Verses you hate and why?

  • Blazblue (is underwhelming in terms of character design, I do like Arakune tho)
  • DCEU poorly characterizes many, many characters and it annoys the shit out of me.
  • Monster Girl Encyclopedia because the character designs are bland for monster characters.

It honestly is…sry. The verse has cringe dialogues, rushed character arcs, and even character actions that make no logical sense.

For example, Jaune Arc literally fakes transcripts to get into Beacon Academy, which makes you think that he’s extremely determined about being a huntsman. However, he literally doesn’t pay attention to class and shit, it’s contradictory and makes no logical sense.

There are many other issues such as the wasted potential of Weiss’s character to get over the racism she likely got from her dad and stuff.

Cinder literally starts as an interesting villain, but soon enough we see that she falls into the same cliche as other poorly-written villains, which was why I particularly liked Watts for basically bashing her.

And then Ruby Rose. At this point, I hate this character so much that I won’t even clarify. Just try watching the series, you’ll see what I mean.

ye. Instant death is not that different from "op oc x girls/harem". i still prefer yogiri over some other isekai protagonists like the isekai smartphone mc whose name i forgot.

Definitely no my dear. RWBY got crowned THREE times!. How can such a series be bad?
1.Crowned as the most cringe inducing show
2.Crowned as the show with generic yet shit written protagonists
3.Crowned as the show with the most shittiest plot

I mean…Issei’s actually fairly well-written tbh, especially in the light novel, but yeah…rwby was absolute shit.

I only vaguely recall seeing episode 1 of In Another World With My Smartphone. OC impressed a girl or 2 with how he had skill with all 4 elements from the smart.
What makes him &/or his series hated? Interested about knowing.

I haven't watched RWBY (& the way this thread is going, it isn't exactly enticing me towards the show.), but isn't it a dark fantasy? Just what kind of screwy idealism is Ruby's mind operating under that being a hunter of dark fantasy horror monsters who fights probably annoying & dumb villains is a desirable "fantasy life"?

i mean, it's all right if you are depressed and want to watch an anime just to pass time- it's a nice cute anime, but if you want well written characters or plot, then ....uh, i suggest you find someone else. Still, i would take this shit over rwby anyday.

You know, ruby is one of those kids who want to be a hero and save others . She is like shirou , but shirou actually is well written and has a reason for his hero complex. Ruby wants to be a hero...just for sake of being a hero. she basically thinks she is superman.

The worst part is that her mom dying is literally the cringiest reasoning for her wanting to be a hero or whatever. It's the same old "villain causes special person's death" trope, which has honestly just gotten old, like at least come up with something new for the MAIN ******* PROTAGONIST OF THE SERIES. Anyway, she was just annoying. She barely had a character arc that we don't even see, just can only speculate because of the sheer amount of time skips in this shithole of a series.

as a fan of anos, yeah, i hate to say it but it's kinda cringe. infinitely better then instant death imo, but you should try seeing the scene where anos saves sasha and misha, or how he enjoys telling how he is far more powerful then the opponent, and apparently there is some bdsm shit going on with some goddess of bondage or something

instant death is bad it has nothing remarkable literal it is the same as the infamous sugverse shinza bansho I like it but many times it is quite pretentious a lot of pseudo philosophical phrases that in the end contribute little or nothing

If we're talking about just likes and dislikes... Whew...I got some hot takes.

Fate series is boring. Too boring to ever rewatch on my own. And this goes for all of them from the first series in like 2006 to the movies, UBW, and Apocrypha or whatever the one with teams.
Same with Monogatari Series, but it's somehow even more boring.

And both Jujutsu Kaisen and especially Demon Slayer are carried by art, animation, and sound design. Neither being impactful enough to deserve a second watch imo.

I disagree about JK and DS but it is more on a personal level. I have a thing, i enjoy a good chunk of a story based on the atmosphere of it. What is the color palette? What is the sound design? What is the music? What is the art style? That is the thing that makes me want to watch a certain series. Jk has a good atmosphere and fun fights but DS has the perfect atmosphere for me. The colours are vibrant, beautiful, the music emotional and the art exceptional. The story is simple, yes, but do i really care? I can enjoy something just because i can, just like you love a person not because they are thicc or that they are sexy or whatever but rather based on their existence as a whole.
