I am inclined to agree with AKM.

No one can make autism jokes here. No exceptions. It's on the same level as racial jokes or religious ones. That kind of trollish rhetoric doesn't belong in our presence. Several members here are autistic and are some of the most well behaved people on this site.

And before anyone says it, I make a clear distinction between fiction and reality (as anyone should). So if someone calls Haju autistic, I really don't care, but mocking real autistic people is unacceptable. Just making sure we're clear so there's no pointless argument.

Well, I am not particularly sensitive about it. I mean, I am aware of that I have some mental limitations, and am used to a lot of very severe mocking in this regard. Others may be more sensitive though, and it is still very inappropriate.

Jokes about religion, race and even autism depend on context but I don't think they are acceptable in any context here.

Not necessarily. All humor is derived from suffering. Race, religion and yes, even mental disease, included. So, there is probably a way to make all them funny WITHOUT insulting somebody.

As an avid supporter of free speech, context, at least in my opinion, should ALWAYS be taken into consideration, in every social circumstance.

However, King Cold's behavior is extremely suspicious nonetheless, so there's also that.

Well aware, but we are derailing so let's discuss that another time.

Autism isn't mental illness. It is different mental wiring that works like a disability in a few respects.

I am also a major free speech supporter, but we have to try our best to adapt to the Fandom rules.

Anyway, that is enough derailing.

So have we ever banned a "Shaggy Rogers"? Talking with a dude under the name on YT. Claims to have been banned for having an opinion. Now I'm almost certain he did something to get banned, but he refuses to give any context. Could I get some here then?

I don't remember him. Sorry.

Hunter Wizard was arguing that 3-A should be only 3-B in chat and ignored Kaltais' and Sera's warning to make a revision thread instead, was very rude and insulting people even when they were just explaining the tier.

He was a bit rude but not too bad. I do think that major criticisms to the system should be taken seriously though and properly discussed in a thread rather than ranting on chat.

Sera EX said:
Should be banned I think.

What the hell is bum anyway?

I originally thought he meant "looks like a bum" a.k.a a homeless person, but he clarified he meant "dumb".

I think banning him is a bit of extreme move.

Warning at the very most. Nothing much, just lowkey insults and criticisms to the Tiering System.

A warning is probably fine.

We can't have people unreasonably criticizing our practices with no alternatives. He was mainly just going "Lmao it's still just 3-B. Change my mind". He couldn't give us an appropriate example of what he thinks Universe level should be, instead he was just bashing. Sounds familiar? It's being stubbornly unreasonable on top of unnecessary in insulting people just for calcing. So if that's just warning-worthy than it needs to be strict because when someone else criticizes the system they get told to drop it immediately and they don't even bash.

So would a temporary ban be better then?

I am in a distracted state of mind, so my judgement isn't the best at the moment.

I still say a very strict warning should suffice.

The fact that some people are suggesting strict warnings and bans for stuff as light as "the Tiering System is dumb" just solidifies how much of a circlejerk VS Battles Wiki looks like to everyone else in the VS Debating Community. I definitely wouldn't and don't want to participate in a website where everyone is under a perfect dome where blocks are given for the slightest shit.

The skin of people here is thinner than the tip of a sword, seriously. It shouldn't surprise me but it still does.

I'm fine with a strict warning. He had his light warning from Kaltias himself in chat and ignored it.

@Shadow

If you believe calling someone else dumb qualifies as a strict warning or a ban (like you keep vouching for), I have bad news for you.

@Kepekley

He didn't just say VBW tiering is dumb, he said how we treat Universe level is the "the dumbest shit in the world". Again, he was warned by Kaltias and he ignored it, then proceeded to be unreasonable in all of his arguments and wouldn't drop it. That's not strict warning worthy? I wasn't offended by him to be honest. I didn't report him, Keiyu did. The insults is one thing, it's the unreasonable problematic nature that bothers me.

Im gonna have to agree with kepekley here to an extent. If we start banning people for stuff like this then it could look bad on us. Most of the critisisms that i hear about the wiki are actually about how they have been banned for the smallest little things. Although i understand being strict, banning people for petty insults without warning could damage the wikis reputation. I think he should just be given a warning.

Not being polite is one thing, not even trying to have a reasonable discussion with someone and doing nothing but ignoring everyone arguing against him is another.

I do believe a warning is enough, but I don't think the people calling for a ban are showing themselves to be thin skinned at all.

It's one thing to disagree with something. That's ok. However being rude and unreasonable about it (which is what this guy is doing) should have consequences.

@Sera

Also, he did not even say that. He said that scaling the universe to get its size, in general, was the dumbest shit in the universe in his view. He didn't even mention names there.

A moderate warning is at the top of what I vouch for here.

I agree with Andy, calling people thin skinned isn't fair when you weren't there to be honest. Warn him however you wish, and let's move on.
