It's written by Gerard Way (creator of Penni Parker from Spider-Verse, as well as DC's Young Animals), and there's two different comic runs under the name: National Anthem and California. Neither is too impressive in terms of sheer physical power, with National Anthem seeming to cap out at Wall level, and California seeming to cap out at Small Building level for most of the cast, except for the giant android Destroya who is far larger (able to fit an android the size of an adult woman in its eye socket) and more powerful and durable than any of the others. Both seem to cap out at Subsonic to Supersonic for dodging bullets.nope
Both have some pretty decent hax though, with National Anthem having passive Tech Manip and Perception Manip, and the main power system being based on Subjective Reality; with the main characters all having Power Bestowal that can give their prop/toy guns the ability to fire energy blasts, and they each have unique abilities such as Invulnerability, Transformation, Deconstruction, and Stat Amp. The main antagonists, much like the majority of the cast, have Subjective Reality, and with Prep were able to instate Mind Manip (of the Memory and Empathic varieties) via Tech and Biological Manip on a country-wide scale and are able to Perception Manip people who are inherently resistant to it.
As for California, it has things such as Soul Manip and resistance to it, Sealing of souls, Enhanced Senses and ESP that can see Auras, non-visible light, and well beyond horizons, Homing Attacks using said enhanced senses and ESP, limited Fate Manip, Astral Projection, Hive Mind, Type 2 Immortality, and Mind, Memory, Empathic, and Morality Manipulation. Overall, both of the verses have some pretty diverse abilities and even a decent assortment of hax.
Plus they're just genuinely pretty good comic stories, though pretty weird and are best appreciated after a reread
