RWBY Discussion thread 2

Kk, but seriously, I'll wait till next episode till Oscar shows comparable to one of the 8-A's at most, or Hazel starts beating him down. Just think it was stupid to rate him 7-B so early when Lionheart is not convincingly 7-B nor was Oscar actually fighting Hazel himself.

So what happens if Oscar fights another 7-B? (Not trying to be rude just really curious on how you would respond to that)

Heck what if we never see Oscar fight again till another training arc happens?

Honestly, if Oscar starts beating up Cinder and Raven simultaneously, then you got a point, but right now Lionheart is no way near convincing as a 7-B, the guy is hilarious the way he fights, and specialises in range, and we'll have to see with Hazel, but Ozpin was the only reason he's still alive with that guy. Ozpin had to force him out.

If he's still training alongside 8-A's though, not showing clear dominance, then he's definitely low tier 8-A, which is honestly high end I'm willing to rate him

I literally just said I did, I was merely answering a question if that's alright with you dad

@Jinx I guess we should downgrade Glendale for being just a ranged fighter then? Even though she has feats that prove she has 7-B everything?

No idea who glendale is.but its like you don't actually want me to stop. If you're referring to Glynda then she's definitely 7-B yes, she's tanked attacks from cinder and her telekinesis is great

Lionheart has proved he's terrible in a physical fight, he is definitely not 7-B physically, his weapon is his only saving grace, and like he said himself, he's grown much weaker and not the huntsman he used to be. Leo isn't a physical 7-B

I thought Oscar was 7B for fighting Hazel so why is Lionheart being mentioned?
People think he's worthy enough to be mentioned as evidence though the guy cant fight physicallh at all, nor without his ranged weapon.

I don't get why he blames Ozpin specifically, the only thing ruining it for me, unless Ozpin directly was involved, which I wouldn't blame him for

Also, now that we have different tiers for Raven, shouldn't we do it for Amber. Amber was only using her Maiden powers after her aura escaped, but she was fighting fairly well against Merc, Emerald and Cinder base, though still getting pretty beat up.

I'd say she's 7-B physically for being able to push down Cinder and survive the majority of her attacks, but she could also be 8-A cause she was getting hurt by Merc and Em

How does everyone feel about Hazel's sister situation?
I honestly feel it's a nice way to give him character. RWBY's villains so far have honestly been lacking, and just kinda generic, but Hazel is given a legitimate reason.

I primarily interpret him blaming Ozpin as just him needing someone to project his feelings towards his sister's death on. He wants a justifiable reason for feeling it, and thus projects it on a person he can legitimately blame.

Oh ffs, everlasting changed Ravens key

@Everlasting

There is such thing as activating the maiden power, their eyes glow when they activate the power, which is why Raven had to use the helmet to hide the flames. Amber was only using her maiden powers when the eyes flashed too

Also she told Vernal not to 'waste' her power, suggesting you can indeed turn it on and off

If we make her 7-A, more people will start to question why Qrow isn't 7-A if he's equal to her

Activating the power doesn't make them stronger or weaker.

No, that just implies the power is finite.

And we can just answer that with one sentence: "The person didn't know Raven was a Maiden".

It does...its maiden power, Raven can't summon a 7-A energy output storm without the magic, and nothing suggest it buffs physical power. Unless you think maidens don't give someone a power increase and are about the samely powered as every other Huntsmen.

Wtf no it doesn't. The eyes flash when the powers are being used, it doesn't suggest anything that power is finite, Cinder can't even make a small elemental fireball without her eyes flashing. They're markers. The fact she tells her not to use it, not only to cover it up to cinder, just shows maidens can control whether they use their powers or not by will

We er...can, cause they honestly didn't know Raven was the maiden apart from Vernal, but Qrow and raven were fighting equally while Raven wasn't using her maiden powers

Someone tell him please.

Y'all have been arguing over this for how long? Lmao just move on. I personally don't agree with 7-B Oscar myself but i stopped arguing against it awhile ago. You should do the same. I might not like it but it seems he does scale to Hazle.

Maiden power doesn't increase physical power, it gives the user magical abilities. Raven is able to turn her power on and off by control, how else has she not been stomping on everyone, and how the hell has she been able to hide it.

Weekly you admitted yourself she had to hide her eye flash when she was summoning that storm in the helmet. It won't upgrade Qrow rn, get over it

Its a magical power that can be turned on and off, just like Ravens other magic ability in turning into a raven. You've gotta be kidding

I hope that the thing about Hazel sister is developed a bit more instead of simply being mentioned once and left apart. It would make Hazel way more interesting as a character personally.

I agree with that 100%

I would love to see a little flashback or something else since Hazel was already my favorite of the villians since he seemd far more interesting.

That doesn't mean anything, why are you so sure Cinder is killing Raven and taking her powers? It's not like the show has been building up to Raven dying.

I still want more Raven honestly. I don't think she should be killed this volume, but shes definitely gonna get it at sometime, that spring maiden power not being given to the villains wont further the plot

Well, with the big reveal, and Cinder wanting all that sweet juicy maiden power, there's no way Cindy won't be trying to kill her...

Our you honestly telling me after everything that's happen Raven just going to die without her story being resolved?

She's just going to drop dead and the show moves on forgetting about her?

I wouldn't be too surprised if Raven ends up depowered like Amber (it would also be interesting to see how Qrow and Yang react to it) but I think that she will probably manage to escape in some way.

I don't think that she is going to die yet (although she definitely will sooner or later)
