Verses you hate and why?

I wouldn't say hate but shows that I don't see the hype for or just mid:

1) Black Clover- Incredibly mid. It feels like a rundown Naruto but far worse, most of the cast are 1 dimensional, powers are pretty cool, the arcs are "ok": Elf arc was incredibly convoluted and this current demon arc is imo terrible. Animation was imo it's only strong suit but the timeskip made it terrible. Manga art is fine, but the chapters are extremely short.

2) Boruto - love/hate relationship. I like the series but it feels like they've got no idea where the plot is going. Naruto and Sasuke fight like they've got no clue how to fight, Androids and Gods aren't terrible but the show sorta feels rushed. I would've liked more character depth in the side characters, but the side characters are sadly boring, and uninteresting. There's no space for side plots, unfortunately. The story is too plot driven (especially in the manga).

3) Fire Force - Just fanservice and great animation. The characters are okay, and the plot is cliche, but not bad. The way they use fire is creative but it's incredibly stupid and cringe, they love to use science to justify what ever the creator throws at a character for abilities.

4) Seven Deadly Sins - They dropped the ball so hard with this series.. season 1 was so good, and so was season 2. Season 3 and 4, outside of the horrendous animation, was incredibly random and disappointing.
The use of Merlin in the manga was absolutely ridiculous and absolutely disappointing.
The show had great promise in the beginning: The races, the Sins and the Commandments, the World building, but they couldn't live up to what they put out.

(I'll add more if I can remember more)

The only one that I don't like instad dead, all the characters have the personality of a potato, everything revolves around I'm strong, look how strong I am

Soul eater made me fall asleep. Only one other thing did that and it was Titans Return. IMO They are ASS.

Lucifer TV show. I hate how they turned a deep series about free will, philosophy, the nature of reality into a police show with bullshit love story thrown it. Why even call it lucifer it has nothing to do with the original.

Well, don't I just love to hate stuff?

1) Your Lie in April

For anyone who is aware of my presence on this Outerverse we call "the internet", this should come as absolutely no surprise. I see so many people lap up the mellowdrama, idiotic characters, indiscreet and otherwise tone-deaf handling of it's themes (cough Saki Arima cough), and hypocrisy abound, and lord it as the next coming of Christ... and it pisses me off to no end (the show itself, not the majority that dare to have a differing opinion to me). I have about 50+ pages worth of notes on why I hate this series (with the since-scrapped attempt to make a video responding to a friend who responded to me on my displeasure of YLiA), which I am willing to leave here.

Needless to say, this series is everything wrong with the emotionally incontinated degradation of western society, all the while using mental and terminal illnesses as a battering ram.

2) Yu-Gi-Oh

OK, this one is super petty in a way, and that's because I was hard picked on in secondary for having any affection towards the series. Then again, those people may have had a point when considering that this series has almost no dramatic tensions to my knowledge when 99% of this shit is based on leaving 'saving the world' to luck. Shuffling decks in general was stupid for that reason alone, which is why I'd often cheat games, the dynamics were that ass backwards.

3) Bunny Girl Senpai

Not even much to it, it's an incredibly boring series with nothing really going on, and most of it's humour boiling down to 'main guy is horny'. Great! Can Genji be at the Apollo now? I heard he needs healing.

Oh, and Kaede's arc can go **** itself. How do you get physical scars from failing to pull away from social media sites where everyone is an asshole to each other? Sorry, that's on you (not to mention it's hinted at Ep1, and left on the backburner until LITERALLY THE END OF THE SERIES).

4) Bloom into You.

This one is more 'massive disappointment' than series I hate, but regardless, it's worth mentioning.

Before any of the LGBT want to jump down my throat, I'm not against homo romance. RWBY Bumblebee is harmless, Yuri on Ice is a cult classic (and for a damn good reason), and as a libertarian, I'm not against two consenting adults doing what they want (emphasis on the 18+, keep that way back in the green matter, would'ya? Bitchin...).

What I AM against is series with twisted or otherwise confused messaging, a main that is ultimately forced to care about the contemporary in question (in this case, Yuu, some kind of failed Aromantic, falling for Nanami, who (to put it politely) is unnecessarily pushy) after working up the confidence to dump a guy. All in a series were almost nothing happened for most of time immemorial, meanwhile side characters that have no other function aside from 'LOOK WE'RE GAY RIGHT GUYS?!', and has possibly one of the biggest non-endings I think I've ever seen.

And that's just the tip of the iceberg... needless to say, I felt pretty groggy afterwards.

5) To Aru Index III

What the flying **** happened here? Imma just leave my Discord response here to explain it all:

Oh and a late response to one of this threads first messages:

You wouldn't be the only one...

Personally I didn't mind it that much but the romance aspect was something I didn't like tbh

NOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Understand now that my disapproval of the series comes from intrigue, and disappointment of what it became as opposed to what it could have been. Not as ‘some normie who doesn’t get it’.

I like RWBY, but I honestly gotta agree with this one.
It really did start off okay, other than the fact that Ruby was pretty annoying. Some characters like Cinder were interesting at first, but...they ruined it. They honestly ruined it. I actually liked a few characters like Watts (RIP to him), Whitley (Super misunderstood by the fandom), and a few others. However, the rest of the verse is just dumb.

Yeah. The show went downhill when Volume 5 hit, which is mostly considered to be the worst volume by the RWBY community.

I also hated how they nerfed Neo in Volume 8. They did her so dirty.

I'm going to me Mr. Contrarian and say that things in V5 make more sense now that Volumes 6 and 7 exist (8 is a bit more debatable, but I usually retrospect these things so idk). I've never had a problem with Ren's stance on semblances, for example (for reasons I outlined here), and I'm really not sure if the later seasons would function the way that they do were it not for things like the vaults being introduced this way.

Needless to say I've never 'hated' V5 in the same way others do, nor have I ever minded it.

RWBY had me losing my mind with how they treated Adam. Like seriously how do we go from potentially Malcolm X or Spartacus with a blade to Elliott Rogers. Adam, Raven,Yang and Ironwood were my favorite characters and slowly all of them got completely ruined.

Why Yang? I agree that Adam was a very interesting character. Watts was one of the few exceptions where he started off obnoxious, but became more and more reasonable and likeable in the show. It's just a shame that they wasted such a good character

Why Yang?
While I do like her, I can understand why he thinks Yang got ruined. In Volumes 1-3, she was a straightforward, confident, energetic girl who loved adventure. But after she got her arm cut off was when she became an edgy girl with PTSD and anger issues. She also hasn't gotten many chances to shine after Volume 6.

Her upbeat and caring personality made me like her. Her PTSD arc in volume 4 was interesting but they screwed up not letting effect her during fights even when it's the guy who gave her the fricken PTSD!!

I agree with you 1000%.

I was honestly fine with the PTSD aspect of her, but I agree that she was too edgy after that.
