RWBY dodge outlier?

We see Mercury get hit by projectiles in her fight with Yang, hit by leaves from the maiden, and said maiden can't dodge arrows from Cinder. Plus Cinder used arrows instead of Mercury or Emerald just blitzing her, a lot of inconsistencies.

@Gargoyle

We generally scale up a character's projectiles to their combat speed, lest those projectiles be useless. In addition, that same fight is when the lightning-dodging feat takes place.

Hence why those are clear inconsistencies, the speed feat doesn't even stay consistent for the same episode.

@Gargoyle

You're not understanding. This is not the first time lightning has been used in RWBY, Nora ran up a mountain to jump into the path of a lightning bolt earlier that season. In addition, if it were an outlier, it would have been dismissed since this was discussed for a LONG time.

We generally treat characters' attacks as having the same speed as their others unless otherwise specified in the story, or else certain attacks would be useless compared to the fighter's attack speed.

The speeds are okay where they are, although the lightning calc for Mercury could be re-done a bit to get a more accurate value for speed.
