This battle is a pain in my ass tbh Honestly I'm lost on the votes. But I'm trying to keep up.

Speed Equalized. Low 2-C Discord, End Game Joker.

Discord: 0

Ren Amamiya: 2 (multipize, Ivory)

Inconclusive: 8 (lightbuster30, RicardoSama, Allen, i'm blue daba, SmashKabab, Cinnabar, Mrkerf, EMagalorSoul)
 
From what I understand, Power Null or Transmutation. Bloodlusted might go for something else first though. Also yeah, no Satanael here.
 
He can use it via thought. Though with Joker's Fate Manip + Resistance to PN, Discord may be more inclined to try Power Null and fail. I'm not sure how Joker's Fate Manip actually works though.
 
Joker's Fate Manipulation essentially works by always finding a way out of a situation you're destined to fail. Joker can respond with mindhax/deathhax that works on the mind, soul, and info.
 
Joker leads with either gunfire or elemental spells, though. Discord's justifications make him out to be baseline, so I'm pretty sure End-Game Joker one-shots with his normal attacks.

How does Discord's Power Null work?
 
He makes equipment/body parts dissappear instantly with his magic. In that instance, he snapped to do it, but is fully capable of using just his thoughts. He's also been shown to be able blow away the magic of Starlight Glimmer with his breathe.

He'd probably try to get rid of joker's weapons. I doubt his gun has the same resistance as joker himself.

Does joker's spells come from a book or artifact? Or his persona? Actually on that note, does his persona powers come from his mask? That could be a weakness if they do. I apologize, I am not well versed in persona.
 
It's literally never been that way, remember? We assume Ren's most likely moves based on his personality and intelligence, information that only knowledgeables are usually familiar with. Ren's first moves on various occasions in the anime as well as in standard gameplay is gunfire (as seen with Bullet Hail) or elemental spells (as inferred from in-game due to the prevalent strategy of finding and hitting the opponent's weaknesses). Everything else he does, he has to have a reason for.
 
He should be able to get rid of Joker's equipment then. Joker still kinda oneshots with his regular attacks. Even one bullet or an Agi would probably cripple Discord.
 
Would Discord's powers not come from Chaos Manipulation?

Also, I don't see any resistance to transmutation on his profile, but it depends if Discord's magic is completely based on reality warping or not. I believe that he CAN reality warp, but his powers should come from Chaos Manip.

His Chaos manip is a part of his reality warping
 
Discord's reality warping is a part of his chaos manipulation, not the other way around. His entire skillset is based on being abnormal and not making sense. Discord doesn't warp reality so things appear nonsensical, that's just the illogical nature of his chaos at work. Seriously, we just had a discussion thread about this people.
 
Can we make sure joker has a win-con because I'm not seeing one that could feasibly beat him since he's in character while Discord's going for the kill
 
I would be helpful to list them, and consider that

A. I've never played persona or watched the anime

B.Joker's character

C.Discord's trying to alter reality and most likely going to transmute him asap
 
Joker starts with elemental spells/gun skills.

He resists reality warping, but iirc not transmutation.

All of his attacks hit the mind, soul, and information.
 
The issue is say that if they both attack at the same time It comes down to which one hits first

Realistically speaking unless the little cutscenes in the game during fights don't count as time passed (if not than this fact doesn't count at all and I'm just spouting junk)

Discord's attacks have a shorter activation time which would end the match outright

Please correct me if I'm wrong.
