Sonic General Discussion Zone Act 1: New Frontiers

The Character Profiles for Sonic 06's development have Blaze origin as the Sol Dimension (That and her being shy for being flat). There was never a intent of making Blaze be from Silver's future (Unlike Eggman Nega that did have a contradictory origin according to Rival's development team). No material for 06 ever said Blaze was from Silver's future, they all said she was from the Sol Dimension, but somehow got into Silver's future due to being able to travel across time and space.

It's just that people assumed that her being there meant she was from there, when that was never the intent.

Yeah, it adds to things getting convoluted. Though I think at one point in development this was the intention given Blaze's presence in the story. But at the same time, I think the inconsistencies are a result of 06 being stuck as an early draft due to rushed development. So the plot point didn't get all the time in the oven that it needed. But the intention was definitely trying to connect it to Sonic Rush in some form, given comments made about Burning Blaze and such.

Chaos Rift would be so cool if actually reanimated to look better and cooler. The concept is cool, just Dark Brotherhood looks like garbanzo.

Honestly, would love to see more unique Chaos Powers for Shadow.

Question for all yall, actually. What kind of Chaos Powers do you guys think would be cool for Shadow? Or even powers in general? Let's brainstorm a little cuz I have some cool ideas in mind as well I'd like to share, but I wanna here yall first.

I personally don't think it would since that's not really Shadow's style at all.

Also Shadow technically already has that. It's called Chaos Spear.

It's cheating, but I want Shadow's Doom powers to be ****** up. I need him to be hot, half-dead from pain and also simultaneously Alex Mercer. What he got in Shadow Gens. didn't do any of that unfortunately.

It's cheating, but I want Shadow's Doom powers to be ****** up. I need him to be hot, half-dead from pain and also simultaneously Alex Mercer. What he got in Shadow Gens. didn't do any of that unfortunately.

I wanna see some Prototype-esque stuff with Shadow too, yeah. I thought Shadow Gens was gonna go that way, but instead we got Doom Spear (premise is a bit lame), Doom Surf (kinda very lame), Doom Morph (this should've been what Doom Surf was tacked on with its existing powers), Doom Blast (literally just him punching and kicking into a chaos snap combo, but stronger I guess), and Doom Wing (the only one that really matters).

I remember back with the Ultra Instinct hype back in the day I cooked up a form for Shadow somewhat inspired by it.

It's called Anti-Hero Shadow, being a combination of his Dark and Hero forms from his game, which makes it purple.

Basically the idea is that it combined the two forms and exponentially increases their abilities, now Shadow can passively use the Hero form Space-time manipulation abilities to easily dodge any attack and his attack power and Chaos Energy got far stronger and destructive than his Dark Form.

Not really. They are rather large in size if they're large if not larger than his entire body AND he can charge them with Chaos Lance. They aren't always a multiattack. Only when he wants them to be

Also, it doesn't have to be restricted to a character but that doesn't make it fit Shadow's vibe still. He's not a burrower kind of guy. Knuckles shows that way more.

Sounds fine-ish. I had a similar idea of a "Chaos Mode" that's a combination of Dark and Hero, but more equal-parts of each than just being objectively stronger. Never saw Dark and Hero Shadow as forms and more of just modes like how Kaioken isn't a form. I had a cool ability tried to it called "Chaos Flash", which combined properties of Chaos Control and Chaos Blast. Basically a bright, reality-bending flash of chaos power that has immediate area of affect on use that damages all enemies on screen while stunning/paralyzing anyone on screen. (Based Chaos Flash a bit off of the Hyper Flash from Sonic 3 & Knuckles)

Either that or he summons a barrage of Chaos Spears from the skies downward that damages and "pins" all enemies in place for a good amount of time. Also good for area denial since the spears are flying about.

However, I do like Chaos Flash more as a power.

Honestly, it's difficult to come up with new, fitting Chaos powers for Shadow when the basis of his powerset is a bunch of rule-of-cool powers

Teleportation, energy blasts that are electrical, space-time manipulation, giant fuckoff omnidirectional blast

I think that makes it easier to make up cool new moves ot techniques, honestly.
