World of Heavenly Light Roleplay Thread #1: At World's End, Another Begins...

Klasha was flabbergasted by what he was hearing. "My world's gone?!" The Kremling questioned in a mix of shock and horror, looking down as he let the news sink in.

"thIs is A tRAgEDy bEyond MY CoMPrEheNsIoN, what SoRt Of CrUEL WoRLD DO WE lIVe IN?" Sargent Toad says under his breath.

Her mouth left agape, Xenia dropped to her knees, tears forming in her eyes. "No. No, it can't be. But- But, I was just going for a minute to hunt for food. They can't be...no. No!" The girl fell forward onto her hands, tears falling into the grass as she began to sob.

Frost, while not as extreme as Xenia, turned away from the conversation, her mind in the process of disbelief. "It can't be...all gone, right?" She asked herself. But upon gazing at this new and unusual world she had come into, there couldn't have been any other solution.

"However, there is still hope," Rosalina said, attempting to break everyone out of their own despair. "As I mentioned, my Lumas sought you out for a very specific reason. Because, as it turns out, I have experienced a similar situation not too long ago, albeit at a much smaller scale than what has happened now. And while there doesn't seem to be much that I can do this time, I was able to have my Lumas save as many people as they could who can accomplish this task."

Rosalina walked out from the circle of people, and gazed out into the wild world before them, likely drawing their attention to it if they hadn't noticed it already. "Whatever has done all of this is attempting something with the many souls it has obtained from their worlds. Whether it be to build an army of some kind, or absorb all of their energies for its own, or even something else completely, I can't be sure. However, what I do know as that, while most of them have completely vanished, the strongest of all the worlds have taken form, and they're all down there. Heroes, villains, and even those in between. All of them have been gathered, and will inevitably oppose us.

"For you see," she said, turning back to their group, "you all possess a special ability, one which has laid dormant in all of you until this moment. The ability to capture and harness the power of these warriors, otherwise known as 'Spirits.' And with this ability, you are the only ones who will be able to oppose this great threat, and restore balance to the multiverse. So, please, say you'll help me stop this madness that will inevitably consume everything until nothing is left." She finished speaking, and allowed her visitors to absorb the information they were given, and awaited their response.

Interested by the fiction being weaved before her Nocturna's eyebrows were raised, not in surprise but in disbelief of what things are being.

"Ha" she said, "You can't expect us to believe that, do you? You expect us to believe that we just so happened to get selected by "our souls" and that the Universe is destroyed? Do you know how absurd that sounds? Honestly, if you're looking to ransom us off, you could at least give us a better fiction to have us buy into than someone destroying the Universe and no one knowing about it." Nocturna spat, half in disgust and half in offence, not even comprehending how someone could spout such non-sense to her with a strait face.

Metalli rolls her eye's at Nocturna. "I'm a mecha-mermaid made to fight in wars, this honestly isnt sounding tha absurd right now."

Rosalina was about to respond, but the Frost stepped forward, and walked up to Nocturna, scowling at her. "You're the one living in fiction, it seems. Look around you. Look at where we're standing. I don't know about you, but this as sure as hell isn't Mobius, and half of these people don't even look human, much less like Mobians. So, why don't you do us all a favor and shut up?"

Xenia, meanwhile, was still on the ground, her eyes red from crying, but she had at least calmed down after hearing Rosalina's speech. Her mind began to ponder if this was really the best course of action to take, and wondered if there was anything else she could even do.

"Uh...capturing spirits?" Rachel asked with a frown as she relished the time for asking questions just...seemed to be over. "Does...does that mean like taking souls or something? That...doesn't sound very good at all..." she rubbed the back of her head, still equipped with her ice pick.

Waddle Dee gives Rosalina a decise look and raises his puffy right hand in the hair.

He was gonna get revenge for what happened to Popstar.

So our worlds are gone and now we have to save the multiverse

"Well it's not like I can go back home anymore so count me in." Shiori says

'I see I was asking how to get power, and a answer has been provided. How lucky.'

"I see no other choice but to help with this quest, I will gladly give my aid."

"Are you seriously only joining this to get power? Do you not care about your world in the slightest?" Nicholas glares at the young girl that just spoke.

"...Very well," Klasha decided after a moment of thinking. "I wanna klobba whoever did this, so count me in!"

"I mean everyone was going to die when the universe eventually collapsed so, this just sped up the process a little."

"That would have taken billions of years to occur, if it even did. That cannot possibly be compared to a genocide of multiversal scale. People like you have no right to live over the ones who died here." Nicholas says in a surprisingly calm voice, he then looks at Rosalina.

"So what do we do now?"

Nocturna feeling insulted "Honestly, what are these absurd words, "Mobius" I don't know which country you come from but I've never heard of Mobius, every word you utter you seem less credible. If there is such a being who could destroy a Universe, how would we ever be able to stop such a Omnipotent force? Would you not be able to show us this create, I doubt such a being would hide themselves." She spat back.

Waddle Dee goes to Xenia and gives her an hug with his puff smol arms.

Rosalina sighed. "Unfortunately, I cannot give you the proof you so desire, as it literally is nowhere to be found. As for how it can be beaten, I believe that with every Spirit you capture, your overall strength will multiply, until you may be able to take on the force who did this to our worlds. I know it is not much, but you will have to trust me on this fact."

She then turned to Rachel. "And addressing your concerns, do not think that we are really killing anyone. Everyone has, for lack of a better expression, already become Spirits. These figures are simply physical representations of these Spirits, that talk, act and fight the same as they did before this calamity struck us. Upon defeating them, they should simply return to their incorporeal forms, and you should be able to obtain them."

Rosalina looked off in the distance, and her eyes narrowed. "And it seems that the one behind this is sending us a welcome party." In the blue sky that Rosalina stared, six distinct shooting stars were arcing across the sky, once again heading in their direction, with one larger star leading the other five. "It appears that we are out of time. Regardless of your motivations, I require your help now. Please step forward, and I'll give you the strength to fight this upcoming battle!"

Xenia, smiling at the Waddle Dee that attempted to comfort her, stood up and wiped her eyes with her arm, before stepping forward to Rosalina. Frost, too, after giving a nice, icy glare to Nocturna, stepped forward.

"W-We have to fight?" Rachel asked as she nervously stepped forward. She didn't know what was going on...she was nervous. "Are people going to die??"
