I don't remember if earth was mentioned in metroid. The earth colony that Samus resided was destroyed by the space pirates and ridley, but I'm not sure with earth.

Nah she was born on a different planet @Gar, Earth is interestingly absent from Metroid, not to mention it wasn't ridley who destroyed the planet, it was Samus dad

Ah, I thought it was earth, forgot the colony was actually separate.

Still, she doesn't know she's on Earth so that might (Probably not) help with the idea of her using the beam.

So........

I guess I'll go with Samus here?

Because Samus still one shots with anything regardless of whether or not she'll lead with the ice beam, and Gil's only chance at killing her is Ea, and since she isn't Divine Enkidu is worthless.

Combine that with her damn good precog and I can see her barely taking this..

It's not a reason. She can have infinite amount of weapons with which she can one-shot, but she will still use only one.

If anything, it's a stupid reason. God forbid if someone actually discussed strategies they might employ in a battle. It's better to just compare character pages.

It is a stupid reason

Issue is, that wasn't the reason I was referring too.

She has every ability at her disposal immediately, while Gil can one shot with one that has to be charged.

@Swag you clearly do not know what Samus can do.

A lot of her weapons stack to each other, and a good chunk of those that stack one shots. Even if both of them were at the same tier, Samus has numerous durability negating weapons, and a good chunk of them are part of her baseline weaponry.

Robert Downey Jr. has got nothing on this.

Because the effects start the moment it starts spinning, not after it is charged. It's quite simple, but for some reason has to be repeated in every thread.

Twisting space at such a big distance away won't do shit and he will not get any time to fire.

He still needs to whip it out the gate, he still needs to charge it and fire it.
