Mario is pretty friendly (he even invites his mortal enemy to kart races) and while Sonic can be cocky he's still a rather nice guy. I think they can become friends rather easily.

I mean, i found it real interesting most agreed Clark and Goku's differences were too important deep down they would not really like each other to the point of being friends, just mutual respect at most.
