I would rather wait until we get solid planet level feats, Boros statement could well be hyperboles (the planet busting). As for DBZ Kai (i dont wanna get into canon debate), there was on panel galaxy busting feat overtime. So yes, we can use the anime as canon because it's more legit that Kai since ONE worked on it himself. But Boros and Saitama shouldn't be upgraded because of one statement with no actual feat

I would like to point out that anime translations are often more accurate than manga translations since it's spoken language. Someone who knows kanjis should check the webcomic and the manga again to be sure.

I agree, especially since we're using Boros's statement from the Manga it could easily be a translation error.

update on the kanjis, webcomic says "sen enagii wo hanachi kisama morotomo hoshi no hiyoumen wo keshi hibashiteyou" literally is: I'll release all my energy and destroy you and the surface of this planet

In the anime the line is almost the same but they removed "no hiyoumen" so anime line is: "I'll release all my energy and destroy you and this planet"

One more thing we need to consider : Shibabawa predicted the destruction of the entire planet, not just it's surface.

And doesn't the webcomic and Murata's japanese version both say that it's planet busting and not just Earth's surface busting ? And isn't ONE directly involved in this anime including a more detailed writing of episodes ? (For example, the upcoming OVAs are all written by ONE).

I know I shouldn't butt in in important stuff, but why don't we go for the middle ground? By that I mean split the Boros profile into 2: Webcomic/Manga and Anime? Since everyone is stumped here.. (Besides Planet-level Boros is awesome)

@ShinyMagicalGirl : Nah, they aren't different versions. Like our folks said up there, Boros was said to be a planet-buster in all medias (except the english version of Murata's redrawing, and even that one has Shibabawa predicting the destruction of the whole Earth).

Just give OPM fan boys the feats, it won't establish anything significant towards these characters being stronger than other verse since other anime/comic series could very well tap annihilate a planet+ with ease. Also because saitama one punch boros isn't impressive otherwise various characters would be known as "one finger man/women" consider that they may perform that as well with the use of their finger.
