In live action, the character could attack whoever's playing the opponent, replacing the character's durability with the actor's.

They could even actively hide outside of the panel, dodging the "camera" as much as possible, so that no one know they exist, and could fully act behind the scenes.

In fact, for a theoretically perfect 4th wall breaker, in any panel, whether they're in or not, 75% of them always have their hand on it.
