  • Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo is the greatest manga and is not a gag series.
  • Kirby and Meta Knight would've been better as female characters.
  • Ash is better than Red.
  • Mario is better than Luigi.
  • Link and Zelda is the worst implied shipped pair in the series.
  • He-Man is a beautiful character and his theme songs are good music.
  • Poison type is the best Pokemon type.
  • Gohan should not get a new form.
  • Frieza is the best Dragon Ball villain.
  • I preferred the absurd length in DBZ battles rather than the short battles in Super.
  • Tea >>>>> literally any other consumable thing.

Geo Stelar (Starforce Mega Man) is a more interesting character than any Mega Man protag besides Zero

MMSF is in general better than MMBN

Vader is High 4-C

Mega Man Zero is the best Mega Man series

Obi-Wan Kenobi is a better role model than Mace Windu or Yoda

Imperfect Cell is the best DB villain

Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky is the Best Pokemon Game of all time.

Transformers: Fall of Cybertron is the best Shooter Game we've gotten this decade

Western Animation > Anime

On that note, the anime we've gotten the past half-decade is mostly Moe Trash.

Studio Ghibli made the greatest anime of all time.

Alright, lets rustle some jimmies~

  • Toriel and the tutorial (or basically the Demon) was the best part about undertale, everything after was subpar at best
  • Undertale as a whole was better off when it was an obscure Demon/game
  • DBS is slowly creeping on Fairy Tail in terms of poorly written, poorly executed low tier shounen garbage
  • Fandoms by nature are cancer, and always ruin any series they're based around
  • Shipping and "ship wars" aren't much better
  • Star Wars was never good, not even the original trilogy
  • Rick and Morty is just an edgy, poor man's Futurama, and season 3 was the biggest slap in the face in terms of dropped quality since The Legend of Korra
  • Farnsworth > Rick

I love all the Friday the 13th movies, especially Part 6.

I hate Undertale, especially the characters.

When ever someone talks about the issues with Dragon Ball (any media of it, aside from Broly), i want to obliterate them.

I hate Broly, like really damn hate him.

I don't like Prototype 1, except that there's more abilities than 2.

I hate Bleach.

I hate Naruto.

England is a city.

Western vs Eastern

I've always just enjoyed the best of either, never liked more than the other. Although there is a surplus in anime therefore we talk more about it

Mega Charizard X's introduction in Pokemon origins (the emergence from the water) is the best thing Pokemon put out.

Again, anything remotely known is "discovered" already. Which means only hipsters actually enjoy anything "good"

  • Mega Charizard Y > Mega Charizard X
  • Mega Mewtwo Y > Mega Mewtwo X
  • Latias > Latios
  • Kyogre > Groudon
  • Dialga > Palkia
  • Reshiram > Zekrom and Kyurem
  • Xerneas > Yveltal
  • Ho-Oh > Lugia
  • Solgaleo > Lunala
  • Blacephalon is the best Ultra Beast
  • Bulbasaur is the best Kanto starter

Adventure Time is the best modern cartoon of the 2010s Not sure if unpopular exactly but that's how I feel

I dunno if I agree with that @Js, but it definitely kickstarted the trend of better written and more experimental Western Shows with character arcs and worldbuilding that makes it better than most anime IMO. Like Transformers Prime (which is actually a Chronological sequel to the Cybertron games), Steven Universe, and others. Before then, the only shows I knew of that did this were Code Lyoko and ATLA

Outside of Rick and Morty I would argue Western animation has gotten worse in the past decade or so.

That said I actually find most anime cringe worthy except for the 7 or 8 I've watched to completion so far.

YouTube and gaming are pretty much the only media I consume nowadays. That being said, I watch a hell of a lot of YouTube and play video games about as much.

Well yeah I'd argue it started the western animation renaissance of 2010 ether way

I don't mean "discovered" as in more than a single individual knows of it, i'm not being that literal. "Discovered" as in it's fallen pray to this flavor of the week, hype train, bandwagon mentality we call "fandoms" today.

Also,

Code Lyoko is a vastly better show than SAO and deserves a chance in the spotlight again. Much of what the show has very much foreshadows stuff that is occurring today and could be very good at exploring them (Artificial Intelligence Romance, a growing trend, and the idea of AI being a threat, while often portrayed in media, I don't think has ever been played to such a realistic (and terrifying) extent as it was in CL)

I only watch acose Lyoko when I was in grade school.....I remember thinking it was an anime until I found out it was French o_O

Also I feel Disney Star Wars (including Rebels and the new movies) are just fine and people give them to much hate

I agree. Cliche is kind of unavoidable, since as time passes more and more things become cliche. The trick is handling the cliches well. Dies Irae is the go-to example of a novel who handled their cliches well.

@Matthew

I meant more in a way that people really don't know how to properly portray ninjas and vikings, but thanks for that, I love me some historical documentaries~

Also, fully agree about Monster Musume having great characters. I just don't like the MC that much.

@Kep

Actually, when talking about Minecraft, most people I find are in the extremes. Either they love it or they hate it. I rarely find someone who enjoys it but thinks it gets boring quickly. Without playing online, at least.

Also, a few more:

  • Team Fortress 2 is the best game of its kind, better than Overwatch and most FPS games.
  • Tbh complaining about fandoms is just as bad as doing incredibly cringey stuff. Generalizing it as bad is even worse.
  • Rick and Morty is good, but it'll never reach South Park. Or Xavier: Renegade Angel.
    • Talking about which, both Rick and Morty & South Park have one similiarity: They both became worse and worse by the later seasons. what they have done to cartman is unforgivable
  • I actually loved Ren as a character in Dies Irae.
  • As cliche-filled SAO is, it has a really good concept.

Oh shit....

Well than.

-RWBY is overrated, it was fun watch up to Volume 3 but after rewatching the series after experiencing itger, better anime it's a mediocre to decent series with no real interesting characters barring Pyrrha and Weiss.

Also **** Yang and Blake, and **** chapter 13.

-Kira Carsen is the best girl in the old republic

-I'm not looking forward to the inevitable MM vs Infamoys threads since infamous 1 guys are becoming 7A.

-Everyone except for me and Fate are bad at making spite matches, seriously ya'll making matches to get Mami to lose and I know three who can.

-Vitiate is infinitely more interesting and badass then Sidious.

That is all

You see many kids grew up with those shows and realized they look similar to anime but the thought of them being from another country (like France) never crosses their minds. Then those kids grow up and now we have a generation of those kind of people

I get presently surprised when a cartoon has a continuous plot. Because other than Avatar and a few other exceptions, anime does a serious continuous consistent plot much better (for example, AT has its miniseries, and Elements was amazing, but it comes so rarely instead of one-off episodes).
