anyone else think Eggman is gonna win by a hair?
I think whoever wins, whether it's Eggman or Bowser, is gonna just barely make it. I think they'll put them very close in stats, abilities, army resistances, etc... but the winner will get the win through a couple of minor things that add up to a single advantage they need to need. Now whether or not it'll be Eggman via better illusions or something or Bowser through his borderline immortality or whatever else the two of them will get is up to debate.

Fair.
Maybe my problem is I always treat the positive side as something I need to work towards even when it seems simpler to say otherwise

But I’m pretty sure Wispons can be fired without wisps in Forces, and that’s where the blue wisp transmutation comes from, the wisp enhanced variant just makes platforms.

I meant to see if they use the Wisp's powers naturally or not.
Oh well, in that case I don’t recall her using it without a wisp. But her wispon is also a variable Wispon so, little different. Plus well, still notable how the wispon getting a wisp in it during Forces results in purely a platform creation, instead of the offensive transmutation, and transmutation from the blue wisp in previous games only worked on specific blocks/rings and only between each other.

Just saying that in case anyone's worried that DB doesn't buy into FLT Base Sonic, don't worry. They do buy into it. Me and Shake talked over it a bit.

Well I am willing to bet its more accurate to say that they did since in recent years they have been way more generous with their scaling which is why I think base Sonic will be considered FTL in Bowser vs Eggman from the SPD meter or Metal Sonic flying to little planet. But I also think they will make Bowser a few hundred trillion c off the launch star feat since it would be odd for them to grant galaxy crossing speed to Bardock and not Bowser when the feats are extremely similar. I also think they will make super Sonic quad c from the Sonic rush feat for similar reasons.
That's optimistic, considering they could've done all of that during the second Mario VS Sonic episode yet they didn't. I hope so too though.

We will have a close match... with Bowser winning via army and hax.... Trust the plan...

"Close match" when the researchers basically claim Bowser can solo Eggman's army, can counter everything he does and Eggman's isn't that smart because the character that is show to be wrong said so.

One guy from a year ago. Listen, in my humble, objective opinion that I formed because I am very smart and handsome (My mother said so), I don't think that's enough to say the fight will end in a stomp. Maybe the other researchers agree and it does end up being a massive sweep for Bowser, who knows, but I don't think going off what just Ultraguy thinks is enough to draw that conclusion.

Not that it matters since Ganon solos both of their armies.

Seriosly if Eggman wins it WILL be a good thing, because if he losses, Someone would have to defend Eggman, and then people will comment on the episode result, and people will disagree with the people who disagree with the episode outcome

The previews matched what he argued for. He's the main researcher for Sonic episodes (somehow). The chances are slim.

What in the previews matched what he argued for? Nothing really happened combat wise in the preview, got some cool looking animations but not a whole lot to work off.

???

The same thing would happen if Bowser loses, people would defend him then comment and people will disagree with them for disagreeing. It happens with a lot of DB episodes where a lot of people argue for either side (And even in cases where it's a clear stomp).

I agree with Dust here, I think you're being waaaay too negative. I mean, if you want proof on how opinions change, compare Ultraguy Pre-Sonic V Wally, Sonic V Wally, and Post-Sonic V Wally (Trunks V Silver).

He goes from not buying any cosmic ends, to buying a few, to wholeheartedly arguing the high ends to say it stomps DBH's cosmology by giving Archie Silver a form he used one time and didn't even demonstrate anything beyond his game counterpart in. Genuinely, I think you just need to wait. I mean, they already said outright that Bowser V Eggman had to get pushed back a whole year due to the intensity of production/research and that it will be one of the longest in Death Battle history. The current longest episode? 33 Minutes (Goku V Superman 1).

Not to mention, Episode 100 was quite literally years ago. Their approach to titles has drastically changed in that time. S3 DB isn't comparable to S7 Death Battle, and S7 Death Battle isn't comparable to S11. Their research, animations, editing, storytelling, etc. level up considerably every year. Holding onto bad research then is worth practically nothing, because that isn't at all a valid metric to comparable to their "bad research" now. These were the same guys who used to consider Buu below SoL who now consider Buu an absurdly high value into MFTL. They change, adapt, and evolve. So withhold judgement to see where they've evolved.

If they fail spectucularly, THEN you can rant. The proof is in the pudding. But currently you're down in the dumps about the equivalent of a hypothetical, backwards, all evidence pointing opposite to being the case, Schrodinger's Cat that may never even come to be.

I agree, but I'd still rather be pessimistic about this. I unironically think it's the best attitude to have in this case
