Shedinja vs Medaka

Medaka charges it.

She goes through it because it's a ghost.

She turns around to face it.

She loses her soul.
I'd like to hear if Shedinja turns around to face enemies that phase through it, before voting Shedinja for those reasons.

There's also the fact that Shedinja's quite a bit stronger than her and could kill her in one hit. If Medaka AFs back, she'll be facing a Shedinja that turned away to leave.

Tfw precisely the only ghost who is not intangible is intangible?

Shedinja is the physical husk left by Nincada when they evolve. It has a physical body.

  • Intangibility: Due to being a ghost type, most physical attacks should go right through it without harm. Note that any attack imbued with certain elemental attributes such as fire, water etc. will bypass this.
This isn't about whether Ice-Fire would work, but about whether Shedinja is corporeal or not. In that clip, Shedinja does fall to the ground and shake it.

You do realize that my point is Shedinja shaking the ground after being defeated, right? And not the fact that it was hit with fire.

"Shedinja is an evolutionary byproduct of Nincada's evolution; the discarded husk. This Pokémon is said to have originated from a discarded bug shell, which then came to life. Peering into the crack on its back is said to steal one's spirit."

"Shedinja's hard body doesn't move - not even a twitch. In fact, its body appears to be merely a hollow shell. It is believed that this Pokémon will steal the spirit of anyone peering into its hollow body from its back."

"A strange Pokémon--it flies without moving its wings, has a hollow shell for a body, and does not breathe."

Ghost Pokemon are wierd. Frankly I think there needs to be a CRT made about how the heck we're supposed to treat them. Some people think just elemental attacks effect them. Some people think all Pokemon have Non-Physical interaction.

Why would it now be facing away from her? Also, she has info analysis so she should know not to look at its back

I mean, in Mystery Dungeon you can hit Shedinja with normal attacks.

You can hit any ghost in Mystery Dungeon with regular attacks, no matter how obviously intangibile they are

Then... You shouldnt use MD as an argument. Game mechanics everywhere.

Why would Shedinja going through walls be game mechanics? He's one of the few Pokemon specifically allowed to naturally walk through walls. That's clearly intended to show its intangibility.

You simply ignore every single Pokedex entry Shedinja has. Simple.

First of all, hyperbole.

Second of all, none of those prove he's not intangible. Rotom is obviously intangible, but is stated to be made of plasma which isn't immaterial. He could simply be a supernatural bug shell.

Thirdly, imagine a fictional verse being inconsistent about intangibility

What stop medaka for literaly make the bug ran away? She passively affraid Animals

Ignoring my comment above, Medaka just look, Copy all of Shedinja and use them at 120%, or just Use Encounter (which work on non corporeal stuffs)

Medaka has my vote.

Shedinja isn't exactly an animal, idk if the fear manip would work.

The power mimicry is fair, if she uses that often ic

>PaChi posts compelling evidence of Shedinja's tangibility, supported by Pokedex entries

>dismissed as hyperbole

>some of our Pokemon tiering is based on Pokedex entries

Stoned

Having a physical body doesn't mean you can't become intangible.

Also Shedinja in Pokémon Ranger can disintegrate its body and rearm it in another place (works like teleportation or something)

Not what I meant. PaChi said that 'every single Pokedex entry Shedinja has' supports Shedinja being tangible, which is incorrect and a hyperbole to make his argument more convincing.

@Fire Shedinja had 8 votes over a day before Medaka got her 7.
