have to at least try this match. Not sure what the gap is between At least Island level and Large Island level but here goes. This is another Fairy Tail vs One Piece rivalry. If this turns out to be a stomp no matter what I'll close it. But like I said. I gotta try this.

two:Shanks is pretty much featless so even if they were same lvl how would we judge this battle with Shanks not showing his powers and abilities except for couple of HAKI things.

It's as if you put Whitebeared against Human Acnologia once he is upgraded.

Wait, I didn't just give you an idea right? Cause really before you even try Acnologia is featless in particular in human form.
 
Gildarts is roughly 5X faster.

AP gap doesnt mean much to Gildarts since he ignores durability.

Speed gap isnt significant to Shanks since pre-cog closes the gap.

Stats are surprisingly close.
 
So than with speed unequalised we could consider this a battle but I think we all know how the reasoning would end up so I think we should close this until Shanks at least shows other powers since it's kinda a blind guess at least for me.
 
As of now we should be fine with a fight. I mean we have had plenty of Acno fights in the past so, yeah this is fine.\

Okay, than all I can say is this:

Gildarts wins because his crash magic would allow him to defend from almost anything Shanks uses against him, while when it comes to physical brawl with being so much faster Shanks would almost never hit him,while Gildarts even thou is going against pre-cog with that same speed would have more chances of hitting him and causing damage that would also be boosted by the fact he has abilities (don't remember the name if I take a look I will add the name think it was "crushing evil spreading the truth") Gildarts can negate his powers and do much larger damage with the hit that comes after negating his powers.

So mid-high difficulty for Gildarts. If Shanks had shown more powers maybe my opinion would change,but for how the things are currently it's vote for Gildarts.
 
^Maybe it won't, but I don't know. It's really hard to judge since I can't find a lot for Shanks and with durabilty negation,power negation and 5x speed without having something in particular Shanks here is disadvantaged.
 
Gildarts is significantly faster than Shanks. There is no way that Shanks is tagging Gildarts. So Gildarts wins this with his crash magic which ignores durability.
 
Wait is that true? I always just figured they had a similar design (wouldn't be the first time it would have happened in fiction)
 
I honestly never cared for the parallels. But I guess some people really like to see what characters look alike. And then complain.

Gildarts is supposed to look similar to Shanks because Hiro was once Oda's apprentice and it was done as a sign of respect,but it's really only on the aspect everything else about these two is almost completely different.
 
Uh right hmm based off what we've seen of Shanks currently I'm inclined to give this to Gildarts due to durability negation and superior speed (though this might change once he gets proper feats)
 
Going with Gildarts due to the argument regarding speed, haxx and well featlessness. But frankly I like the bro-tier ending : p

Probably not a good idea to include this on the victory count so either way this should just be treated as a brotherly quarrel or something.
 
Well seeing as Acno vs DoFlamingo (I think that's pink furry guy's name) was added despite Acno's abilities not really being known other than brute force, it could be added.
 
As for feats, Shanks shook the Grand Line during his clashes with Dracule Mihawk and casually split rows of clouds while crossing swords with Whitebeard. I need to revise his page (as well as a lot of One Piece pages for being plagiarized off the One Piece wiki).

That said, he has no real answer for Crash Magic other than dodging, so if Gildarts gets one clean hit (which is wholly possible due to the speed difference), Shanks is done for.

Gildarts is just an inferior copy of shanks so shanks wins by default, also this is a pointless match you don't even know shanks Abilites, obviously people are gonna vote for the guy that has actually shown his powers, which you knew when making this

First, that's not a valid argument. Second, you cannot deride other works and franchises, especially on a versus thread.
