Something about Mario's speed really really bothers me.

His Massively FTL speed is in both instances not his own travel or combat speed.


He uses launch stars, starship mario, and dodges Bowser's attacks....all of theses are completely external for the first two, and the third merely shows Mario might have MFTL+ reaction speed.


Mario at no point shows launch star speed without its usage. all of which only exist due to Lumas.

Actually, Mario can fly off of Starship Mario to a galaxy without a Launch Star in Super Mario Galaxy 2, so I think his speed feats make sense.

That's not how reaction speed works. Mario dodging Meteors, especially considering said meteors are larger than his body, are scaled to all kinds of speed. Otherwise, all KH characters, and all DB characters scaled from Raditz have their speed wrong.
