Saber (Fate Series) vs. Tohka Yatogami (Date a Live)

Well then, if no one has any objections, I'd like to add this to her notable victories section.

Why not? Just mention that it would be ground-based battle than since reaction speed means nothing versus flying Tohka. =)

I'll also have to go with saber. People state that excaliblast takes time, but both saber and saber alter have feats for using excaliblast with only the slightest delay. Most of the reason why she doesn't spam excaliblast is because she lacks the prana for it(and it is hinted that was how she faught in life if i recall correctly). As for an air battle she also has the power to summon a small cyclone with invisible air and jump from the ground to the top of a massive hotel while dodging archer's caladbolg bolg moving at mach 15. She also has easy precog and if the final sword does take time to charge she can casually avalon the moment it is used for an easy dodge if she doesn't have the the power to out right counter it with excalibur like she does with other city sized attacks (like full power belpheron). This is all ignoring the fact that she has shown complete control of excaliblast (covering the entirety of fuyuki including the mountain without killing any civilian or destroying any building perfectly destroying all of the angra manyu clones) would allow for constant omni directional attacks.

being stuck to the ground doesn't really stop saber, but even if it did. From what i know of tohka she doesn't just sit in the air and spam air attacks for the hours it would take to attempt to wittle down saber's endurance to win by such means.(assuming she has the mana to spam mountain level attacks for hours) especially with saber's magic resist absolutly nullifying town level magic attacks casually (caster is a city+ level herself as of hollow artaxia, but the only thing she has that can really effect saber at all is her knife)

Go back and look at the vn again. not only does she start excalbur before gilgamesh launches his attack she calls out his name at the very least calling forth the sword and finally gilgamesh is very clearly covered in the light of a small excaliblast which looks fundamentally different then a prana burst.

Finally with saber's dragon heart and rin as her master (ignoring alive saber and saber alter both of which are agruably stronger) does have the prana to basically keep going for hours. (as for the going after rin approach assuming tohka would try that rin herself has the kaleido stick as of hollow artaxia, though i don't want to make this a two on one so i will simply say she isn't an exploitable weakness.)

I would give Tohka the win if Saber was under Shiro as a master but if she was contracted under Rin then I would say that Tohka would have it difficult but she would give Saber a good battle. while I would say that they are relitavly equal on their power alone if Saber was powered by a Command seal she would gain tremendous power, through a seal Saber is as fast as Hruntring with can travel four Kelomiters in less then a second and is capable of Atomizing a Titanic regenerative monster in second with a fully powered Excalibur.
