A Øÿ×Øÿ®ØÿóØÿÁ Øÿ¬Øÿº...? battle.

Scenario: Thanos needs to talk to Gamora, but she and the Guardians are busy dealing with Ego. Thanos' men tell him that Nebula and Gamora have recently been seen together. He uses Nebula's coordinates to teleport using his gauntlet to her daughters' whereabouts. When the Titan arrives, he sees Ego kill Gamora in front of him with her companions dead on the ground. Then they both duke it out.

Ego is the MCU version. Thanos has the incomplete Infinity Gauntlet (with Power, Space, Reality, and Soul Stone). Him and Ego doesn't have knowledge of each other. Thanos and Ego's avatar are 30 meters away. They continue to fight until an opponent is dead.

Battlefield: Ego's planet, near his core (GOTG2 final battle location)

Speed is equalized.

Thanos has to kill Ego, not his avatar, for him to win.

Thanos -

Ego - 4

Inconclusive -

Thanos easily defeats the avatar, then has no way of even knowing Ego's actually planet. Incon.

That's true, but for what? Unless he managed to use the Soul or Mind Stone to somehow mind read Ego and realize he's a planet, but we don't actually ever see him do that, it's doubtful whether he even can.

Ego:

80.55 Yottatons of TNT

Thanos

5.2 Ninatons

However, Thanos only has Small Country Dura

Let me remind you that Ronan could've destroyed all life on Xandar with the Power Stone as well as decimated its surface. So Thanos can use the Soul or Mind Stone to find out Ego's a planet, and then just keep punching the ground until he burrows into the core, and he can just punch the core and destroy it. Bye bye Ego.

Low 6B can't punch through to the core of the moon and that's not how either of the stones work

Even if Thanos used the power stone to blow ego to bits which he literally never does in character

His regen makes it impossible for Thanos to put him down.

Calling borderline stomp

Give Thanos knowledge and then he can just use the Space Stone to teleport to Ego's core and kill it, I think that's fairer since the Ego avatar can still defens his brain.

The first is a supporting feat, he also scakes to 5.2 Ninatons as Starlord heald on to the power stone.

If Thanos can outsmart and use the God of Mischief and Trickery as a pawn, he can surely figure out some strategy to kill Ego. Also, he'll just use the Space Stone to teleport there.

Planning battle tactics and trying to kill an opponent before they one shot you with no prior knowledge are hardly comparable.

Would this be more fair with full Infinity Gauntlet Thanos? Just don't give him prior knowledge or anything I suppose and Ego should still be able to hurt him I think

Thats just incon leaning Ego as Thanos snaps and includes himself in the selection.

  • If he snaps both, incon
  • He snaps himself only, Ego wins
  • He snaps Ego only, he wins
  • He snaps neither, Ego oneshots as usual.

How can Ego attack Thanos with 5-A potency? The attack that generates that much energy is only the Expansion which he can't do alone and probably won't be useful inside his planet.

That is THE Snap, but there's nothing preventing Thanos from just targeting Ego, like how Stark did with him and his troops.

I literally pointed out that was a Supporting feat, he's a celestial who is strong enough to contain the stone

The power stone?

Was not agreed that the power stone varies in power depending on the user?

Also, the Expansion thing that Ego was planing doesn't seems to be combat applicable, as he need prep-time on top of having an external power source to archieved.

@Armor

Nothing prevents Thanos from targetting only Ego aside from his personality. You need to prove why he would do that when his whole goal and motivation for centuries or millennia was to snap half of all life and make the selection completely unbiased. Even when Thor was shoving an axe through his chest and purposefully try to torture him, he still included himself.

┬┐Why would he include himself in the Decimation when he purposly wanted to see his "grateful universe" from his farm while cooking his Caldito?

Word of God states he included himself and and its why he looked glad after the snap as he wasn't included in the dusted half.
