RWBY Discussion thread 2

(I can respect keeping expectations low)

I don't think Cinder's coming back this volume period maybe as a after credits scene.

To me this Volume was setting up the butt whooping Cinder has had coming for a long time, not her death but being humiliated and I mean truly humiliated.

I see Watts standing smugly over Cinder about how he was right and Salem being disappointed with Cinder for failing this mission.

The song that played was about Cinder losing and the title was called DownFall. It seems like the show is making it so she isn't winning this volume... to me anyway.

The heros can't always win OR lose.

Cinder lost her aura, had her mask shattered, and was frozen solid.

(Possibly disappointed at Hazel for losing his cool as well)

Hazel is a let down but I have hopes that there's more to it. Hazel doesn't seem like a idiot so I think this training mission was more then what Ozpin said.

But after everything that's been said what do you think they could do to make Hazel's backstory more interesting to you at least.

Also.

Ruby's quote sucks.

Fix it with the one in Chapter 11, thousands of times better.
Speaking of. That scene where Jaune told Cinder to "say something" and Cinder replied "who are you again" was such a missed opportunity for a more badass response. It was saddening really. I like Cinder.

THIS is how it should of went:

"We've all lost something. I've seen what loss can do to people. But if we gave up every time we lost, then we'd never be able to keep moving forward. We'd never have a chance to see whatever beautiful things the future might have waiting for us. And we'd never be there for other people, who one day, might be lost without us. Because there are plenty of people out there who are still lost, and even more who will try to gain everything they can from their sorrow. Believe me when I say I know it can feel impossible. Like every single day is a struggle against some unstoppable monster we can never hope to beat. But we have to try… If not for us, then for the people we've already…For the people we haven't lost yet."

I really like this one

Spring maiden Yang is so inbound. I don't expect Cinder to come back (at least right away) but I have a creeping sense Salem's gonna appear and stomp Raven to death.

Does Yang's semblance increase her defense as well?

She was able to stop Roman's Mech with one hand after activating her Semblance. Also Mercury was unable push her away with his kicks after she activated her Semblance.

Despite what the RWBY wikia says, yes, its demonstrated several times to increase her defense as well, hell even by increasing her striking strength means its increasing her durability

FML. I've been waiting for a RWBY fighting game and they make it a DLC fest. Couldn't even make the main cast non-DLC. The main flipping cast.

If Cinder's not in this game I'm not freaking buying it.

Sigh. I want to know one thing.

If BBCTB comes with powerful feats for RWBY characters, would you guys make upgrades for them, or at least, seperate profiles from the canon story?
