The Cultists only absorbed the darkness, pain suddenly completely piercing both Eredna and Mark's bodies, intense to the point where it could not be described in something so simple as the human language while the Cultists began looking for the source

After he finally got to stand up, Eredna will unroll the sleeves on one of his arms and shoves the nail of his pointing finger in, as he makes a slice across the whole limb, before he took the blood dripping off in a manner similar to water bending and holds it in his open palm, ready for use

"Well, just remember that they are a Cultist, the bloodbending abilities will not be something that he is not used to facing, maybe not at your level but that does not mean that he will be defenseless" Alex reminds him, since knowing the little information that Reaper Magnus giving them about the enemy's powers, anything was possible even more when they faced Reaper Malak's Cultist

(Just characters having convo to the others, Eredna and Mark had some pain running through them for attempting dark manip on cultists which absorbed it, looking for the source and most in the cast are getting ready for an assault, Alex, Eredna and Dhei are specifically, Kaminos too i guess)

(Basically, we're attacking the place. Eredna and Mark goofed by using darkness on them and got pieced up to an extent, and Kaminos is about to go "scorched earth" in the most literal sense of the phrase.)
