Steven Universe 7-A"+" Problem

And yet you was scaling Garnet to 317MT when that was an argument already.

There's not that I'm aware of, but there's always the possibility.

Im not scaling Garnet to 317 MT my guy...317 is a supporting feat but she has better ones that scale her well above it

You should bring the relevant feats from the beginning. Guess what, you wasn't doing that.

I was bored and checked out this thread, and I agree with Calaca, the "+" should be changed to At least, it really doesn't make a difference with the AP tho

It's consistent with our format to do it this way

when the difference is less than 2 megatons and the characters scale massively above 548 megatons with the number to have the + being 550, the + is perfectly justified

I will be making a revision thread to have the rule changed later today

Smoky scales to being the combined power of two gems that are stronger than Rubies (Or well, at this point Steven was equal to a Ruby but that really doesnt change much)

548 doesn't come from Rubies, Rubies are 274. Just being stronger than Ruby is not enough, you need proof that the character is twice as strong.

@WeeklyBattles

I think Tier Jumps are completely ok, however going from 548 Megatons to 550 Megatons isn't a Tier Jump at all, Mountain level and Mountain level+ are the same tier, the "+" is just an indicator to show that you are in the upper half of the same tier

Using your logic here, let's say a character scales to 700 Megatons, and then there's someone that scales above that, you can't just say, well this person is stronger than that person, I'm gonna have their AP rating be 710 Megatons, that's not how we format things on this site, she should have an "At least" instead, it doesn't really change anything except the format, Nanatsu no Taizai and Fairy Tail both had this issue but we changed that and now these verses adhere to this rule

It's really a small fix and not a big deal

Yes and both Steven and Amethyst are superior to Rubies, and Smoky is bare minimum equal to their combined strength if not stronger

Yeah, it's not like this is a downgrade at all, just a correction based on what our standards say.

Steven at that point in time wasn't superior to a Ruby, he was comparable to one, that's why he was worried about Eyeball killing him.

And our standards shall be revised with my revision thread

Yes, thats what i said. It would still place them above the mark needed to be 7-A+

If the standards change later, the "+" can be put back, but right now we're going with the current standards, so you can't really use "it will be revised" as an argument to keep the "+".

By our standards them being 7-A+ is completely fine due to them having in-verse multipliers that give them a solid rating that places them in 7-A+

Go ahead, not like I'm stopping you. Right now the profiles are wrong based on our current accepted standards.

Really i can seeing as the only people against the + currently are you and Calca whereas multiple admins and a Bureaucrat are for it staying

Don't ignore Ant who stated that our standards are like I explained and that we should come to an agreement here.

If you didn't want to get backtracked, you could have fixed it in just one comment by accepting that you made a mistake and correcting yourself, but instead you're pretending that you didn't even tho we can literally see that you edited you comment and changed what you said after I pointed out.

If you want to edit your old comment after you realize you got something wrong, that's fine, but you can't pretend that you didn't get it wrong the first time and expect people to go with it.

Just admit you got it wrong the first time and we can move on.

I can't blame Paulo for being so antagonistic in that matter, since you edited your comment to make you look more open-minded or that you have the reason to just deny the things you said before.

It's like me insulting you, changing the comment and claiming that I didn't say a thing about you.

I edited it immediately after i posted it because its what i meant to say in the first place, ergo it is what i originally said. I genuinely have no idea why Paulo is being so antagonistic about this.

Honestly, if Weekly had just said something like "ok, sorry" when I first pointed out the mistake, we wouldn't even be focusing on it and would already have went back to talk about the stats by now.

Making a mistake is fine, but not owning up to it and trying to make me look like a liar isn't.

There's nothing really to talk about, theyre fine as they are and a lot of staff agree. Smoky needs a minor downgrade and some justifications need adjusting but thats about it

The main problem is that the root of the scaling issue hasn't been solved.

The majority of scaling for 7-A characters comes from this on Ruby (Eyeball)'s page.

Attack Potency: Mountain level (Capable of harming other Rubies)

But the feats don't support this.
