Why do we separate Wario and Donkey Kong Country?

While browsing the Verse page I noticed this section stating that spin-offs aren’t non-canon, alternative continuities, or alternate universes, citing examples like the M&L series and the Paper Mario series, which we don’t give separate keys for. So why are Wario World and DKC given special treatment in this regard?

Technically, you are correct that they're canon and that keys just come from trying to make everyone scale to Tier 4. But it's kind of just comes from consistency issues, but the tiers are being discussed. I will say that if Tier 4 ever does get axed, then DK's 6-B feat will just become a back up and there would be no need for DK and Wario being separate keys to begin with.

Wario and dk having different keys never made sense to me Wario is from a Mario game and is usually in spinoffs and Mario and dk have crossed over many times. dk doesn't even have his verse page anymore
