STRONGEST One-Punch Man Discussion Thread!

  • Uses his "final move" to try and merge with Void - literally wanting to commit suicide, and prioritizing Void's life over his own. It fails. Instead, he simply gets to see the memories of Void, learning of how many Ls he has truly taken in life.
  • Claimed to be able to manipulate reality and warp space-time, yet still hasn't shown any time warping abilities. His only showcase of durability negation got retconned.

I gotta be real, Blast fans... it hasn't been a good run. I really hope they give him SOMETHING. PLEASE. CAN HE JUST TAKE A SINGLE W?

Blast is still strong, but I will admit he's on fraudwatch atm. Like bro cannot get a single W since he first appeared on screen other than being cool sometimes.

Blast is like, a god-tier but weaker than the other god-tiers and hasn't beaten a single character yet. The fact that EC survived the encounter but was injured means Blast couldn't one-shot EC and failed to finish him. A vastly superior being to EC got beaten by Perfected Fist Garou. Unless Blast just got way stronger since then (which is momentarily my personal headcanon as it's the only justification), this means he failed to perform a feat that Perfected Fist Garou would easily manage in far less time.

Tbh Blast's only genuinely impressive feats are keeping up with actual god-tiers and temporarily holding back the energy of the SPS on his own. Other than that, he has consistently claimed and been portrayed as a reality warper that mixes brawling with space-time manipulation, but all he's done is spam portals and gravity manipulation, with some manner of dura neg BFR hax that's still very controversial and debatable.

And unless there's a way to reattach his arm he might have literally just lost his main gimmick.
 
Inb4 when Blast's squad gets revealed it turns out he's just the support and is actually the runt of the squad who has to stay back while they handle battles with strong avatars (Void and Garou tier). He just handles the fodders. Which is why he keeps losing to what we've seen.
 
Imagine Blast next chapter doing something like pressing the button "Blast" in his chest which removes the limiter on his suit lmao. The guy has been taking just Ls. Back then, some people genuinely thought he could beat Cosmic Garou.

  • Needed help from his Interdimensional friends to hold a single collision between Garou and Saitama.
 
Well the buildup of Sweet Mask's arc has been pretty good and it seems that it's going to be far more important for the story as a whole if they execute it well, one major difference is that the Neo Heroes are already introduced and McCoy intends for them to publicly hunt down Sweet Mask already.
