Time Travel is out of character. Besides, Goku shouldn't be able to bypass Silver's TK.

Even though his LS should have been changed since a long time ago.
 
I’m sure Goku could think of methods to get around Silver’s TK like Light Manipulation and BFR, they just aren’t Goku’s go-to-methods like Ki blasts which Silver can reflect with his TK.

goku literally never uses bfr in character like, ever. and solar flare is used via a hand gesture which obv silver is restraining
 
Actually just a question that I had in mind, does Silver instantly start by using TK to restrain opponents in this incarnation? I know his canon counterpart does.

He does, even react to Sonic charging at him in rage at close range (Archie Sonic is the most prone to anger out of all incarnations) while Silver was in the middle of talking by catching him with his TK.

Arguing for Goku, he has techniques like Afterimages Silver never deals with and Silver doesn’t hold his opponent till the end of the fight.

The problem here is Goku's stamina, MUI is a technique/form that drains a lot of Goku's power to be maintained (like he against Jiren he keeps it up only for a few minutes straight and the form fades away), and he didn't have specific training like in manga to avoid this overall stamina issues.

Is there another Goku key that would be better?
 
Silver can use TK to restrain Goku. However Goku has kiai, an invisible Ki blast he can shoot from his eyes, by powering up, a simple hand gesture, or by shouting. Silver wouldn’t be able to see it coming and will get incapacitated or killed in the process.
 
Base silver vs Goku?
Lets see, in terms of hand to hand combat, goku has an overwhelming martial arts advantange.
Energy based attacks? Goku has power null.
Goku needs any other ability? He mimics ki based techniques he has witnessed before (and he does do this in character to win a fight)
Plus all of the hax he can use if hypothetically silver is too high into low 2-c for goku.
Plus the rest of his page full of abilities, this is way too one sided.

So goku slams badly.
If super silver was allowed I could see an argument made for him

Oi, were you paying attention to the thread?

Silver scales to Knuckles one-shotting something that was unscathed by a Low 2-C explosion caused by an early Super Sonic and Hyper Knuckles. Pre-Great Harmony, back when their increase in strength was only a thousandfold. Couple this with the Freedom Fighters surviving attacks from an Emerald-amped Mogul, who's power is ALSO said to increase a thousandfold, and the cast more or less scales to "1000x baseline Low 2-C". I even said so in the thread.

So I don't think MUI is doing any one-shotting here, folks.
