Super Saiyan: More Than Just Useless Transformation

In the battle between Gohan and Lavender in Dragon Ball Super, there is an indication that Saiyans, particularly in their Super Saiyan form, have the ability to determine their opponent's movements by bouncing their energy like an active radar. This occurs when Gohan couldn't use his sight due to blindness caused by poison nor his hearing to detect his opponent's footsteps, yet he could still read his opponent's movements in his Super Saiyan form.

Gohan states that the Ki of the Trio De Dangers cannot be sensed, indicating that the Ki Sensing ability does not work on them. This forces Gohan to find another way to detect Lavender, especially after being exposed to poison.

Lavender poisoned Gohan, causing blindness that hindered Gohan's visual ability to track his opponent. Additionally, Lavender chose to fly, making it impossible for Gohan to hear his footsteps.

Gohan then activated his Super Saiyan form to compensate for the loss of his vision. In the subsequent dialogue, Lavender says, "Why, you! Can you see?!", showing his confusion about Gohan's ability to detect his movements. Whis then explains that Gohan used his Ki to read his opponent's movements and referred to this as “active radar.”

Whis explains that Gohan used his Ki by bouncing it off Lavender's body to predict his movements, similar to an active radar. This confirms that the Super Saiyan form grants Gohan an additional ability to predict the opponent's movements in a way that does not rely on primary senses like sight or hearing.

Conclusion:
Based on the description and explanation, Gohan's use of Ki as an active radar most likely falls under the category of "Extra Senses," as he uses an extrasensory perception derived from energy manipulation to sense movements without direct contact. This aligns more with "Extra Senses," allowing him to perceive things in a way that ordinary senses cannot.
