RWBY Discussion thread 2

I don't think it's released yet, but like half the entire roster is DLC.
WHAT!?

Game isn't even released and they have trailers and gameplay of DLC Character!?

That's bad, when is the game suppose to release?

@Poinciana

I'm not even exaggerating, 20 of the 40 characters in the game are DLC, including Blake and Yang, so the only RWBY characters in the entire base game are Ruby and Weiss.

It's being released in late May/early June (For the JP and NA versions respectively).

Eeyup.

Now if everyone will excuse me, I'll just pick up FighterZ.

A fighting game that actually cares about having a comprehensible roster and not "muh DLC characters".

@Muhammed

They are playable, but the problem is that you usually have to buy them separate from the base game in order to unlock them.

The Everlasting said:
Oh they already do (Android 13 and Tapion are already confirmed), but they're not major characters/half the goddamn roster.
Those are for Xenoverse, the new playable char. is Android 21.

@Poinciana

Given that the final RWBY episode of the season is taking place tomorrow, I don't see why we can't wait a couple of days to see and process those feats before writing the profile.

Oh I know, I probably should have said when Volume 5 ended.

Raven was finally given the Reason You Suck Speech I was waited for.

This Volume ended exactly like I thought it would and I'm happy.

No, she states that if they follow him, he'll just pick them off one by one. if he were 7-B, he'd stomp both of them from the get-go and wouldn't need to run away.

Both season 4 and season 5 have been pretty rubbish overall. Having a couple of flashy fights and over-the-top speeches isn't enough to redeem a season.

Both. Season 4 I could of skipped and come back in season 5 and be none the wiser
I still love Volume 4, didn't find anything pointless. Different opinions I guess but I won't try to convince you other wise.

We all have a right to like what we want.

Also I'm not making Hazel profile even though I wanted to.

I was making it but my internet was shut off when I went to save so... I lost everything and I don't have the enthusiasm I had before anymore.

  • Watch the episode.
A little disappointed by it. I was expecting they took down more of the baddies, it feels like Cinder just got Roman's treatment. I will call it bullshit if Cinder comes back in the next season. Also, I knew the artifact would be some sort of a lamp.

On other hand (no hand intented there), Yang and Raven conversation was well executed. It's may not answered all the questions I had, but hey, beggar can't be chooser.

Overall, truly an enjoyable season.

Volume 4 had the worst fights, but to say it's bad is pretty crazy. I do appreciate how they developed the plot, introduced new characters, and bothered to give us a backstory to Ren and Nora. Qrow vs Tyrion was the only good fight in the volume. It's obviously the least interesting of the 5 volumes, but it's not bad by any means... the fights are another matter.

Once someone finally gets around to making Hazel's profile, how would we treat his aura? Would it have its own regen key? It was stated to be outregening attacks from all of rwby, jnpr, Qrow, and Oscar at once which is quite frankly insane.

@Morlock

We can't really quantify how fast his Aura is recharging because it's Aura, not an actual wound.

Hazel is effectively a Halo character wielding a Gravity Hammer with a constantly Overcharged shield. As long as he doesn't take too much punishment at once, he's nigh-unstoppable due to how fast his shield recharges.
