RWFC6: Old First

On the other side of the door, is a vast room of white as far as the eye can see. While there is a floor, and a single wall opposite from the door, the room seems to extend infinitely in every other direction. A small white ferret rests in the middle of the floor, and hovering in the sky are several of the different types of entrances you pictured.

Upon anyone entering the room, you all hear a voice.

"WELCOME TRAVELLERS, YOU HAVE DONE WELL TO- pffft nah I can't do it. You guys are too much. A friendship circle? Really? Haha, you all looked so adorable."

It looks like Azencard is embarrassed. "Heh"

I cover my mouth and look away for a moment before getting it together.

"Yes, who are you?" I ask the ferret.

"You knew I was the ferret right away, huh?"

The ferret walks up to Ilia and rubs against her leg.

"I'm the architect of your upcoming trials. I guess you can call me... Alpha. You're here to unlock your full power right? Ehh, don't bother answering. I already know."

".......Yeah, you do make a point. I'll shoot myself for bringing it up." He joked, trying to get out of this mess.

"So when do we start?"
"You can start whenever you want, though I'd recommend you hear the rules first. If you're in that much of a hurry, the door's over there."

A door appears on the wall across from the one you entered from.

"Gah" *I was launched into the white void with everyone there and...they look fine...WELLLLL. NACHT you are a bastard...but I heard he laughed when he said friendship circle* "I would have to agree...when did we regress back to 6? Or have the power of friendship as a plot. I said as I look like a dead corpse alive and crawling around. This universe hates me I swear*

"Alright I'll start with the basics. Firstly, everybody who wants participate will go through that door over there. Your trial starts the moment you walk in, and you won't be able to come back out until you've either passed or failed. If you pass, your potential will be unlocked as you receive your next soul. Those who don't wish to participate should remain out here."

He climbs up onto Jackson's head for a better view point.

"Once you go through, you'll find a number of doors on the other side, each containing a guardian who will give you a test based on their own inherent values. You can see what that value is by reading the door before entering. Just like the main door, you won't be able to exit a guardian's test until you've either passed it, or failed and been kicked out. When you begin the trial, I'll give each of you three "hearts". Think of them as lives or health in a video game. If you fail a room, you lose one heart. If you lose all three, you fail the trial entirely, and will no longer be able to participate. Once you've cleared enough rooms as a group, you'll all pass as long as you entered the first door. However, if any of you fail during the test, you'll lose all of your current souls, and your will, and will have to work for me here as a guardian for the rest of eternity. If you have any questions, I'll gladly hear them."

".....Hold on." He then went into a corner. "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGGGH!" He screamed, not wanting to do this at all. He wanted to end this miserable journey at this point.

"How many guardians are there and how many people have passed all the tests? Also, when you say clearing rooms as a group, do you mean that we can take tests together or that we can split up and multiple of us can clear groups separately which adds up to our needed amount?"

"Oh I forgot to mention that. It's actually ideal that you split up, and some of the rooms have a minimum and/or maximum occupancy."

"SPLIT UUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUP!?" He started to try and back up, scared as he then grabbed a gun from nowhere.

"Okay, okay, Billy, okay, you can do this....you can do this, Gilbert." He then decides he's ready, but not before asking a question. "Is killin' allowed here?"

"Well, sound like a fine challenge to me...Some of the ideals itself are iffy though."

I comment, excitedly goes in to check on the challenge.

"So if any of us fail we all fail" I ask looking at the ferret on my head.
"Nope. If one of you fails, only that person will be out and the rest of you can continue."

I turn to Kura, giving her hand a comforting squeeze.

"Are you ready?"
"U-um."

Not realizing she'd been holding your hand the whole time, Kura lets go of it before turning to the ferret (and a little red).

"I'm not collecting past souls like the rest of them, I'm just their guide. Am I meant to take part in this trial too?"

"Ahh, yes, there were two like you who came before as well. The trial is meant to unlock the true potential of those who overcome it, but for a watcher such as yourself, it hardly seems necessary. The ones who came before you declined so as to uphold their role as simple guides, but you're free to take part as well if you want."

Kura seems indecisive.

"Doesn't us losing our current souls seem a little bit extra?"
"They'll just get in the way of your proper guardian duties."

[Are you going through the door?]

"I'm gonna fail, I know it. I can't even succeed in living life." He said, shocked as he slowly inches towards the door. "Wait, hold the f**king party up, you didn't answer me!"

"Hm? Oh right, killing. Depends on the guardian I suppose."

"Depends? F**king depends? Well, f**k me for also being one depending motherf**ker, alright!?" He shouted at the ferret, before realizing something. He was shouting at a ferret.

"What the hell is up with me? Oh, and also, is weaponry allowed?"

"Can someone give me a run down what just happened...I was busy with myself" *I get up slightly better but I can tell my insides are still charred. I somehow blend in for the life of me somehow...*

"Yo why are you planning on stripping us of all our power if we fail if there's a giant demon darkness that's gonna absorb all of reality."

"Bring whatever you want."

"If you couldn't overcome this you would have never been able to win against the Supreme Darkness if it gave you an eternity."

"Would Kura lose anything if we failed and she took part?"
"She'd become a guardian alongside you of course."

[@Andy]

As you enter the room, the door behind you disappears, and three floating "hearts" appear above your head. Across the room is one massive door, with an empty meter next to it. Four normal doors appear on each side of the big one. They're labeled "This guardian values" followed by a specific attribute.

On the left: Strength, Speed, Wisdom, Beauty.

On the right: Courage, Patience, Luck, Cooking.

There's a note on the ground that reads: "doors may change over time".

"Ok good. I don't want to deal with that bloody black flamed bastard" *I was so shocked i forgot i was in pain and moaned. And we need guardians...great....frankly I hope I just get through this. Though i notice ppl seem to not notice me. Meh...I don't need to explain my burned up state though idk who i held. But a voice echo in me: "They seem to be fun~ But you know you can't come with them in the end"* "..." *Screw him. I want him dead but...I need him and he needs me. Though when will I break I wonder. I decide to think of not asking for a guardian because...for crying out loud this seems like a hassel to do. But if this can tame nacht even for a bit then I should be fine...I think?* "Wait we can just enter the door ourselves right?"

So it's these 8...

First, Strength and Speed...probably I could leave it to other that's better than me for this, Beauty would make me sound pretentious no matter how you slice it. Patience...honestly, I don't feel like I have alot of it, I does feel very Lucky with getting into the tourney earlier, but not after I get eliminated, and Cooking is a mixed-bag.

"So..."Wisdom", "Courage", and maybe "Cooking" huh? Let try Wisdom first, then...I does feel pretty smart that I know why Cooking is essential after all."

With that, I entered Wisdom.
