"So that's all we need to know?" Dorei asked, practically interrogating the ruler at this point. Oddly enough, this was a beneficial duo: Dorei would grill Yharim, and Hibana would let all of this information sink in, chiming in when she believed Dorei missed something.
Hibana raised her fan in front of her face, a flame igniting from the edge of the opened fan. She looked toward Yharim, walking toward him without fear or hesitation. Being only a few feet away from the ruler, she stopped and looked him dead in the eyes.
"I will be ready to pay any price and any cost," Hibana said to him, "When this war is over, the grail will be my in my possession, and all of my opponents will be mere gravel crunched and crushed under my feet."
Dorei looked toward Hibana. She really was serious about winning this. From what he had seen of the character in the manga he read, she did have a very sadistic nature, and was driven by selfish motivations. In that manga, it was revenge. He wondered what it was for this Hibana? Could it be that she was just power hungry? Did something lead to that, or is this just her nature? Either way, he was still willing to help her. He did agree to do so, after all.
"And so will I," Dorei says.
