Sonic General Discussion Zone Act 1: New Frontiers

The fact big names like Dwayne Johnson and Jason Momoa were even speculated to be voicing Knux and it ended up being Idris Elba just shows the filmakers really want to treat old red with respect.

Which is more than Sega have done in the last decade (minus Maina).

Yeah, having to restart from the first level about 10+ times is a real pain in the butt in repeat playthroughs when it just makes more sense to program it where you don't have to do that and just play another level but going through a different path

Tbf, it wouldn’t be so bad if the levels were good. But Shadow does the Chaotix Mission style of gameplay better.

All of Me? Best Shadow-related song.

06? Best overall soundtrack in Sonic.

CHADnic? Undefeated by JOBBERdow.

Enough about Shadow the winless loser.

When is Tails, the equally loser-like sidekick, getting the sequel to his award-winning Sky Patrol game?

Yeah for totally not MC BS borderline Mary Sue powers Sonic and his useless or jobber friends (just like the detractors wanted).

Eggman probably could've won a long time ago if he wasn't such a cocky jackass. I mean, the manual of Labyrinth literally stated that he snuck into Sonic's house and switched Sonic's shoes while the guy was asleep.

Yeah, not to diss Sonic because he is very strong but it's so crazy when you consider that Sonic has single handedly defeated most of the recent villains without any assistance and without much trouble. What happened to when he was vulnerable in certain spots and relied on his allies to achieve victory?

Tbh a lot of characters could've beaten Sonic if it wasn't for his plot armour or CiS on their part (at least Archie Sonic had an in universe explanation for this).

Tbh I find recent depictions of Sonic to be pretty intolerable but that's probably a hot take (you can only use the MC argument for so long before it begins to wear thin he literally got stronger by sitting on his ass for half a year while Knux, Silver, Tails, etc got jobbered ).

He should have shot him while he slept.
I've always believed that Eggman wants to defeat/kill Sonic on a equal level you know? Like knowing the doctor, Eggman is pretty narcissistic and is the kind of villain who'd want to bring Sonic below his level before finishing him off for good.
Could he have killed Sonic like that? Yes, but that wouldn't have satisfied his ego I'd imagine if that makes sense

I'll give IDW this, it at least gives a reason behind why Eggman does the things he does.

Yeah he tried to "break" Sonic by locking him up for six months and making him watch the war (as his useless friends put up little to no fight against Dr Eggman) and planned to banish him into deep space iirc (judging by the original script and not the try hard localization).

But we all know how that ended up.

And then he goes from getting bullied by Infinite to kicking him around the curb like nothing in every subsequent fight, which kills the threat that Infinite supposedly brought to the table.
This is a bit of a stretch, but a friend of mine has a theory that Sonic Forces was made as sort of a mocking gesture to those who wanted SEGA to bring back a bit more mature writing and story telling to the series post Black Knight and while that may not be true I personally get that vibe just from watching those cutscenes
