Honestly, I always thought it was a mental thing. Like how Martian Manhunter had a weakness to fire until he realized it's not as dangerous as he was making it out to be and that weakness eventually went away. I feel like Sonic (mainly Sonic) & co. are in the same boat.

Sonic should get an higher rating when using color powers, he explicitly says he felt much more powerful when using them.

If I can find some stuff worth noting sure. There's a pretty good lifting strength feat though for the characters where they stopped a runaway train.

Here, in Shuffle there are gems called Forcejewels which can be used in gameplay.

They seem to enable Limited Mind Manipulation (By forcing opponents to move or use their items), Barrier Creation, Teleportation, BFR, Resistance to these powers (With Blockite)

Then again, Sonic Shuffle is non canon because I said so.
